Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?-Chapter 289 - 238: Ghost Bride, Sacrificial Altar! (Part 2)
Ling Wuce blew his beard, saying grumpily.
Han Yu gave a wry smile, and said helplessly, "I initially thought I had a way, but it’s no use. My Water Divine Power actually couldn’t control the seawater he painted."
"Could it be because it has no root or source?"
Ling Wuce speculated, saying essentially, gold, wood, water, fire, and earth are the world’s five basic elements, cultivators use cultivation techniques to create the five elements because they possess the five elements themselves.
Divine techniques split the five elements because the innate five elements are within the cultivator.
The Divine Brush drawing the five elements out of thin air couldn’t possibly be achieved.
Then it should still be a special kind of energy; this water is not water, what it draws appears to be but is not.
"Is it tangible but not real?"
Han Yu mused, then nodded towards his counterpart.
If that’s the case, it could roughly be accepted; otherwise, such a Divine Brush is simply defying the heavens.
If it could draw a Top-Grade Pill for oneself, or draw some cultivation resources daily, wouldn’t one’s cultivation level soar rapidly?
"You stay to guide the seawater out of White Emperor City! I’ll try again."
After saying that, he didn’t wait for Ling Wuce to agree and immediately leaped skyward.
This time, eight giant palms rose to escort him; covered in raging flames, he resembled an arrow from a bow aimed straight at the bridal sedan.
The Divine Brush moved once more, swiftly painting a gigantic mountain in the void that instantly enveloped the entire White Emperor City.
Even Han Yu was taken aback by this enormous aura, with the eight giant palms simultaneously supporting above his head.
The mountain immediately pressed down, causing rocks and earth to break and scatter everywhere, yet the heavy pressure Han Yu anticipated did not manifest.
The eight giant palms only crushed the first four before halting completely.
"So it really is something tangible but not real!"
Han Yu murmured to himself, Old Ling was right.
There couldn’t possibly be something so heaven-defying.
Understanding the Divine Brush’s nature, Han Yu immediately withdrew the giant palms and charged directly at the mountain, appearing as a small figure rushing toward an outer-worldly great mountain from another’s view.
He fearlessly threw a punch, lightning arcs constantly flickering on his arm, and as the punch landed on the mountain, the earth shook; in an instant, the majestic mountain shattered into dust.
"Damn it!"
In the bridal sedan, the Judge fumed; the tangible but not real nature of the Divine Brush had ultimately been seen through, and his plan to take advantage of this deceptive item was now unlikely to succeed.
Han Yu, after succeeding, chuckled lightly and reached out to grab the Divine Brush, but the Judge quickly painted a dragon and a phoenix in the void, with the sound of dragon roars and phoenix cries, a dragon and a phoenix rose to pounce at Han Yu.
"Dragon and Phoenix Fight?"
With a mocking laugh, Han Yu similarly used fire to forge a dragon and a phoenix, then released them.
In the sky, flying dragons entwined each other in a fierce brawl.
Phoenixes danced in the heavens, resembling two meteoric fires chasing one another.
Han Yu merely glanced before losing interest, turning his gaze instead toward the bridal sedan.
After all, it’s the person inside orchestrating everything; once they’ve been taken down, everything should vanish into thin air.
Thinking of this, Han Yu made a swift move toward the sedan, flames covering his form like a fierce bird preying, with a pair of fiery claws reaching out on both sides.
The ghost shadow beneath the sedan let out a mournful howl, floating and shifting unpredictably as it carried the sedan, moving with incredible speed, sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right.
The pair of fiery claws missed their mark, but Han Yu was unconcerned because he’d already arrived before the sedan, using Wind Thunder Fist directly toward its roof, splitting it in half with a resounding bang.
"You impudent brat, dare you wait for me to come out?"
The Judge’s voice instantaneously came through from within the curtain.
"Fine, come out."
Han Yu promptly withdrew his fist, raising an eyebrow.
After about ten breaths, the sedan’s curtain slowly lifted, revealing a red-clad figure.
A tall person slowly walked out in mid-air...
Han Yu initially wanted to see what tricks the other party could play, but the next moment he couldn’t help but twitch his mouth, his expression becoming extraordinarily strange.
"How about you go back in? I can wait a bit longer."
He sighed as such.
The Judge’s current appearance was truly eye-searing, in a red bridal gown, paired with such a long face, one glance was nauseating, and more were an assault on the eyes.
The Judge gritted his teeth, a look of shame and annoyance on his face.
Had there been other means, he wouldn’t be in this state.
This attire happened to match the bridal sedan as a set Magical Treasure, and it even had a dedicated name—the Ghost Bride.
Angrily, he placed the red veil over his head, causing the sedan to instantly emit an extremely enchanting red light, illuminating the entire area.
"Prepare to die!"
The Judge’s figure became elusive and unpredictable under the red light, with his shape floating; clearly forward a moment ago, then silently attempting to stab Han Yu from behind with the brush the next.
"Behind you!"
Within his Sea of Consciousness, the Artifact Spirit voiced a warning.
Han Yu swiftly turned to the side, not thinking twice before retaliating with a fierce strike.
An elemental tiger’s claw shot out from the Divine Brush under a violent punch, dissipating after taking the hit; the Judge failed his ambush and let out a cold snort with an unreadable expression, continuously pointing with the Divine Brush.
The sedan leaving afterimages as it moved, and at this moment, its entire curtain opened, as a strange wind flowed toward Han Yu.
Once touched, a sinister feeling emerged, leading to a brief moment of distraction.
"Wake up!"
Glass immediately cried out, successfully snapping Han Yu back to reality.
The Divine Brush then completed its final sketch, painting a massive altar.
The altar’s four pillars were identical to the Dragon Capturing Pillar Qi Bai used.
Additionally, four large iron chains extended endlessly from the pillars.
A huge Bronze Cauldron rested at the center of the altar, burning with flames inside.
"Suppress him for me!"
The Judge commanded loudly, causing the four iron chains to move simultaneously, lashing toward Han Yu.
What in the world is this thing?
Han Yu dared not be careless, first protecting himself with a wall of flames in defense.
The flames touched the chains but did not result in a melting scene; rather, the flames were conducted along the chains into the cauldron.
Dang!
Wasn’t it supposed to be tangible but not real?
What’s happening now?
"The problem might lie with the altar; it is indeed tangible but not real, yet the sacrificial rite is real. The opponent plans to sacrifice you."
The Artifact Spirit’s expression became incredibly grim; what kind of sacrifice could require such an altar?
Me? A sacrifice?
A sacrifice to whom?
"You’ll only know if you become a sacrifice."
Han Yu’s face turned dark instantly; he would rather never find out.
The chains from the four Dragon Capturing Pillars themselves weren’t extraordinary; the extraordinary part seemed to be the altar, which seemed capable of absorbing energy.
In that case, Han Yu grinned fiercely; he could only resort to battling with his physical form.
With that in mind, he suppressed his urge to unleash Divine Techniques, his figure constantly shifting. His body swayed at the front, and the four chains relentlessly pursued.
The Judge, observing Han Yu’s approach, naturally knew the latter’s intentions, and the Divine Brush began sketching again, unleashing a white-striped giant tiger with wings.
As Han Yu charged forth, the white tiger instantly blocked before the Judge, and man and tiger collided.
Han Yu unleashed a prepped punch, causing the white tiger to explode into countless ink dots, and by then, the chains had already climbed up.
Caught unprepared, Han Yu’s right leg was immediately snared...
