Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds-Chapter 551 - 6: The Association
Night.
Carl took advantage of the darkness to arrive at a uniquely styled courtyard.
A bonfire burned within the courtyard, adding a touch of warmth to the cold winter, as several figures whispered around it.
The faint fluctuation of spiritual power caused the elemental particles in the air to tremble, which also revealed their identity.
Wizard apprentices!
"Everyone!"
Unlike her refreshing daytime appearance, Yura was heavily made-up at night, exuding endless charm; she clapped her hands to introduce Carl, who had changed his appearance:
"This is Mr. Tai Chi from the Sake Kingdom, an official wizard, and now the vice-president of our association."
To avoid trouble, Carl had no intention of interacting with people from the Royal City Wizard Association in his true form.
Carl, Conni...
These names were likely already being watched by the Four Major Forces.
Although he wouldn’t be in danger, he needed to be cautious about utilizing others to enter the Calim Continent.
After all, the Four Major Forces probably wouldn’t accept wizard apprentices associated with him.
He decided to adopt a different name, finally settling on "Tai Chi," at least there would be no duplicates.
"An official Wizard?"
"Vice-President!"
"Tai Chi? What a strange name..."
The crowd whispered, casting glances of surprise, awe, and mostly vigilance toward him.
As wizard apprentices, they weren’t well-favored here, doing many things that couldn’t see the light of day, naturally feeling wary of Carl’s sudden appearance.
"The recent weather changes quickly, rumored that the Ice and Snow Goddess joined the battlefield, seems likely."
Carl waved his hand:
"Let me add some fire."
"Whoosh!"
As he waved his hand, the bonfire in the center suddenly grew larger, the flames spread like living creatures toward the surroundings.
In an instant.
Several fireballs appeared, burning out of thin air.
There were no charcoal or wood, just quietly suspended burning in midair.
Strangely, even though a few large fireballs were added, the light within the field remained unchanged.
Only the temperature rose slightly, adding a bit to the atmosphere, making it more suitable for activities.
"Fire Control Technique?"
Someone whispered, their voice full of surprise.
The Fire Control Technique is the most basic zero-ring magic, even a trick, yet performing it so casually is not something wizard apprentices can do.
One even touched a fireball and found that even when touching the flames, it wouldn’t burn.
"A Natural School official Wizard!"
"Besides the president, we now have another official wizard to preside over, which is good for us."
"Yes, yes!"
"..."
The crowd nodded repeatedly, and some stepped forward to introduce themselves.
"Esteemed Tai Chi Wizard, I am Moli, an intermediate wizard apprentice, and also the youngest son of the Dominic family."
"I am Bernard, a baron from the Loli family, just promoted to basic wizard apprentice."
"..."
Carl nodded slowly.
The crowd mostly consisted of basic and intermediate wizard apprentices, with hardly any advanced wizard apprentices present.
Besides being wizard apprentices, they were aristocrats, merchants, scholars, with quite prominent identities and status.
That was normal.
To master witchcraft, one needs more than wizard talent; wealth is also indispensable.
Magic materials, magic models, knowledge...
All require money to obtain.
Fortunately, once you enter the field, it’s easy to gain wealth and social status with wizard apprentices’ methods.
"This is Garden," Yura introduced someone with additional emphasis, her voice even carrying a hint of envy:
"His wizard talent is excellent, he has passed the Black Swamp verification and will go to the Calim Continent in a few years."
"He’ll definitely become an official wizard, possibly even a Great Wizard someday."
"Tai Chi Wizard," said Garden, a young man of about fifteen or sixteen, a bit shy when facing Carl:
"Pleasure to meet you."
"Not bad." Carl nodded:
"In this Wizard Desert, becoming an intermediate wizard apprentice at such a young age is promising indeed."
"Heh..."
"I once had two friends go to the Calim Continent; if possible, I hope you can pass them a few words."
He handed over a magic wand:
"This magic wand was something I acquired in my youth, consider it a reward."
"This..." Garden was stunned:
"It’s just passing on some words, Wizard, there’s no need to be so courteous. Besides, I might need help from your two friends once I’m over there..."
"Thank you!"
Seeing Carl’s serious attitude, he could only nod and thank.
After receiving the magic wand, he tested waving it slightly and immediately looked ecstatic.
Advanced Magic Item!
"I wonder who your two friends are?"
"There’s no rush for that," Carl waved:
"We’ll talk later."
His friends needed to remain secret, and getting messages quietly to the Calim Continent was not easy.
Who knows...
If the tricks within the magic wand would be discovered by people over there?

’On the surface, I am Count Conni, the inheritor of Count Karl’s estate, a devout believer who frequently visits the church to discuss scriptures with Bishop Louis, along the way, scooping up some local specialties from the Divine Domain.’
’In secret, I am the vice-president of the Wizard Association, gathering information on wizard apprentices in the Royal City via association members, while also inquiring about situations in the Black Swamp to see if I can send anything to the Calim Continent.’
Carl opened his eyes, appearing inside the secluded chamber of the Otherworldly Holy Hall, his gaze lively:
"The Secret Cultivation Association’s inheritance contains the Third Ring Witchcraft Flame Gate, Fourth Ring Witchcraft Void Path Secret Great Witchcraft, and the inheritance given by Mei Weiya also has Void Shifting, Dimension Exchange methods, plus the Divine Domain Fragment traits..."
"If someone inscribes my ’Divine Coordinates’ on the Calim Continent, there could be an opportunity to transmit directly over."
"Regrettably..."
"The Star Gate opens only once every ten years, even if someone takes something over, it’s uncertain when somebody might be curious enough to try. For now, I can’t achieve spatial traversal, it’s not immediate."
Setting aside distractions, he opened the door and walked out.
Someone was distributing food in the corridor outside the quiet chamber, and upon seeing him emerge, they first looked surprised, then joyful.
"Have you successfully broken through?"
"Yes."
Carl nodded:
"Can I see the Second Elder now?"
"Please wait a moment." The person hastily ran outside with apparent dread of Carl, saying while running:
"I’ll notify the priest!"
"So afraid of me?" Carl rubbed his chin, wearing a light smile:
"Looks like some people couldn’t control the power of blasphemy within them after breaking through, turning mad."
The Desecration Potion allows a Great Knight to advance to Legendary, with their power rapidly increasing thereafter.
But if they lose control, they become nothing more than a killing monster.
"Conni!"
Before long, a sturdy man came over:
"Come with me."
Legendary!
Unlike those advancing through the Desecration Potion, the aura of the man was pure and advanced through normal means. His strength was already in the Late Stage of Legend.
’It seems there is a clear hierarchy within the Holy Hall, where those who advanced with the Desecration Potion are regarded as lower-class.’
"Heh..."
With a light smile, Carl stepped up to follow.
