When Will My Childhood Sweetheart Marry Me?-Chapter 68 - 0: Did Not Go to the Internet Cafe
After getting out of the car, the girl silently walked towards the pharmacy.
Pei Yan massaged his brow and, feeling helpless, stepped forward and grabbed her arm. "Don’t buy it, I don’t need it."
She turned her face away, her gaze slowly moving downward, noticing that his hand was still tucked in his pocket.
Jiang Shuyao looked up and met the young man’s eyes quietly. "Take out your hand and let me see."
In the open air, the smell was much fainter, but her naturally sensitive nose could still detect a faint smell of blood.
The girl’s face was serious, her soft voice contained an unmistakable firmness, bringing Pei Yan mixed feelings of joy and sadness.
The sadness was because the messed-up thing he had done was about to be discovered by her.
The joy was that, at this moment, her eyes and heart were filled only with thoughts of him.
Emotions began to emerge in the young man’s eyes, and on this cold, silent night, his smile warmed slightly. He slowly took his left hand out of his pocket and let it hang by his side, hidden in the shadows.
Even so, in that brief moment, Jiang Shuyao still saw the bloodstain on the back of his hand.
Her eyebrows knitted together as she asked, "Did you get into a fight at the internet cafe?"
The girl was naive yet clever, much like that time they went skiing—she couldn’t be fooled.
Pei Yan involuntarily bent his fingers slightly; his joints hurt, but it was bearable.
He smiled silently and spoke with a bit of a rogue tone, "When have I ever lost a fight? It’s always the other guy who bleeds."
Jiang Shuyao looked at him silently.
"If it wasn’t a fight, then why is your hand injured?" She insisted on understanding the situation.
Her moist eyes made his heart soften.
The two of them stayed in a deadlock for a full ten minutes before Pei Yan couldn’t take it anymore. He put his left hand back in his pocket and blandly uttered, "I went to the school computer lab."
The night wind breezed by, and Jiang Shuyao stood there, stunned.
Her voice lowered as she gently asked, "You didn’t go to the internet cafe, but to the school’s computer lab to help me register?"
But at that time, the computer lab would have been locked already.
So, how did he get in?
Thinking of a certain possibility, Jiang Shuyao’s eyes suddenly welled up.
If she hadn’t noticed his injured hand, would he have never mentioned it?
His recklessness infuriated her.
Yet, she couldn’t bring herself to scold him.
Jiang Shuyao couldn’t describe the feeling in her heart, a vague discomfort she was reluctant to admit.
Once she showed any sign of being touched or softening, this guy would definitely become even more reckless next time.
Nevertheless, she eventually couldn’t resist walking up to him and gently took out the hand that was tucked in his pocket.
The back of his hand was a mess of blood and wounds, which was shocking to behold.
Jiang Shuyao quickly averted her eyes and turned around, coldly walking towards the pharmacy.
"Stay there; I’ll be right back."
But the person would not listen and lazily followed her.
She turned her head and glared at him. "I said don’t move!"
"..."
Pei Yan suddenly felt defeated. Damn, she actually dared to scold him. Did she have no sympathy?
He looked at her with a smile and asked, "Do you even know what medicine to buy?"
The naive girl, who had never been hurt from childhood, how could she know how to handle wounds?
Jiang Shuyao silently stared at him for a while, ignored him, and turned to enter the pharmacy.
When she came out, she was holding hydrogen peroxide, iodine, cotton swabs, and gauze—all accounted for. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Pei Yan chuckled softly to himself; he had underestimated her.
His smile halfway across his face, the girl had already walked past him without looking, heading straight for Yasong Residence.
"Hey, why are you walking so fast? Can’t you take care of this injured person?"
"You deserve it."
"..."
Heartless little thing.
