When His Nauseous Sweetheart Frowns, the Tycoon's Family Takes Turns Pampering Her-Chapter 151: A Family of Three Prepares Ingredients
Returning to Summit Plaza, the three of them were in a completely different mood than before.
This time, they came as a family of three, and everyone was all smiles.
Russell Frost parked the car, and the family headed straight for the seafood market.
Their goal was clear. After selecting what they wanted and having it weighed, they got in line to pay.
Worried about Luna in her pregnancy, Russell Frost had the mother and daughter find a place to sit and wait outside while he stood in line alone.
The two found an inconspicuous place to rest. Watching the shoppers come and go, Jenna Axton asked Luna, "Have you told Blaze?"
Luna Axton replied, "I called him this morning after breakfast, but Kyle Joyce answered. He said he’d pass on the message when Blaze has a moment. He’ll probably call me once he’s finished with work."
Blaze Fairchild didn’t usually let Kyle Joyce hold his phone. He would only have Kyle monitor it if he was in the middle of something important that couldn’t be interrupted.
"The two grandfathers are very good friends, too. They’ll be happy if they can get together and chat more often."
The Fairchild family was vast and influential, but its bloodline was thin. Looking at the aging Julian Fairchild, Jenna Axton couldn’t help but remember the days when Susie and Ian Fairchild were still alive. Back then, Mr. Fairchild had been so kind and full of laughter.
The contrast made Jenna Axton’s heart ache, a heavy feeling like a wad of cotton stuck in her chest.
She understood what her mother meant. "I’ll spend more time with Grandpa, and I’ll take both grandfathers out more often in the future."
A short while later, Russell Frost emerged with the shopping bags.
He saw the mother and daughter sitting there, both looking at him, and a wave of warmth instantly washed over his heart.
"Got everything. Let’s go." Russell Frost walked toward his wife and daughter, his face full of smiles. "I saw a sign. This elevator doesn’t go to where I parked, so we’ll have to take the long way around."
On the escalator, Jenna Axton, wearing her favorite hat, stood behind Russell Frost with Luna.
Even though she was married to Russell Frost, she subconsciously kept her distance from him when they were out, especially in Valoria where so many people knew them. She was afraid of being recognized.
Fortunately, after discreetly observing their surroundings for a while, she noticed no one was paying any special attention to their family of three, and she relaxed.
Normally, Luna Axton only left the house for school, the Fairchild Estate, or her scheduled prenatal check-ups. Now that she had the chance to visit Summit Plaza, her eyes were exceptionally observant.
The profits from Summit Plaza were her allowance, so she couldn’t help but take note of the foot traffic and how the various shops were doing.
She didn’t know anything about business, but she could tell that the foot traffic in Summit Plaza was even heavier than during the Spring Festival.
"The mall is really bustling today," Russell Frost also noted, finding it unusual.
Even for a holiday, the purchasing power during the Spring Festival was always stronger than any other.
"The mall must be holding some kind of event," Jenna Axton said. "Look over there. That group of young girls, all holding little flags and carrying cameras, are running in that direction."
Luna Axton followed her mother’s pointing finger and noticed that the pink banners in the girls’ hands bore a name: Yara York.
Even though she didn’t follow the entertainment industry, she knew of this huge star. The "National Goddess," the woman every man in the country dreamed of marrying.
Yara York was exceptionally stunning, with fair skin, a beautiful face, and long legs.
As Lindsey would say, her legs were neither too fat nor too thin—they had just the right amount of flesh, a perfect shape.
Part of the reason Yara York became the "National Goddess" was that visually-oriented men loved her type: curvy, with a full bust and bottom, long, pale legs, and a classic oval face.
Another reason was her voice, which was both soft and sultry. The moment she spoke, she could bring men to their knees.
Lindsey had first told her about Yara York right around the time Luna herself was starting to pay more attention to her appearance and learning about style.
Naturally, the "National Goddess’s" fashion and makeup were the first things to study and emulate.
Thinking about it now, Luna Axton found herself wondering if Yara York was truly as beautiful in person as she appeared in the photos and videos online.
The crowd was huge, and being pregnant, she certainly wasn’t going to push her way into the thick of it.
After getting off the escalator, the three of them headed for the elevator to the B2 parking garage.
Jenna Axton and Russell Frost kept their daughter safely between them, protecting her in case someone tripped or bumped into her.
As Luna Axton walked carefully, she couldn’t help but look around.
Her gaze inadvertently froze. She saw Blaze Fairchild.
It was just like the first time she had met Blaze Fairchild at Summit Plaza, when Rosalind Fairchild had brought her here.
Today, he was wearing a khaki suit that looked both professional and sophisticated.
He was already tall, so he stood out conspicuously among a group of men in dark suits.
So Luna Axton spotted him at the front of the group immediately.
"Blaze is working here, too," Jenna Axton said, having also spotted her son-in-law. "Why don’t we wait for him to finish? You could tell him about the barbecue in person then."
Just as Jenna Axton asked for her opinion, Blaze Fairchild looked over.
Their eyes met. Blaze Fairchild’s serious expression suddenly broke into a smile, and he nodded at them.
He then turned his head to say a few words to Kyle Joyce, who also glanced in their direction.
Blaze Fairchild didn’t linger, leading his group around the corner and continuing toward the central atrium.
Kyle Joyce, however, headed toward them.
"Young Madam, Special Envoy Frost, Mrs. Frost." He greeted each of them politely before relaying his boss’s message to the Young Madam.
"Young Madam, the President has a lunch meeting after this. Once he’s finished, he’ll pick up Old Master Fairchild and head to Veridian Lake. Uncle Foster has already gone ahead to Veridian Lake with some staff and the meats that need marinating. You all just need to pick out any other ingredients you like."
"Thank you, Mr. Joyce. I understand," Luna Axton replied. She was always polite.
Kyle Joyce had witnessed the relationship between the President and the Young Madam blossom, and he’d even received a hefty year-end bonus for it.
He, more than anyone, was aware of the change in the President before and after his marriage.
The secretarial department was enjoying its current good fortune, and he had the Young Madam to thank for it most of all.
A thousand thoughts ran through Kyle Joyce’s mind, and when he spoke to Luna Axton again, his tone was even more respectful. "Well then, Young Madam, I’ll get back to work."
Luna Axton merely gave a slight nod, saying nothing.
Jenna Axton watched Kyle Joyce’s retreating figure. "Blaze is so thoughtful. This way, we don’t have to rush to buy and marinate fresh meat."
"In that case, I’ll put these oysters in the car, and the three of us can browse for a bit. We could pick out some gifts for Mr. Coleman and Ms. Brooks?" Russell Frost suggested.
’Russell Frost was well aware that if it weren’t for Ms. Brooks, things between him and Adriana would never have progressed so quickly.’
’He would be grateful for Ms. Brooks’s immense help for the rest of his life.’
Jenna Axton said, "Go on. I’ll take Luna to get some coffee."
