Chapter 567: Chapter 567: Do You Like Me?

"I went to install snow chains today and happened to see your car," Dustin Shepherd admitted. "Anyway, it’s on the way. Want to ride back together?"

"You... you’re not afraid of rumors?"

Dustin furrowed his brow. "How else can these rumors spread?" He chuckled a bit, his tone carrying a hint of complaint. "You’ve already sent out red envelopes in the group."

Huh?!

How does he know!!

This was the small design department group!!

"They also asked me to send them. These people are hard to please," Dustin’s eyes narrowed as he touched the tip of his nose and looked up at the snowy night sky.

She was curious. "So, did you... send them?"

"I did."

Serena Sutton felt like laughing internally, secretly letting out a sigh of relief before rolling her eyes—

"So there you have it! You also sent them, so how can you blame me for the rumors?"

Those words weren’t pleasant for Dustin. In the elevator, it was her who kissed him first; if she hadn’t, what could anyone have seen? 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

But the words stuck in his throat, he couldn’t get them out. After all, he had pinned her against the wall back then, and both parties were responsible for the situation.

Just then, two colleagues came out from the hall. Upon seeing them, they were initially surprised, then hurriedly greeted, "Hello, Assistant Shepherd! Hello, Mrs. Shepherd!!"

"Waiting for Assistant Shepherd to finish work? A couple that’s always together!"

Serena Sutton suddenly turned to them, eyes wide, nearly spitting out a mouthful of blood!

Dustin was also stunned by this title. Just as he wanted to explain, the two had already run off laughing!

Serena took a deep breath, withdrew her gaze, shook her head at Dustin, and then started walking outside.

It was late; she needed to get a taxi home! Keep some distance from him!

Dustin also turned, walking toward his car in the opposite direction.

It had been snowing constantly in Argent lately, and safety was a priority.

Serena Sutton, standing by the roadside, surprisingly didn’t see a single taxi—not even any other cars.

The street was barren, and a chill wind blew, making it very cold! She blew into her palms and tightened her scarf.

Soon, Dustin’s car stopped in front of her, and the window rolled down, revealing his handsome face.

"Get in the car. It’s on the way, anyway, I’ll give you a ride back." His tone was indifferent, without warmth, and his face showed no expression.

Serena glanced at him. She did want to ride in his car, given she couldn’t hail a taxi, but it was incredibly awkward as well, and she was conflicted inside!

Dustin spoke again—

"It’s so late; the roads are icy, and no one will be taking rides. The bridge ahead is tough to navigate; several cars have fallen off. That’s why I installed snow chains today."

Serena glanced at his tires, reached out, opened the passenger door, and slipped into the car. "Well, thank you, Assistant Shepherd."

"No need to be formal; just pay a bit for the ride." Dustin said, starting the car.

Serena fastened her seatbelt, turned to him with disdain, "The entire company is talking about us being together, and as a man, why don’t you explain?"

She wanted to hear what he thought.

"The innocent will remain innocent. What do I have to explain?" His tone was leisurely, seemingly untroubled.

So, does he like her too?

"How are you innocent? You even sent out red envelopes!" Serena stated bluntly, forcibly suppressing the "Do you like me?" question in her heart.

Dustin was calm, answering while driving, "Didn’t you send them too? In fact, you sent them first?"

"I..."

"Serena Sutton, do you like me?" Dustin could sense it, so he let a gentle smile play on his lips and asked directly.
