Chapter 370: Chapter 370: Taking Back the Vance Clan

May gripped her phone tightly, her brows furrowed. This isn’t right, this definitely isn’t right. Monica was just speaking so confidently to her, how could she deny everything the next minute?

The voice on the phone sounded a bit strange too. Was someone threatening her?

Victor Grant?

May suddenly looked up and saw Victor Grant walking in slowly. She threw her phone at him and yelled angrily, "Victor Grant, did you threaten Monica Lambert?"

Victor shrugged nonchalantly and retorted, "What are you talking about? I can’t even understand a word you’re saying. May, with the wedding around the corner, I don’t want to fight with you, but please don’t cause trouble for me unnecessarily. I have no interest in that Monica Lambert. If I had to find someone, it would be a woman experienced with a voluptuous figure, not someone who looks like a tomboy to vent my feelings."

"Stop dodging the issue, Victor Grant. What were you doing a moment ago? Did you intercept Monica Lambert on the way? Did you threaten her with something? Victor Grant, I’m warning you, Monica holds a special place in my heart. If you dare to touch her or her family, you’re done with me!"

Upon hearing this, Victor sneered coldly, "Done with me? How do you want to play this out? I’ll play along with you, May. I’ve been tolerating you, giving in to you, but that doesn’t mean I have no temper. I’ve said it before, marry me honestly, and there’s no problem. But if you keep raising hell and dragging others into this, I don’t mind playing a little game with you!"

"Bastard, you really did threaten Monica Lambert!"

Victor’s words were enough to indirectly admit threatening Monica Lambert. May was furious and suddenly shoved Victor, "You threatened her, which means you admit you were behind what happened to Vincent, right? Victor Grant, how could you do this to me? We’re done!"

Victor’s brow tightened. He suddenly grabbed May’s hand and threw her onto the sofa beside them. "I didn’t hire anyone to deal with Vincent. He got someone to set me up. May, don’t believe everything you hear. If you’re so suspicious, find the evidence!"

Evidence? The evidence had been destroyed by Victor Grant, so where was she supposed to find evidence?

May stood up from the sofa, pointing at Victor’s face and shouted, ’Don’t think you can destroy all the evidence and leave me helpless. Victor Grant, I warned you, don’t touch Vincent. If you do, we’re finished. It’s your own doing!’

Victor sneered arrogantly and pushed May back onto the sofa, looking down at her. "Finished? You think it’s over just because you say so? May, don’t underestimate me. I just don’t want to stoop to your level. If you’re so eager to leave me for Vincent, then I’ll make sure you become his widow!"

After throwing those harsh words, Victor turned and locked the door as he left.

Listening to the sounds of things being smashed inside, Victor leaned against the wall and exhaled in frustration.

He shouldn’t have let Vincent wake up. He should have foreseen that once that guy awakened, he’d stop at nothing to get his woman back. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Vincent, if you’re so determined to go against me, then I’m not going to stand on ceremony. I’ve said it before, for May’s sake, only one of us can live in this world!

Early in the morning, Jacob Jennings arrived at the hospital. Seeing Vincent already seated in a wheelchair, he asked worriedly, "Young Master, is it really necessary to hold the shareholders’ meeting today?"

Vincent glanced at him and motioned for him to wheel him out of the hospital. "Yes, in three days, it’s May and Victor Grant’s wedding. I can’t wait that long. I need to organize the Vance Clan first."

Jacob silently wheeled Vincent out of the hospital, advising him with a heavy heart, "The Vance Clan must be organized, but regarding May, I still suggest you reconsider. Actually, from what I can see, Victor has been quite good to her. If she marries him..."

"Jacob, I’ve heard enough of that. Please don’t say it again in the future."

Before Jacob could finish speaking, Vincent firmly gestured for him to stop.

It was because he knew Victor had genuine feelings for May that he was worried, even afraid, that once they married, he might never have the chance to win back the woman he loved.

Everything he was doing now was for May, to be with her. Call it obsession or madness, but he was determined that she was the only one for him.

Having followed Vincent for so many years, Jacob naturally understood his temperament. In fact, this was his last attempt to persuade Vincent. Since he was so determined, as his subordinate, he would accompany him in his unwavering determination.

"Is everything ready at the company?" Once they were in the car, Vincent asked Jacob seriously.

Jacob nodded cautiously, "Everything’s set. Mr. Landry’s capabilities might not be sufficient to suppress that woman’s spiritual power, but dealing with Logan Vance shouldn’t be a problem."

Logan was a bit peculiar, but after several showdowns, Jacob felt he was merely putting on airs. The real capable one was the woman in the black cloak. As long as she was under control, everything would be manageable.

This Mr. Landry was also something of a prodigy, not lacking in prowess. Although dealing with that woman might be slightly challenging, he was the only available and useful ally they had found so far.

Today’s meeting was bound to see Logan attending. After all his struggles, he would not easily allow Vincent to secure the president position of the Vance Clan again, so Vincent had to be fully prepared for the meeting.

After a safe journey, Jacob helped Vincent out of the car and into the wheelchair. As they moved inside, all the company employees who saw Vincent had curious glimmers in their eyes.

Previously, Logan had joined forces with some shareholders, spreading rumors that Vincent might become a vegetable for life, incapable of running the Vance Clan. The company was unstable, and everyone assumed Logan was destined to be the future president.

But seeing Vincent appear out of nowhere today left many baffled.

It seemed today’s shareholders’ meeting would be a tough battle.

The other company shareholders arrived before Vincent. As Jacob wheeled him in, he looked around and saw nearly all the shareholders, except for Logan.

He moved his lips slightly and deliberately instructed the secretary, "Start the meeting."
