Witch, Fireball and the Evil God of Steam-Chapter 779 - 130: The Drawbacks of Hypnotism (Part 2)
In pursuit of a brighter future, Rowena spared no effort in her brainwashing efforts, "Think about your companions, they're facing the threat of the Demon King's followers, only you can save them."
...
Three days flew by, during which Ethan also actively prepared for his trip to the Silver Radiance Empire.
And when he saw Solan again, the young hero had undergone tremendous changes.
He was still wearing his hospital gown, his eyes unfocused, pupils emitting a dim purple glow, even showing symptoms of spiral eyes.
Thankfully, this was a hot-blooded, energetic young man, otherwise, if it were a girl of the same age, it would immediately provoke bad associations, images of hypnosis themes children couldn't bear would fill the mind.
"Is this the three-day crash course for magicians that you're promoting? Is it even legal?"
Ethan immediately questioned, deeply worried about the safety of the Astrologer's Guild apprentices. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"It's, theoretically legal."
Rowena's unnatural tone and evasive eyes deepened Ethan's concern, yet she stubbornly defended herself, "At least before the hypnosis, I obtained his personal consent, look, I have a consent form here; he signed it before I started."
Regarding after the hypnosis...
Solan had lost his own consciousness, from a mystical point of view, he did not know what had happened in those three days.
To delve deeper, Rowena knew there was indeed a hint of imprisonment.
But she absolutely did not suggest Solan do anything shady; instead, she taught him magic knowledge with high intensity 24 hours a day, and with her personal guidance, Solan now had some achievements in magic.
"This is famous teacher guidance; many people beg me, but I am reluctant."
In the long run, she felt it had no harm for Solan.
Imagine, you were unconscious for three days, lost memory for those three days, but woke up mastering a lot of profound magic knowledge, it's not a loss at all.
"Has the teleportation spell issue been resolved?"
Lindong glanced at Solan, who looked like a puppet on strings, feeling something was off.
She wasn't a magician expert, but this seemed not to be common hypnotism spells.
"Of course!"
Rowena proudly puffed out her chest, donning a form-fitting magical robe and a pointed magic hat, showing her seriousness in the matter, "I'm the best magician in the world!"
Currently, the only recorded Saint in the Astrology Guild.
Guild Leader, the new Mage Tower leader.
After the fake Kadela was taken down, she theoretically stands at the same height as the God of Trickery, only lacking qualifications that need time to build.
"He is ready to cast the spell, I have prepared all the casting materials."
The more Lindong observed, the more she felt Rowena was feeling guilty, she asked, "Aren't you coming with us?"
"No!"
The answer slipped out, "Well, I would love to join you, but the Imperial Capital is currently holding a mystical joint conference, as Guild Leader, I must attend these important meetings."
Something is definitely fishy!
Lindong became more certain of her suspicion.
Given Rowena's love for excitement, if this were usual times, she would absolutely make a fuss to go to the Silver Radiance Empire for excitement — previously when they went to the canopy plane, Rowena slipped into their homes every day as a bat, whispering into Ethan's ear about the superiority of bat monsters.
As for her excuse about attending meetings, it is an easily pierced cover.
If Rowena wished, she could easily mass-produce convincing magic puppets for reciting speeches in public, impossible to be detected.
According to Lindong, many senior magicians use this method to attend meetings they can't attend in person.
"I have another meeting this afternoon, time is of the essence, after sending you off, I must prepare my speech."
"Nana."
Lindong wore a charming smile, her address sending chills down Rowena's spine.
As Lindong's former colleague, she undoubtedly understood Lindong best, when Lindong smiled at someone other than Ethan, it usually meant that person was in big trouble.
"You should know the consequence of deceiving us, right?"
"How could I deceive you?"
"You should know we will return from the Silver Grey Empire back here, right?"
"Of, of course."
"Don't be nervous, I'm just reminding you a bit."
Lindong smiled sweetly, "If you recall anything you need to share with us, you can start talking now."
"... There's nothing more."
This woman is impervious.
But Lindong wasn't in a hurry, there would still be ample time to educate Rowena who played smart after they returned from the Silver Radiance Empire, Lindong was prepared for that.
She listened to Solan intonate the incantation, waiting for the light of the teleportation spell to envelop them.
Perhaps they would arrive in midair due to location issues, or some other bizarre and dangerous location, however unexpectedly, the teleportation spell succeeded extensively, even pinpointed accurately to the city gate.
Gear City.
Lindong recognized this bustling frontier trade metropolis at once, its geographical structure almost identical, with only slight differences in city construction details, another good news was after the spell casting, the last hint of purple glow in Solan's eyes dissipated, his gaze cleared significantly.
He looked down at his own hands, eyes filled with considerable confusion.
Soon, Gear City's patrol team noticed the three uninvited guests at the city gate.
"It's Lord Solan!"
"The hero is still alive!"
"He's back!"
Cheers quickly spread in the city, as the guards ran towards Solan like welcoming a hero, eager to shake Solan's hands to express their excitement and gratitude.
Yet Solan's eyes flashed with a hard-to-detect disgust, he stepped back several times, coolly distancing himself from the guards, holding his sword defensively high in front of him, though the way he held the sword made Lindong feel it more and more unusual, not like a trained warrior's grip, but more like a mage wielding a magic staff.
She suddenly understood everything.
"Keep away, commoners!"
The high and mighty tone, even his way of speaking was completely different from their impression.
After driving away the guards, Solan arrogantly caressed his non-existent golden long ponytail, raising his chin, haughtily ordering, "Move aside quickly!"
Then he turned to Ethan, not only did his expression change, but also his speaking attitude sent chills down Ethan's spine, "Hero brother, you don't need to pay them any mind, I'll handle this here."
However, the guards didn't carry out Solan's command, first exchanging glances amongst themselves, then unanimously raising muskets, aiming at Ethan, the one deemed most heinous, enraged and ready for a mutual destruction scenario, fingers hovering over triggers.
"What the hell have you done to Lord Hero!?"
"Show respect to Hero brother!"
Before Ethan could explain, Solan took the initiative, a few magic missiles shot from his sword in a peculiar manner, hitting the guards' chests heavily, though he didn't intend to kill them, the impact was enough to keep them on the ground, unable to rise.
"Such a bunch of riff-raff."
Solan coldly remarked, "Hero brother needn't bother with them, I will ensure they pay the price."
Ethan faced darkness.
This was far from the visit to Silver Grey Empire he had imagined.
He hadn't yet set foot into Gear City's gate, when an array of guards fell before them.
This manner and style reminded him of someone, perhaps explaining how Solan suddenly mastered the teleportation spell.
Under Rowena's hypnotism, Solan had taken himself for the mage in their party, princess of the Imperial Capital, Ilya.
No worse start could be imagined.
He tentatively looked at Lindong.
Lindong innocently blinked a few times at him, "What should we do, hero brother?"
The affected tone successfully gave Ethan goosebumps once again.
