Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 81: Far greater
Liu Han thought that something was wrong, so he quickly came forward as if he wanted to help support the Great Elder while saying, "Great Elder, what is it?"
While doing this, he even started to curse Lin Fan.
"Did he do something to the Nine Lives Grass? Wait until I get back and get my hands on him."
But the Great Elder just shook his head and said, "No, it’s nothing wrong. It’s just that this is far greater than I expected."
Liu Han had a very confused look on his face when he heard this as he didn’t understand what the Great Elder meant by this.
The Great Elder didn’t say anything at first before suddenly saying, "This is the Nine Lives Grass, right?"
Liu Han was surprised to hear this, but he slowly gave a nod with an impressed look on his face. He hadn’t told the Great Elder what this concoction was made of, but the Great Elder had been able to figure it out with just one taste.
The Great Elder gave a nod before saying, "Only the Nine Lives Grass could have this kind of effect, but this is still far greater than that."
Once again, Liu Han was even more confused when he heard this as he didn’t understand what the Great Elder meant by this.
The Great Elder didn’t say anything at first as he looked down at the bowl that was in his hand. However, when he looked up to see the expression that was on Liu Han’s face, he explained what he meant.
"This might seem like normal Nine Lives Grass at first, but it’s anything but that."
Liu Han raised a brow in doubt as a part of him thought that the Great Elder was saying that Lin Fan had given him an inferior product.
But that turned out not to be the case.
"This Nine Lives Grass is far greater than any Nine Lives Grass that I’ve seen before. It’s clear that this was raised in a place that is filled with spiritual energy, more than any sacred land that I’ve been to before. It was able to grow under this abundance of spiritual energy to become an herb that’s even greater than normal Nine Lives Grass. I would even go as far as calling it Ten Lives Grass with how much medicinal essence was in this concoction."
Liu Han was completely caught off guard by the praise that the Great Elder had for this Nine Lives Grass.
But at the same time, it made him feel awkward since he didn’t want to acknowledge the person that gave him this Nine Lives Grass.
There was also a part of him that recognized the trouble that was about to follow.
If the Great Elder was giving this much praise to this Nine Lives Grass, then...
As expected, the Great Elder suddenly looked up at Liu Han and asked, "I know that you want to keep this a secret, but you have to tell me where you got this Nine Lives Grass from. Someone that’s able to give up something like this definitely isn’t normal, so we need to try to build up a relationship with them."
There was a reason why Liu Han wanted to keep it secret and it wasn’t just because he was petty...
Well, a small part of it was because he was petty.
The other part of it was because of something else.
Liu Han gave a sigh when he saw that the Great Elder wouldn’t give up on this matter.
He knew what kind of personality the Great Elder was and when he was like this, it was better to take the reins for this matter rather than try to suppress it.
So Liu Han said with another sigh, "Great Elder, you have to promise me that you’ll remain calm when you hear what I have to say."
The Great Elder narrowed his eyes to look at Liu Han before slowly giving a nod.
But in the end, he didn’t keep that promise.
"What did you say?" The Great Elder said in a cold voice.
Liu Han had an even more awkward look on his face as he stood there in silence.
Seeing that Liu Han wouldn’t say anything, the Great Elder put his pressure on Liu Han as he said, "What are you hiding from me?"
Liu Han revealed an even more awkward look when he felt this pressure on him before finally saying, "Great Elder, it’s like this..."
In a slow and hesitant voice, Liu Han told the Great Elder about everything that had happened.
"You beast! Isn’t this the same as selling off Xue’er?" The Great Elder didn’t hesitate to punch Liu Han.
Liu Han didn’t dodge this and was sent flying into the wall by the force of the punch.
After taking this, he said with an awkward look on his face, "Of course it isn’t, I would never accept him!"
"Accept him? It doesn’t matter if you accept him or not if you take his herbs!" The Great Elder looked like he wanted to punch Liu Han again, but he held himself back in the end.
Liu Han revealed a bitter smile without saying anything.
The Great Elder suddenly stood up and said, "I’m going to see Xue’er right now."
Liu Han was shocked before coming forward to help the Great Elder, but all he received was another punch to the face.
The Great Elder said, "I don’t need your help, I’m fine."
He really was fine since his injuries had been instantly healed by the Nine Lives Grass decoction.
The only reason he was a bit out of breath was because of his anger towards Liu Han for letting such a thing happen.
The Great Elder...was just like Liu Han, he was a doting parent.
Liu Han had a bitter smile on his face when he saw this as he felt the same way as Elder Tian did when he had charged to the Falling Star Sect, though he didn’t make this comparison in his mind.
