Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds-Chapter 614 - 31: Kill Again
Isaiah regained consciousness from the coma, feeling soreness all over her body, and instinctively opened her mouth to call for help.
"Mmm... mmm..."
It was only then she realized that her hands and feet were all bound by enchanted ropes that restricted witchcraft.
Her mouth and eyes were also covered by black cloth.
Who?
Who did this?
Isaiah struggled desperately, barely allowing her eyes to see a sliver of light, and three figures appeared in her vision.
It’s them!
Before losing consciousness, Abyssal Demons had launched a massive invasion of the base, and under the Wizard’s command, Isaiah reached the frontline.
While fighting with the Abyssal Demons, she felt a pain at the back of her head and then blacked out.
The pain at the back of her head persisted, indicating that not much time had passed.
This was a donkey cart enchanted with witchcraft, and she lay on the board, her body swaying with the cart’s movement.
"Awake."
Claude, riding a horse, spoke coldly:
"Don’t bother struggling or hoping for rescue; we’re near the Abyss Rift now, and reinforcements are out of reach."
"Claude!" Isaiah gritted her teeth and growled, her voice escaping through the cloth covering her mouth:
"Aren’t you afraid of Wizard Lynn’s revenge?"
"Afraid!" Claude grinned:
"Of course, I’m afraid."
"But I also have a tutor, and whether Lynn can survive the demon invasion is another matter."
With that, he pointed to two companions beside him:
"Do you recognize these two?"
Isaiah turned her head, peering through the gap at the unfamiliar faces of a man and a woman, and shook her head.
"Recently, Wizard Lynn helped a brother and sister reclaim their points."
Claude continued:
"It’s them."
Isaiah’s eyes widened.
She had heard of it; the siblings wanted to seek allegiance with Lynn after the incident but were refused, and then pursued by people under Charles.
When the news came, Lynn was unmoved.
Thankfully!
By the looks of it, the siblings had long been bought off by Charles, and if Lynn had gone to their rescue, he would have surely fallen into a trap.
"Bah!"
Isaiah tore through the cloth with disdain in her voice.
"See the path clearly to walk further," Claude advised:
"If they hadn’t sought my tutor, they’d have died long ago—how else could they have survived until now?"
"The same goes for you!"
He pointed and continued:
"Wizard Lynn is still young. Since he is willing to put effort into finding Susan, he will surely rescue you. As long as you cooperate with us, when we handle Lynn, you’ll be credited, and instead of killing you, rewards await."
"Bah!"
Isaiah retorted angrily:
"I will never betray Lynn!"
"Heh..." Claude shook his head:
"That’s not certain; you should know a wizard’s methods—when the time comes, it won’t be your choice."
Isaiah’s face turned pale.
"We’ve arrived!"
Claude pulled the reins, leaping off the horse and ordering the siblings to pull the cart into a valley.
The further they walked, the higher the temperature rose.
The hard rocks turned into swirling yellow sand, and they trudged onward with difficulty until they reached a cave entrance.
"Senior!"
Claude stopped, shouting into the depths of the cave:
"We’ve brought the person!"
"Whoosh..."
A gust of gale burst out from the cave, not cooling, but impressively hot.
The high temperature made their hair curl as the robes they wore activated Defensive Magic on their own, forcing them to lift their hands to shield their faces.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
The ground trembled.
A ball of fire emerged from the darkness, revealing a lion the size of an elephant as it drew nearer.
The Giant Lion was wrapped in a Fiery Flame, with eyes like copper bells, its breathes carrying sparks, as its gaze scanned over them, with an Official Wizard’s spiritual power pressing down like waves.
"Senior Cesar."
Claude’s throat rolled, forcibly suppressing his fear, he lowered his head respectfully:
"I’ve brought the person for you, just spread the word, and it will surely bring Lynn here."
"Whoosh..." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Crack!"
Just as he finished speaking, a hot wind swept over, and his neck suddenly ached, losing consciousness completely.
"Ah!"
A scream echoed.
It was the Giant Lion that had pounced, biting off Claude’s head in one move.
Isaiah turned pale with fright, her body tense, while the siblings beside her screamed out loud.
"Shuh!"
The Giant Lion clearly wasn’t finished, pouncing again, pinning the siblings down and tearing them apart in one bite.
In the blink of an eye,
The low noise increased by three mangled, incomplete corpses.
"Cesar!"
At this moment, an angry roar echoed from behind, followed by a sudden gale rising within the valley:
"What are you doing?"
The gale fell, revealing Charles’s figure, who glared angrily at the Giant Lion, eyes full of confusion.
The Giant Lion ignored him, its huge form nimbly leaping, like a lynx, silently landing beside Isaiah.
In Isaiah’s terrified eyes, the Giant Lion lightly waved its paw, and the restraints on her body immediately snapped.
Huh?
Isaiah paused, then saw the Giant Lion shrink, transforming into a familiar figure.
"Lynn!"
Charles was equally surprised:
"Why is it you?"
"And me!" At the valley’s entrance, an unremarkable stone lightly swayed, forming Maki’s figure.
She stared at Charles, her voice icy:
"Charles, you colluded with the Abyss Cottage’s Black Wizards, trying to frame fellow academy members."
"According to the rules..."
"Boom!"
Before she could finish, fiery flame surged in the scene, and two figures clashed in a magical duel.
"Sigh..."
Maki was speechless:
"Let me finish talking!"
But after spending this time together, she somewhat understood Lynn’s character—he wasn’t one to waste words.
On the contrary,
Once action was taken, it was swift and merciless, not at all like a youth of sixteen or seventeen.
Instead, he was like a seasoned Knight!
"Bang!"
Gale and Fiery Flame collided in mid-air, both retreating; Charles looked at Lynn in surprise:
"First Ring Middle Stage, how is that possible?"
"Thanks to you." Lynn wielded his Magic Wand, the flames behind him spreading like a vast curtain, even covering half the valley, showing a might not at all like a newly advanced Official Wizard.
"The Great Flame Witch Vein, when devouring the bloodline of fellow cultivators, not only boosts the bloodline but also advances cultivation."
"With the selfless help of Wizards Jito and Cesar, I was lucky enough to achieve First Ring Middle Stage cultivation."
Truly a selfless help.
The two Wizards, over a hundred years old, had nearly given everything to Lynn; not advancing would have been strange.
"Shuh!"
A Fire Scale Flood Dragon over twenty meters long, with a pair of horns atop its head, appeared on the scene.
"Hiss hiss..."
Accompanied by the tongue spat of the Fire Scale Flood Dragon, the temperature soared, and the flames above nearly covered the entire valley.
"Stop!"
Charles’s face changed drastically:
"I’m an Official Wizard of the academy; even if I’ve done wrong, the academy should adjudicate my punishment. Your vigilantism won’t be tolerated by the academy!"
"Heh..." Lynn flicked his serpentine tail, lightly shaking his head:
"You think I care?"
"Shuh!"
Before his words fell, his enormous snake body had already pounced.
The Second Tier Fire Scale Flood Dragon, even barely Second Tier, couldn’t be sustained for long with his current cultivation.
No time to delay.
Behind, Maki, preventing Charles from escaping, saw this and lightly shook her head, somewhat helplessly rubbing her forehead.
"Lynn..."
"So audacious!"
Even so, her eyes brightened, her hair floating as countless Petrification Skills shot towards Charles.
Finish the kill first and talk later!
