Yandere Levelling in Her World-Chapter 192 - 193: No Rest for City
Anna leaned closer on the narrow bed in their cramped upstairs room. The single bulb overhead flickered weakly. Her fingers trailed lightly along Ren's forearm, slow and teasing. She looked up at him through her lashes, cheeks flushed.
"Ren," she murmured, voice thick with want. "I can't hold back anymore. My whole body is aching for you right now."
Ren's breath caught. He felt the heat radiating from her skin. His hand slid to her hip, fingers pressing gently. "Anna... you're killing me here. Keep touching me like that and I won't be able to stop. Do you want me to fuck you like that day again we are still recovering."
She gave a soft laugh, low and breathy. Her palm flattened against his chest, then drifted higher until her fingertips brushed the side of his neck. "Who said I want you to stop? Kiss me already and fuck me dead already."
Ren leaned in. Their faces were inches apart. He could taste her breath, sweet and warm. His lips parted, ready to close the distance.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion erupted from the floor below. The entire building jolted. Plaster cracked overhead. Dust rained down in thick clouds.
Anna reacted first. She shoved Ren flat and threw her body over his, shielding him completely. "Down! Stay down!"
Another blast followed seconds later, closer this time. Their room's outer wall buckled. A section of cement burst inward. Chunks of debris flew across the space, smashing into the bed frame and table. Smoke stung their eyes.
Ren coughed hard. "Anna! You okay?"
She stayed on top of him, arms tight. "I'm fine. Don't move yet."
The shaking eased. They waited, breathing shallow. After a few seconds, Anna eased off him. They both sat up slowly. Gray dust coated their hair and clothes. Small cuts marked their arms from flying bits of plaster.
Ren wiped his face with his sleeve. "Fuck. What the hell is going on?"
Before Anna could speak, heavy banging started at the door. The sturdy lock rattled. Someone slammed against the wood over and over.
CRASH!
The door shattered inward. Splinters sprayed across the floor. Three women stormed in. They wore dark gear, faces half-covered by masks. One gripped a metal pipe, another held a knife, the third carried a pistol at her side.
Anna scrambled to her feet. "Who sent you?"
The nearest woman lunged. She swung a fast fist and connected hard with Anna's jaw. Anna staggered back and dropped to one knee.
"Shut your mouth," the woman growled.
The other two fanned out. They scanned the room quickly, eyes darting over the wreckage, under the bed, behind the wardrobe.
One spotted Ren. "Who's the guy? Not in the briefing."
The middle woman, clearly the leader, narrowed her eyes. "Doesn't matter. We take both. Move fast."
Anna pushed up again, wiping blood from her split lip as she was about use her power on one of the women. "You picked the wrong room."
The woman who hit her stepped forward. She punched Anna once more, this time in the cheek. Blood sprayed from Anna's mouth and nose. Anna crumpled, dazed.
The leader barked, "Hurry! Cops will swarm soon. We burn the place on exit."
One woman approached Ren. She grabbed his wrist and yanked. "Up, now."
Ren stayed seated. She pulled harder. His body did not shift an inch.
The woman frowned. "What the... this guy weighs a ton."
The other two smirked.
"Can't handle one man?" the pipe woman mocked.
"Shut it," the one gripping Ren snapped. She braced her feet and tugged with both hands. Still nothing.
Anna struggled to rise. She glared at her attacker. "Touch him again and you die."
The woman laughed. She kicked Anna in the ribs. Anna gasped and fell back.
Then the woman grabbed Anna by the hair. She jerked her head up and studied her face closely. Seconds passed. Recognition flashed in her eyes.
"Hold on," she said. "This face... those eyes. Holy shit. This is Lady Victoria's missing daughter. The bitch who ran away."
The leader spun around. "You sure?"
"Positive. Look at the eyes and face, that faint scar. It's her. Victoria will pay triple, maybe quadruple, for this one. Way more than our contract fee."
The leader's lips curled into a grin. "Change of plans. Secure both. We leave now. Torch everything behind us."
The woman holding Ren tightened her grip. "Let's go, handsome."
Ren finally moved. He rose smoothly to his full height. His expression had turned ice cold.
Golden threads materialized from nowhere. Thin, shimmering strands spread through the air like deadly webs. They glowed faintly in the smoky room.
One thread shot forward without warning. It punched clean through the chest of the woman gripping Ren. A perfect hole appeared. Blood gushed out. She made a choked sound, eyes bulging. Her hand fell limp. She collapsed face-first, dead before she hit the ground.
Silence gripped the room.
Ren stood tall. Dust drifted off his shoulders. His voice came out quiet but lethal. "I love that woman. You shouldn't have shown me her blood."
