Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 1292 - 818: Warm-Up Exercise (Part 2)
However, these matters have little to do with the people living in Hepa Town, as their current position is not technically on the front lines anymore.
The local rebel army quickly drove the Holy Light Church's troops far away, and now Hepa Town is in a relatively safe position, without having to worry about the Holy Light Church attacking anytime soon, as a large contingent of rebels is bearing the brunt of the assault for them.
Thanks to this, Hevi and his team stationed there can finally explore the Sain Dungeon without worrying about safety!
"Clap clap clap!"
As Fingerley finished recounting his great battle with the Nameless King, and people egged him on to tell another story, Hevi's timely clapping interrupted the storytelling session.
"Stop playing around, do you remember today's work?"
Like a foreman, he urged them, and the soldiers started their work; they were the backbone responsible for bringing resources out of the Sain Dungeon.
Fingerley also patted the dust off his pants and walked over. "We're finally heading out. I want to see the strength of the Chaos Witch, whom even two heroes couldn't defeat."
"You can go with the Skyrim Strategy Group, and I'll go with my knights," Hevi shook his head. "If we team up, the Chaos Witch's strength might increase unprecedentedly."
After all, the monsters in the Sain Dungeon adapt based on the adventurers' strength and numbers. If he teamed up with Fingerley, the team would have two powerful weapons, and he worried the Sain Dungeon might overreact.
Not long after, Matilda and Aleya came over, and the Skyrim Strategy Group arrived on the scene.
Being old acquaintances, Luluwo didn't greet them particularly; she just nodded and took a small notebook from her pocket, flipping through it as she spoke:
"Although I've already talked about the precautions for tackling the Chaos Witch a few days ago, I think it's best to emphasize them once more before we set off...."
A series of challenge precautions she summarized were spoken, with everyone listening keenly, as if in a classroom.
The Skyrim Strategy Group hasn't been idle these days either; they absorbed all the information left by the Holy Light Church from their explorations of the Sain Dungeon and even entered the dungeon several times to verify it, getting beaten by the Chaos Witch more than five times, eventually compiling this first version of the strategy.
An interesting point is that after repeated verification, the written records left by Anleisi and the others unveiled a fact that even made Luluwo a bit ashamed.
These records didn't contain any tricks, they were thoroughly practical strategies, and the sincerity and dedication of the person who compiled them were evident on paper.
This brought great shame to Luluwo who had left several versions of misleading notes.
And she decided next time to trick the Holy Light Church again.
It's rare to see such an honest church.
"Alright, that's all. Once you get into action, you'll remember."
Luluwo closed the notebook, and people showed serious expressions as they were finally about to enter the Sain Dungeon.
The team challenging the Chaos Witch today was split into two groups.
One group was the Hasavi Team plus the Skyrim Strategy Group, accompanied by two druids from the Wilderness Church. The other group consisted mostly of the Starfire Church members mingled with individuals from various other churches.
The first group seemed stronger, but the second group boasted a more comprehensive response capability.
"Let's go!"
Fingerley excitedly waved his arm and stepped into the Teleportation Gate first, like a big boy full of joy.
Matilda shook her head helplessly and followed closely, with the others right behind her.
"Wa!"
Standing at the Fire Transmission Ceremony, Fingerley let out a cheer.
In fact, he had entered the Sain Dungeon before and even completed the Northern Undead Asylum, or else he couldn't have appeared directly at the Fire Transmission Ceremony.
But once he entered this long-separated dungeon, an uncontrollable excitement surged through him.
This place always brought up many old memories for him, and he felt that life back then seemed even more interesting than now.
"Stop looking around, let's go."
Luluwo patted him on the shoulder and walked to the front, with everyone else following quickly.
As she's practically been in the Sain Dungeon daily, she didn't have any special feelings about this reunion, just wanted to quickly challenge the Chaos Witch again, her face almost expressionless.
This situation can be described as, those who really want to win won't smile.
"No rush, let's warm up first."
Fingerley snapped out of his excitement, drew the dual blades hanging from his waist, and darted out like a flash, leading the team from the front.
Due to his intrinsic strength, no one worried about his safety, letting this golden-haired fellow warm up before a real fight was just fine. The only issue is...
"Wait, we don't need to go that way to reach Sick Village. Come back!"
Matilda's helpless voice didn't reach her captain's ears.
Fingerley cut through the swarm of animated corpses as if slicing through melons and vegetables, swiftly cutting through the Undead Town and dashing towards the strongest presence he sensed.
"Roar!"
On Flying Dragon Bridge, the Red Flying Dragon let out a roar, lowering its ferocious head to spew fiery flames toward the bridge, but before it could, Fingerley, who was just on the other side of the bridge moments ago, suddenly appeared before it, leaping high with all his strength to reach the height of the dragon's eyes.
"Didn't see that coming?"
He kicked the dragon's nose, and the explosive force of that moment knocked the dragon onto the bridge, producing a thunderous rumble.
Engulfed in flames, the dragon was enraged and spewed fire ferociously, but Fingerley swiftly hurled a magic scroll to summon a shield and stood resiliently in the searing heat. In rapid succession, he thrust tens of times at the same spot on the dragon's eyelid, finally piercing through the hard skin and penetrating the uniquely textured eyeball!
"Roar!"
The dragon, feeling intense pain, jerked its head back, flinging Fingerley away. The agony fueled its rage, making it swear to tear this man to shreds!
Yet, after landing a hit, Fingerley didn't linger in battle; he swung a hook and latch to catch a scale protruding from the dragon's neck, pushed forcefully, and lunged back onto the dragon's body, wielding his dual blades and spinning like a top, slicing continuously from neck to tail tip, sparks showering as the blade clashed with scales!
This is the dual blade secret technique Fingerley learned from Sain's forest area; he affectionately calls it "Scrub-scrub Back!"
The dragon had never suffered such an attack, and it wobbled so much it nearly lost balance.
But, it seemed like besides throwing the dragon off its balance, the move didn't inflict much noticeable damage.
"A whole set, and the blades are almost worn out again."
Fingerley quickly sprinkled repair light powder on his dual blades, then struck a Gravity Slash pose behind the dragon.
The dragon immediately sensed something was wrong, but before it could turn around, endless flashes exploded, all landing on its tail!
"Roar!"
Its scream resounded throughout the Undead Town Outside the City, reaching the ears of others as well.
"Hehe, warm-up's over, time to take on the boss~"
Fingerley, satisfied, picked up the Flying Dragon Sword formed from the dragon's severed tail. He transformed into a flash once more and vanished from the spot. By the time the dragon realized, he had already rushed to the front of the Undead Parish, found Blacksmith Andre underground, tossed a few dragon scales, and asked him to reinforce the Flying Dragon Sword.
While the dragon thought this guy wouldn't come back and had turned away, Fingerley in his flash form suddenly zipped underneath it, dashing toward the Fire Transmission Ceremony like a streak of light.
"...Roar!!!"
The dragon's enraged cries echoed far into the distance.
"So, you made this trip just to get a Flying Dragon Sword?" Matilda eyed Fingerley, who had completed his warm-up, like a naughty child.
"And the Universal Key; we should have one ourselves," Fingerley displayed the Universal Key he bought from Andre, then waved, saying:
"Now we can really set off!"
Fingerley's strength... has grown a lot, much more than before.
Luluwo watched Fingerley's back, recalling the days in the Royal Capital when they fought Eliphas together. Back then, Fingerley's prowess couldn't match up to now.
Judging by his current form, maybe he could now handle Kaius on his own.
"Perhaps this time we might win."
She murmured to herself.
"After ringing the second bell, you ought to tell me how to return, Sain."
