Chapter 232: Chapter 198: Two Experiments Succeed, Francis Breaks Through to 6th Level

...

Wizard Calendar Year 728, March 7th.

Top floor of Lor Wizard Tower, within the laboratory.

"The one million five hundred seventy thousandth experiment." Lor placed a U-shaped rune structure into the small energy furnace wall covered with Cyan Sky Juice.

This time, the furnace wall showed no reaction, appearing identical to when it wasn’t covered by the rune.

"Another failure... huh?!"

Lor was about to construct another rune combination when he noticed the barely perceptible expansion on the furnace wall. He immediately stopped his actions and broke into a smile, "Fifty-eight years, and it’s finally done."

The successful construction of the Space Expansion rune combination not only signifies the completion of the space expansion experiment but also represents that the space ring project is more than halfway complete.

Making a space ring requires two materials: Cyan Sky Juice and subspace iron element mixture.

Thereafter, using the spatial extension combined with the space expansion base rune combination, a new space is built within the subspace iron element.

Now, Lor only needs to consider how to combine the spatial extension and space expansion rune structures.

Once achieved, as long as a Second Ring Spatial Mage constructs a rune model and integrates the spatial extension rune, they can create a Space Ring.

"In at most twenty more years, I should be able to create the Space Ring," Lor mused, "But before that, I should tell Speaker Francis the good news."

He took out the Continent Communication Device, found Francis’s communication number, and initiated a call.

One minute...

Three minutes...

"Still in training?" Five minutes later, seeing no answer, Lor closed the communication invite and instead sent Francis a message, then began to study the production of Space Rings.

...

At the same time, Milton Continent, top floor of the Francis Wizard Tower.

"The intersection of life begins with me, and should also end with me." Francis gazed at the humanoid form inside his Sea of Consciousness, covered with the Origin Container, finally understanding something.

Without any hesitation, his spiritual power flowed into the domain, merging completely with it.

Outside the Origin Container, the blurry figure suddenly contracted, ultimately merging with the Origin Container.

From this point, the domain and the Origin Container became fully established.

An endless stream of fresh life elements emanated from the Origin Container, transcending the Sea of Consciousness and spreading through his body, continuously transforming it.

A small portion of fresh life elements gradually drifted outside the wizard tower, enveloping all of Francis City like a suddenly arisen fog, and continued to spread outward.

...

"What’s this?" On the streets of Francis City, regardless of whether they were Wizard Apprentices or First to Third Ring Wizards, all looked blankly at the sudden green mist.

They attempted various forms of witchcraft to prevent the mist from approaching, but to no avail.

The mist penetrated the defense shields they raised as silently as spring rain, merging into their bodies despite their terrified gazes.

"Hey, it seems my physique is getting stronger?!" A First Ring Female Wizard with golden hair exclaimed in surprise.

"So am I."

"Same here!"

"What exactly is this mist? Could it be some benefit distributed at a banquet by a Legislator or Speaker? But why wasn’t there a notification?"

"What a grand gesture."

"Make way, don’t block me from filling ’Fog of Life’."

Each wizard reacted differently, some curious, some puzzled, while others began to try and collect the mist named ’Fog of Life’ on the spot using special containers.

However, they eventually found it was in vain, as just like the defense shields couldn’t fend off the mist, no container could hold it.

It was simply inexplicable.

Humans and animals that came into contact with the green mist showed enhanced physiques, but plants reacted differently; the moment they touched the mist, they immediately began to grow wildly.

"Swish—crack—boom—"

The strange plants planted throughout Francis City grew wildly, some bursting through houses, others piercing barriers, and some even filled the streets, leaving the city in complete chaos.

Unfortunately, most of the barriers set in Francis City were designed to guard against outside threats, not internal ones.

Notably, Lor’s manor in Francis City was no exception.

The seven castles within Lunde Manor were entirely skewed by the burgeoning plants, with various rare ornaments hung atop the barrier-piercing branches.

Only the Wizard Towers were spared, after all, they were at least the creations of Four Ring Wizards, thus not so vulnerable.

The surroundings outside the city were even more astonishing, with trees standing over ten miles tall around and still growing.

In the skies above Francis City, two Five Ring Speakers, seven Four Ring Legislators, and one Five Ring Legislator gathered together, not minding the endless green mist emanating from the top floor of the Francis Wizard Tower, focusing their gaze on Amy.

"Did Speaker Francis break through?" Peyton, the Five Ring Earth Element Speaker, was the first to ask.

"I’m not entirely sure." Amy shook her head, but her face broke into a bright smile.

She had long known that Speaker Francis had been stuck at a bottleneck, struggling to find the fusion point with the next domain and the Origin Container.

She had been anxious and worried for a long time because of it.

But it now seemed that Speaker Francis wasn’t stuck because he couldn’t find the fusion point, but rather because he had found it, and it was only the final breakthrough that held him back.

The other legislators and speakers immediately understood upon seeing Amy’s expression.

"Remarkable, to be the first to achieve the Sixth Ring." Peyton remarked with admiration.

"Speaker Francis is indeed remarkable, and didn’t keep anything to himself, sharing the breakthrough secret to the Sixth Ring as soon as it was discovered." Ugo, the Five Ring Wood Element Speaker, nodded in agreement.

Hearing the praise from the two speakers, Amy’s smile grew even sweeter.

The other legislators were about to follow up with compliments when a special Five Ring Legislator interrupted.

"Those words, why do they sound a bit off?" Cody glanced at Ugo, teasing, "Are you implying someone was being secretive? Who? Speaker Lor?"

"Nonsense!" Ugo, enraged, gritted his teeth, "Cody, if you keep saying nonsense, believe it or not..." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

"Oh, do you want to duel in the Divine Realm Space?" Cody interrupted Ugo with an unchanged smile.

He had no choice but to play humble in front of Francis, as he couldn’t win against him, and simply taking a beating was no fun.

But he was confident enough to challenge Wood Element Five Ring Faith Wizard Ugo.

"You..." Ugo pointed at Cody, unable to finish his sentence.

Although Cody only held a legislator position due to some special reasons, no one actually viewed him as just a legislator.

Considering the contributions Cody made during the Battle of the Abyss, becoming a speaker should have been a given.

Yet, due to opposition from some legislators and other factors, the decision was postponed until the Wizard Calendar reached a thousand years for him to formally become a speaker.

At least, that was the intention of many speakers in the past.

As for now...

"Cody, I have something important to tell you; the Faith Wizard has a possible path to follow." Peyton intervened to mediate, "That’s all I can share, for more concrete details, you’d need to ask Speaker Francis or Speaker Lor."

The matter of Lor predicting the future was not disclosed by the Wizard Alliance, as it could easily cause panic.

Naturally, Cody was unaware of this matter.

Peyton thought it necessary to reveal this to Cody, to keep him in line.

"Actually... I already know about it, Speaker Francis told me, and I’ve sensed a slight enhancement of the Power of Faith over the years, mostly during the arrival of players." Cody’s smile faded, regrettably stating, "Through some research, I have a vague enlightenment about the future path of the Faith Wizard."

"Those folks made conclusions too soon."

"Now that you know the path, why are you still acting this way?" Peyton’s brows furrowed, "You weren’t always like this."

"This... seems like it can’t be undone."

Cody smacked his lips; he too wanted to change, but for some reason, at certain moments, words just slipped out uncontrollably, creating awkwardness.
