Chapter 466: Chapter 466: Threat

She desperately tidied up the mess, then left the hospital with the insulated container. Adam’s heart was with May Morgan; he couldn’t even be bothered to glance at her. She knew that staying any longer would only be self-humiliation.

After getting in the car, Maxwell Vance said dejectedly to the driver in front: ’Let’s go back.’

The driver in front didn’t start the car after hearing this, acting as if he hadn’t heard anything, sitting there motionless.

Maxwell waited for a while, sensing something strange about the driver in front, and couldn’t help asking again, "What’s wrong with you? Didn’t you hear me?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she reached out to push the person, but the moment her hand touched the person’s shoulder, she knew something was wrong, her face turned pale with fear, and she hurriedly tried to open the door and run away.

Because through the rear-view mirror, she saw Logan Vance’s terrifying face!

Logan locked the car door, forcing her into a corner with no way out. Maxwell was so frightened that she frantically pulled at the car handle, crying and begging Logan, ’Please, don’t kill me, okay? I’ll do whatever you say.’

"You’ll do whatever I say? Then why are you trying to run?" Logan slowly turned around, looking coldly at Maxwell, with a very sinister smile on his face: "Maxwell, how have you been doing lately?"

Maxwell knew she couldn’t escape, so she stopped futilely pulling the door, and instead looked at Logan’s face with a dejected expression: "How could I be okay? Last time, you egged me on to give Adam that kind of drug, he almost got killed by Victor Grant. Now the entire Owens Family looks down on me, if it weren’t for me being pregnant, they would probably have kicked me out already."

"Is that so? That bad? Well, that’s your own stupidity. Didn’t handle it well and left evidence." Logan touched his nose, deliberately shirking responsibility.

Maxwell couldn’t be bothered to argue with him about whose fault it was; she just wanted to get away from this mixed-up situation as soon as possible, especially since last time he almost killed her.

"Why did you come looking for me again? I have nothing now, life with Adam is worse than death. Let me go, please."

"Don’t make yourself sound so pitiful. You know why you were bewitched by me." Logan sneered coldly and suddenly turned around, grabbing Maxwell’s throat, nearly making her lose consciousness.

"Since you’re living so miserably, I’ll grant you a way out and send you off."

"No, don’t, help me, I don’t want to die..." Maxwell panicked and tried to hit Logan’s hand, but she was unable to move it. She wanted to shout for help, but the car was soundproof; no matter how she screamed, it was useless.

"Don’t kill me..." Desperate, Maxwell helplessly looked at Logan’s terrifying face, bitterly pleading with him.

Logan hadn’t originally intended to kill her; otherwise, he wouldn’t have gone through so much trouble to find her. It was far more useful to use her than to kill her.

"If you don’t want to die, then I’ll give you a path to live." Logan cracked his knuckles, gripping Maxwell’s throat, forcing her to open her mouth. Just then, a black worm quickly crawled out of Logan’s hand and into Maxwell’s mouth.

Once inside her mouth, the worm swiftly climbed down her throat into her body.

"Cough, cough... What did you make me eat?" Maxwell didn’t see clearly what Logan had given her, but she could feel something sliding into her throat, and nauseously retched.

But the worm was alive, and after entering the human body, it quickly parasitizes in the bloodstream; merely vomiting wouldn’t bring it out.

"A poisonous insect, do you like it? Hahahaha..." Logan watched leisurely as Maxwell’s face twisted in pain, laughing proudly.

Upon hearing that she had been forced to eat a worm, Maxwell’s face turned ashen with fright. She immediately reached to claw her throat: "You’re a pervert, why did you make me eat this?"

She’s still carrying a child. What if the worm harms her baby? Logan, you demon, you deserve to die!

"Relax. As long as you listen to me, I guarantee the safety of you and your child!" It was as if he could see into Maxwell’s mind, her true thoughts. Logan, eyeing the disheveled Maxwell, became even more wickedly smug in his smile.

Maxwell also guessed that he sought her out to control her to do something, but she no longer wanted to listen to this bastard because he was a complete devil. Working for him would only result in more terrible consequences.

"I’m not listening to you anymore, you’re a devil!" Maxwell gritted her teeth, glared at Logan, and decisively refused.

"Do you have a choice?" Logan sneered, and with a flick of his fingers, Maxwell’s stomach erupted with an unprecedented pain. She clutched her stomach, moaning in agony, breaking out in a cold sweat, and was on the verge of collapse.

"Stop, stop, I’ll listen to you, I’ll do whatever you say." Maxwell, gripping her tormented stomach, helplessly surrendered.

"That’s more like it. Take this, and find a way to make May Morgan consume it later."

Logan handed a small bottle of transparent liquid to Maxwell, indicating her to take it.

Maxwell hesitantly took the bottle, feeling somewhat uncertain: "What is this you’re giving me? Is it poison?"

If it was poison and May Morgan really died from it, wouldn’t her brother finish her off with one stab? It’s important to remember, he had sternly warned her not to target May again.

"Killing May Morgan would fit your intentions perfectly, wouldn’t it?" Logan sneered, slowly moving closer to Maxwell’s face, deliberately egging her on.

"But... but my brother..." Maxwell was somewhat tempted by Logan’s words and couldn’t help but hesitate with the bottle in her hand.

"If you do it cleverly, no one will know. Don’t worry, I’ll cover for you later."

Logan gestured for Maxwell not to be afraid, and with a big swipe, opened the car door on her side, signaling her to get out: "No time to think it over, Vincent will be back soon. While that fool Adam is taking care of May, hurry and get it done."

"I, I..." Just as Maxwell was about to hesitate, her stomach suddenly twinged again, as if warning her, forcing her out of the car.

"Fine, I’ll go, just don’t let that thing harm my baby." Thinking of the child in her stomach, Maxwell couldn’t help but begin to cry in frustration. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Logan glanced at her coldly, deliberately tempting her, "Relax, once you’ve dealt with May, I’ll take the worm back, and we won’t trouble each other anymore. How’s that?"

"Alright, I’ll go!" Knowing she had no way out, Maxwell gritted her teeth, firmly grasped the bottle of liquid, and turned back to the hospital.

In fact, she had long wanted May Morgan dead, but never had the chance. This time, it was Logan who wanted to kill her, and she was forced. In the future, when talking to her brother, she would have a justification, wouldn’t she?
