Gao Fu Shuai was surprised to see Yu Shan being polite to him, but he quickly reacted and cupped his hands as well as he introduced himself.

But the way that he introduced himself...was a bit strange.

He didn’t introduce himself with his sect like Yu Shan had, he just directly called himself a lackey like he took pride in that.

Everyone couldn’t help looking at Gao Fu Shuai with a strange look when they heard this.

With the way that they looked at him, it was almost as if they were wondering if there was a screw loose inside of his head.

But even with everyone looking at him like this, Gao Fu Shuai didn’t care since he took pride in this title.

The only thing that he cared about was showing off his loyalty and power to a certain someone.

After a moment of silence, Yu Shan said, "Since you’re still in the Qi Gathering Realm, I’ll suppress my cultivation."

Even if Yu Shan was only an outer sect disciple, the Star Peak Sect was a second grade sect in the end. The quality of their disciples were far greater than the quality of disciples in other sects.

So as an outer sect disciple, Yu Shan was already in the Qi Condensation Realm.

The Qi Gathering Realm was the first major realm and the Qi Condensation Realm was the third major realm.

That meant that there were a total of two major realms between Yu Shan and Gao Fu Shuai.

If he were to fight with his normal cultivation, then it just wouldn’t be considered a fight at all.

This was a spar and not a fight to the death, so of course Yu Shan couldn’t fight without suppressing his cultivation.

Then all of a sudden, Gao Fu Shuai released a spiritual energy slash with his hand.

The distortion in space followed the spiritual energy slash that was released.

As this slash flew through the air, it seemed like the distortions were getting stronger and stronger, like it was about to make the space around it collapse.

Yu Shan just couldn’t understand what was happening, but he could feel the pressure that was coming from this attack that was coming at him.

He knew that there was no chance that he would be able to take this head on, so the only thing that he could do was dodge out of the way.

With his experience, it was easy for him to dodge out of the way, even if the distorted space around the spiritual energy slash seemed to draw him in a bit.

But what he didn’t expect was a second spiritual energy slash.

Gao Fu Shuai had already expected Yu Shan to dodge the first one, or rather, he was counting on Yu Shan to dodge the first one. After all, his plan was to have Yu Shan dodge that first one so he could hit Yu Shan with this second one.

Though he was surprised to see how slow Yu Shan had moved when he dodged out of the way.

Yu Shan was picked up off his feet and sent flying out of the arena.

He did all that he could to block the force of this attack, but he could feel the blood surging in his chest.

Though the spiritual energy slash did stop midway in the air and allow Yu Shan to land on the ground.

Yu Shan had a strange look on his face, but he still admitted, "Thank you for your mercy."

"Thank you for letting me win." Gao Fu Shuai said with cupped hands.

Everyone was silent when they saw the result of this first sparring match...
