Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 85: Onslaught of money
Seeing the calm way that I responded, Yao Fu completely lost it again as he went to slap the table.
The problem was that the table had already been destroyed by him, so his hand just hit thin air when it slapped down.
With the force that he had used when he slapped down, he actually lost his balance for a second and couldn’t help stumbling forward.
When Yao Fu stepped down, his foot actually cracked the ground under him.
That was just how powerful his body had become that he wasn’t able to control his power anymore.
But even if he had stumbled like this, he didn’t let himself show a single trace of panic.
With the same look of anger, he said, "You prodigal! Who taught you about common sense?! They clearly didn’t teach you well enough!"
But as soon as he said this, Yao Fu stopped talking as if he realized that something was wrong.
Right, he had already heard about this from Liu Han.
This kid in front of him was an orphan and had lived as an orphan...but there was no way that this was true with all the things that he took out. However, that didn’t mean that the fact that he had grown up without parents was false.
This was something that had already been confirmed with Lin Li Zi.
Though he was angry with Lin Fan, he knew how much Liu Ao Xue cared about him.
At the same time, he was only angry about how he was approaching Liu Ao Xue and he was actually grateful for him saving his life with the Nine Lives Grass. So even if he was a bit irrational, he didn’t actually want to make things hard for Lin Fan.
At that moment, Yao Fu realized that he had crossed a line.
But to his surprise, before he got a chance to say anything, I said, "That’s right, I wasn’t raised with common sense, so I waste my money how I want. I am a prodigal through and through."
I wasn’t hurt by what he said, rather I just accepted it since that was how a prodigal should act.
With a more serious look, I looked right into Yao Fu’s eyes and said, "My parents are skilled at making money, but not spending money. As their son, I naturally have a duty to help them spend their money."
The way that I said this seemed very impactful, but the words that I said...
Then again, when I thought about it, I realized that something was wrong.
I didn’t have parents in this world, so my money didn’t come from them.
My money came from the system...
So was I indirectly calling the system my parent?
"The system thinks that it is proud to call you son."
"You!" I couldn’t help cursing at the system when I heard this.
"You’re the one who’s my son since you were born to help me!"
"The system is a great parent that can provide plenty of money, so you can feel free to call the system dad or mom if you want."
I really would collapse if I kept arguing with the system like this...
Luckily for me, there was someone who saved me from this.
"You, you, you! I’ll never accept you as someone for our Xue’er with an attitude like this! Xue’er will only suffer if she’s with you!" Yao Fu completely forgot about his embarrassment from earlier when he heard this as he kept berating me.Liu Ao Xue had a concerned look as well for a few seconds, but then she calmed down as if she had come to a decision.
"It’s up to me to rein him in, isn’t it?" She thought to herself.
She didn’t give up and instead was already thinking about how to control Lin Fan’s spending in the future.
At this, Lin Li Zi looked at Liu Ao Xue and the two of them came to a silent agreement.
After berating me for a bit, Yao Fu said, "I’m done with you! It’s a waste of my breath to scold you like this!" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
He just ignored me and went to pick up a cup from the table to drink some tea.
It seemed like he was planning on completely ignoring me until he drank the tea and his expressions changed.
Yao Fu just looked down at the tea for a bit with a strange look before looking up at me and saying, "Isn’t this Nine Lives Grass?!"
I said with a simple nod, "That’s right, I’m using the Nine Lives Grass as tea. It has quite the refreshing..."
Before I could finish, Yao Fu slammed the cup down on the ground and said, "This prodigal, what do you think you’re doing!?"
I tilted my head like I didn’t understand before saying, "Doesn’t it make the best tea? It has a very refreshing taste to it that helps one clear their head."
"You, you, you!" Yao Fu looked like he was about to choke as he found it hard to breathe in his rage.
Elder Tian and Liu Han both came forward to help Yao Fu, but he just waved his hand at them to get them to leave him alone before saying, "This prodigal! How much are you going to waste before you’re satisfied?!"
I just looked calmly at Yao Fu without saying a thing.
I had seen plenty of people like this in my past life, so I knew that the best way to deal with them was just to remain silent.
It wasn’t as if anything that I could say would change their minds in the first place, so it was just better to let them say whatever they wanted until they calmed down.
But that didn’t happen in the end...
Yao Fu looked down at the cup and he found that it wasn’t smashed at all.
When he looked more closely at it, he slowly said, "Cold Steel, this is Thousand Year Old Cold Steel!"
After saying this, Yao Fu just couldn’t take it anymore as his anger reached a peak and he spat out a mouthful of blood.
This onslaught of money was just too much for his heart...
