Witch, Fireball and the Evil God of Steam-Chapter 841 - 160: Pizza Delivery, Part 3
Elizabeth said, "But please don't worry, I know some people who specialize in interrogation and memory exploration, I assure you your talent and knowledge will not disappear."
Her gaze glanced towards the forest.
The Forbidden Guards, having received the command, rushed forward.
"She is a remnant of the Violet Commune, capture her alive."
Standing on the steps, she commanded the guards.
However, in the next moment, a bizarre scene occurred; she saw the guards right in front of her stopping their actions, and some inexplicably suspended in mid-air.
The same stagnation engulfed her as well.
Suddenly, a terrifying thought surged within Elizabeth's mind.
This wasn't some immobilization spell, but rather...time had fallen into stasis.
She saw the branches swaying in the breeze cease to move, leaves no longer floating down, and even the clouds at the edge of her vision were motionless.
"Then, let me show you the truth." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Lindong spoke, "This is the truth behind what happened to your daughter."
In this frozen world, the only thing not halted was her consciousness, and... her daughter.
Though her daughter, similarly frozen, maintained a genteel smile, her neck bore a horrifying wound, blood sprayed forth, followed by her arms, her thighs; bit by bit the splattering blood stained her entire body.
Elizabeth's eyes widened in terror.
She had only thought the witch had controlled her daughter through some contract, but... but!
How could someone dare harm a member of the Royal Family on their territory!?
Elizabeth attempted to reach out and press against the succession of wounds, which appeared as if they had been viciously torn open by teeth; she could scarcely imagine the agony her daughter had endured.
"This is the truth you sought."
Lindong said, "Your daughter has been dead for days, next, is about another of your desires."
Elizabeth wanted to scream for help, yet in this world of absolute stasis, every attempt was futile.
She saw the flowing blood converge, churn and wriggle, a hand emerging from the ground, followed by a body, the blood forming into an icy figure's outline, the face growing clearer.
It was... herself.
"Queen, this is the secret to immortality."
Elizabeth also saw the wounds on her daughter's body vanish at a visible pace, as if she were a delicate doll, being perfectly mended.
The craftsman removed the ferocity between her brows, transforming her into a lovely, flawless doll.
Lindong said, "No matter how many times you are damaged, I can repair you, keeping you in the most perfect state."
Elizabeth watched Lindong approach, the raised hand gently touching her body; in horror, she saw a crack appear, soon spreading all over her.
She witnessed her body shattering and peeling away, ice fragments falling to the ground, transforming into a pool of water.
Thus, this was the last scene she saw.
"Step back, who allowed you to come here!"
As time resumed its flow, a stern voice stopped the guards' actions, "You are mistaken; she has no relation to the Violet Commune, now, get out of the way!"
The guards froze in place, yet none dared to defy the Queen's order.
They could only watch helplessly as Lindong, accompanied by the Queen, laughing and chatting, walked out of the annex, taking the path leading to her residence.
