White Online-Chapter 684: Mortal Vs. Demon.
Crack...
The foundations that had held the Whitelock company for a decade started cracking and crumbling apart.
The entire skyscraper started slowly tilting sideways, with windows slowly cracking as the office equipment slid down the floor and crashed with them.
Maxwell heard the resounding sound and so did Bella. However, the demon could dodge the skyscraper effortlessly if she could with her speed.
'I have to slow her down.'
Maxwell pointed his finger at Bella. "Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed... Gravity 100x!"
Crack!
Both Maxwell and Bella landed on the slippery ground with their bodies slowly burying to the ground.
Maxwell was in worse shape as he didn't expect the gravity to affect him too, but it was expected since he could only control the environment and not people, so the gravity's area of effect must be greater than just one meter around the demon.
Bella looked annoyed as the glowing spheres couldn't move under the effect of gravity. However, she quickly managed to force herself to stand while Maxwell was already having difficulty breathing as his head was smashed into the ground.
"You are a bothersome insect." Bella dragged her feet across the concrete ground, as if it were made of sand.
"No... you are." Maxwell grinned as he barely raised his bloodied face. "You should... look at your surroundings!"
"Hmm?" Bella frowned, but then a large shadow appeared around him. The massive skyscraper with over fifty floors fell down on her!
"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed... Normal Gravity!" Maxwell shouted, the gravity returned to normal, and he immediately stood up and tried to run to safety while the skyscraper crashed down on Bella and the glowing spheres.
Behind him, the skyscraper exploded, with a massive mushroom cloud filling the air and causing the sky to turn dark orange!
The surrounding buildings was lit in flames with ground melting down.
Maxwell was hit in the back by the shockwave and was thrown across hundreds of meters until he crashed into a building.
It was a devastating strike to his mortal body.
Maxwell rolled across the building until he crashed into the wall at the end of the building and stopped moving altogether. It was unknown what his current state was.
The destruction of the skyscraper caused a cloud of fire and dust to spread across the Snowstar while the mushroom cloud pierced through the sky with dangerous presence.
On the outskirts of Snowstar, Isabella left a forest while hugging her stomach, which had started to slightly bulge. She wore very thick winter clothing, made by her company to make it less tight around her stomach, making it perfect for pregnant women.
She looked back at the Snowstar and saw the enormous mushroom cloud with trembling eyes. She saw that it happened some distance away from their homes, but strangely close to her husband's company.
'I hope he is alright.' Isabella thought while rubbing her belly gently. 'I am sure he is alright since our home is far enough away.
When the spaceships appeared, Marvin, Sophia, and Mark happened to be at the construction area. There were also Marvin's and Sophia's friends, while Mark happened to tag along.
They immediately informed them to leave Snowstar as soon as possible, and Isabella hoped they would listen, but she trusted her children and their friends.
Isabella looked away from burning Snowstar and left the city in foot--her destination was still unclear, but anywhere was better than somewhere with demons.
...
On Mars.
Asmodeus lashed with the whip, tearing through the air and landing on Isaac.
"Tsk." Isaac glanced at his arm that was slightly bleeding, but it quickly healed miraculously.
"You like to get whipped that much, aye?" Asmodeus sneered. "Then, let me do it more!"
Isaac narrowed his eyes and dodged the next whiplash. He was getting slightly annoyed, but then, his body froze as he felt something odd.
He turned around to look across space, straight at the Four Seasons.
He felt the life signal of someone very close to him slowly dwindling away.
"You shouldn't be distracted!" Asmodeus lashed out with the whip, but it was suddenly snatched by Isaac, who pulled him closer with the whip, grabbed his neck and shattered it with his deathly grip.
Asmodeus' body collapsed on the ground, but even though his neck was broken and his spine shattered, he was still slowly healing!
Isaac, however, didn't have time to care about him and quickly leaped off the Mars and started flying towards Four Seasons with panic flashing across his eyes.
...
"Ah..." Bella looked at the ceiling of a broken skyscraper while she was buried fifty meters below the ground with fifty floors' worth of buildings piled on top of her.
Her legs had separated from the rest of her body and she was lying whoknows where.
Half of her face was burnt, her horns cracked, and her previously beautiful body had been scarred.
She never expected this to be possible. It wasn't done by the Chain Breaker or God either, but a mere mortal did this, who was at equal level to an insect.
"Isaac... save me." Bella reached her scarred arm towards the faraway ceiling with crimson tears pouring out of her eyes. "I just wanted to... make food and see you enjoy it. Why did you refuse to come with me to the demon realm? I..."
Bella drew a long breath as her heart suddenly stopped. Her vitality couldn't save her from death.
The fire raged around her and caused her body to be lit in flames.
...
"What is the general doing?" the commanding demons spoke while looking at the distant cloud of flames. They knew it was the result of Bella's sphere of destruction, but they wondered why she did that and who she fought.
"Let's fly closer to see." They decided, but before they could move forward, the ship's ceiling was suddenly ripped off, as if it was done by an invisible hand.
The commanding demons screamed as they looked above, only to see a white-haired man looking down at them coldly, like a god looking down at mortals.
"F-Fire!" the commanding demons shouted, but before they could draw their weapons, Isaac clenched his fist and flew through the ship like a missile. The ship exploded with a fiery explosion, but the commanding demons still survived with only severe burn damage.
"Die." Isaac said coldly while his back was facing them. Behind him, the commanding demons gasped greedily for air and died.