The remaining two froze.
"What kind of freak..." the pipe woman whispered.
The leader raised her pistol with shaking hands. "Take him down!"
Ren did not blink. More threads lashed out. One coiled around the leader's wrist and snapped it sideways. The gun clattered away. She screamed.
Another thread whipped toward the pipe woman. She swung wildly. The thread dodged and stabbed into her thigh. She dropped, clutching the wound.
Anna forced herself upright. Blood streaked her face and shirt. She stared at Ren in shock. "Your power... you never told me it was like this."
Ren kept his eyes on the enemies. "Later. Right now we survive."
The leader crawled backward. "You're not a man. What are you?"
Ren stepped closer. Golden threads hovered around him like angry hornets. "Someone you wish you never met."

Downstairs the chaos erupted like a storm that refused to end. The old boarding house shook with every clash of power. Liberators in their mismatched gear fought against the masked women who had stormed the building earlier.
Blue flames licked across the lobby walls as one Liberator hurled fireballs. A woman with crackling electricity in her palms countered, sending arcs that shattered furniture into splinters.
"Push them back!" a tall Liberator shouted over the roar.
Another woman laughed coldly. "You idiots think your little government will save you? Judith is the reason for your death."
Powers collided in bursts of light and sound. Ice spears flew. Telekinetic waves shoved bodies against walls. Someone screamed as a blast of wind lifted them off their feet and slammed them through a window.
In the middle of it all, Silver moved like a shadow. She kept low, blonde hair tucked under a dark hood. Her eyes scanned every corner while she slipped past overturned tables and broken chairs. The fight raged around her but she ignored it. Her only thought was Ren. She had to reach him. Make sure he was safe.
A masked woman spotted her. "Hey! Stop right there!"
Silver ducked behind a pillar. The woman charged, hands glowing with green venom that dripped and sizzled on the floorboards.
Silver rolled to the side. She darted toward the stairs. Another attacker blocked her path, this one wielding chains that whipped through the air like living snakes. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"Going somewhere?" the chain woman sneered.
Silver gritted her teeth. She feinted left then spun right. One chain grazed her sleeve but she kept moving. Footsteps pounded behind her. She reached the stairwell and took the steps two at a time ignoring the two attackers.
Halfway up she heard the hiss.
A small canister bounced across the landing and rolled to her feet. Before she could react it popped open with a sharp crack. Thick gray smoke exploded outward and swallowed her whole.
Silver coughed hard. She waved her hands in front of her face. "What the hell?"
The smoke clung to her skin like oil. She tried to push through it but her lungs burned. Her head suddenly felt heavy, as if someone had poured lead into her skull.
"This isn't normal smoke," she muttered. Her voice sounded distant even to her own ears.
She staggered forward. The world tilted. Colors bled together. Her knees buckled.
"No. Not now."
She forced herself toward the door at the top of the stairs. Her hand slapped against the frame. She dragged her body forward, boots scraping wood. Every step felt like wading through deep water.
The smoke followed her. It seeped into her clothes, her hair, her thoughts. Her vision narrowed to a tunnel.
She burst through the doorway and stumbled into the narrow hallway. The fight downstairs still echoed but it sounded miles away. She lurched toward the room where Ren and Anna had been.
Her foot caught on debris. She fell hard. Pain shot through her palms but she barely felt it. She crawled instead. Fingers dug into the floorboards. She pulled herself inch by inch toward the broken door.
Fresh air hit her face when she reached the open window. The fire escape waited outside. She hauled herself over the sill and dropped into the alley below.
The impact jarred her bones. She landed on her side and rolled once. Cold concrete pressed against her cheek. She tried to push up but her arms refused to obey.
"What... happened to me?" she whispered. Her words slurred.
The alley spun. Shadows stretched and twisted. She dragged herself forward on her elbows. Gravel bit into her skin. Every breath came slower than the last.
Footsteps approached.
Slow. Deliberate.
Silver forced her head up. Through the haze she saw a figure walking toward her. Slim build. Short black hair cut sharp at the jaw. Leather jacket. A familiar face that made her stomach drop.
The woman stopped a few feet away. She crouched down slowly. A small smile played on her lips.
"Hello, sister," she said softly. "It's been so long since our last meeting."
Silver's eyes widened. Recognition punched through the fog in her mind.
"Drain..." she breathed.
The word came out weak. Her eyelids fluttered.
Drain reached out and brushed a strand of blonde hair from Silver's face. The touch was gentle, almost tender.
"You always were stubborn," Drain murmured. "Running off like that. Thinking you could disappear. But family finds family, doesn't it? Isn't that what mother told us always."
