When Will My Childhood Sweetheart Marry Me?-Chapter 79 - 0: Unfortunately, You Are Neither of the Two
If faces mattered, would he have to cling like a damned plaster, devising ways every day to win that girl’s favor?
Xie Anyu was a bit dazed and hadn’t had the chance to reply before Pei Yan turned his head towards the street and said, "There are two types of people in the world, those I like and those I hate, and I’m sorry, you’re neither."
Xie Anyu’s face turned pale, "But I can try to become someone you like."
As she spoke, she stepped forward, closing the distance between them at once.
Fuck.
Pei Yan’s eyes grew colder, "Ever heard of ’short-tempered’? Scram, and if you dare show up in front of me again, I’ll kick you like a ball."
Damned suffering.
After all this hassle with this woman, he still hadn’t seen that head under the umbrella turn to glance over.
Humiliated by Pei Yan, Xie Anyu was so scared that she turned pale and dared not move. She had known that Pei Yan had a bad temper, but she had never realized he was sick.
Short-tempered sounded terrible. No wonder there were so many girls secretly in love with him, yet to this day, none dared to step forward.
No boy had ever spoken to her so viciously, telling her to scram.
The dream of Cinderella utterly shattered.
Not until that sharp, cold silhouette had long disappeared did Xie Anyu dare to tremble and cry.
Seeing Pei Yan return expressionless, Tang Xing got excited.
"Yaoyao, I bet Xie Anyu got hit hard. She really has guts, daring to bother Boss Pei again and again."
Tsk tsk, who said that all the girls in Liberal Arts Class 8 are softies? What nonsense.
A cold wind blew, causing Tang Xing to shiver violently.
She saw Shuyao show no reaction for a long time and was about to continue speaking when a black sedan slowly drove over.
"Yaoyao, your driver is here."
Jiang Shuyao helplessly corrected, "It’s Pei Yan’s."
"Oh, what’s the difference between his family and yours? You’ve grown up together in a tight-knit group, sharing a driver is normal."
She: "..."
Amidst the chaos, Pei Yan’s languid voice suddenly rose from behind, "Not just growing up together, she and I even wore the same dress once."
Pfft.
Tang Xing laughed indecorously, what a rarity, even the school bully has his funny moments.
Amidst the rain, the black sedan with hazard lights on stopped, and as Jiang Shuyao got into the car, her cheeks carried a faint smile, seemingly recalling some happy memories from childhood.
Wanting to be ready to get off the car later, Tang Xing cheerfully sat in the passenger seat, and before she had even warmed her seat, she turned her head to ask Pei Yan, "Did you guys have any other fun stories from when you were kids? Tell me about them."
The little girl probably didn’t realize it herself, but she was no longer as restrained in front of Pei Yan as she had been before, instantly transforming from a coward to a buddy, to Shuyao’s mixed amusement and frustration.
Pei Yan, with his eyes half-closed, leaned back in his seat. He had taken off his jacket and casually thrown it aside, wearing only a shirt. Despite the cold weather, he managed to emit an air of warmth.
Hearing Tang Xing’s question, he glanced sideways with a sidelong look, "There are too many fun stories between her and me. You can ask her if she wants to tell them."
Then he added in a detached tone, "Like, at the start of sixth grade in elementary school, when she accidentally walked into the boys’ restroom and was too embarrassed to leave, she asked me—"
"Pei Yan!"
Before he could finish, Jiang Shuyao immediately turned her head with indignation, glaring at him fiercely.
The air stood still.
Just as Tang Xing’s curiosity had been piqued, it was abruptly cut off. She quickly turned to Jiang Shuyao and coaxed, "Yaoyao, what happened next? Let him continue."
What happened next...
Every time Jiang Shuyao remembered that incident, she felt so ashamed she wished she could bury herself.
In a moment of folly, she had actually directed Pei Yan to switch the signs outside all the men’s and women’s restrooms in the entire building.
You heard right, the entire building.
So, when the bell signaling the end of class rang, real chaos began.
