Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 440: Give me a mission
The next morning, we were heading out of the palace.
As we headed out, the others all looked at me with a strange look since I hadn’t elaborated on what we were about to do.
All they knew was that we were about to stroll around in the streets and that we were about to act as ’prodigals’, but they had no idea what I meant by this since I didn’t provide an explanation after this.
No matter how they tried asking, I didn’t tell them a single thing.
So it was only natural that they would be confused and worried.
Only I didn’t care at all that they felt this way as I was focused on one thing and one thing only.
Complaining to the system.
"I’ve already made it all the way up to a new realm, isn’t it time for a new main mission?"
The system was silent when it heard this as if it didn’t want to engage with me.
But that didn’t stop me from complaining to the system that it wasn’t doing its job properly by not giving me a mission. It wasn’t giving me the proper motivation to act as a prodigal.
Though I normally wouldn’t do something like this since it wasn’t in my nature to do the missions in the first place.
After all, I was a prodigal through and through, so I just wanted to waste money and not care about a thing in this world.
The reason I wanted this mission was all because of Mu Bao Bao and the Nine Tails Empire.
Whatever was happening in the Nine Tails Empire was clearly a large matter and it wasn’t something that we would be able to engage in with our current level of cultivation.
If we were to get involved in this matter, there was no doubt that all that would happen is that we would be rushing to our deaths.
That was why Mu Huang and the ministers were trying to keep Mu Bao Bao in the dark on this matter.
The best way for me to gain strength was naturally to use the strength of my system, which was to act like a prodigal. The system that god gave me was the prodigal system after all, so I would gain more power the more money that I wasted.
In that case, it was time to do what I did best and act like a prodigal.
But if the system was willing to give me a main mission to go along with it, that would be even better.
A single cultivation experience bag would save me quite a bit of trouble.
I had used up all of my cultivation experience bags when I broke through to the Human Immortal Realm and ascended to this upper realm. So there was nothing left for me to increase my cultivation with,
The only thing that I could do was complain to the system to get another mission.
But it seemed that the system was set on ignoring me...
With the servants leading the way, it didn’t take long for us to arrive at the most popular market street in this Heavenly Fox City.
The city today was completely different from the city of yesterday.
The city yesterday had been completely emptied because of Mu Huang’s influence, so there had been nothing in the streets.
The city of today was completely filled with people.
This was even more people than there were in some of the most populated cities in the lower realm. This was even more people than there had been in Wind Storm City.
If it wasn’t for the fact that the streets were quite big, then they would have been completely squeezed into this place.
But the fact that it was filled with people meant that this was a very lively place.
Other than stores, there were many stalls and people calling out their goods, trying to get customers. It seemed that there was a bit of everything that was being sold in this place.
Only when one looked closely, they would be able to see that the things that were being sold were anything but normal. Even the normal stalls that lined the streets sold things that were anything but normal.
They sold things that would be considered very rare resources in the lower realm, but they were considered normal things here in the upper realm.
That was just the difference in value of items between the lower realm and the upper realm. This was something that had to be adjusted to and it seemed like Liu Ao Xue and the lackeys weren’t able to adjust that quickly.
As for Mu Bao Bao...
We had left the palace before having breakfast, so even if she was worried about the things that her father and the ministers weren’t telling her, she couldn’t resist her stomach.
That was just the kind of personality that Mu Bao Bao had and there was no changing her.
However, it did seem that she was familiar with this place and it seemed like the people of the market were familiar with her.
"Uncle Zhou, give me a bowl of wontons!"
"Little Bao Bao, I haven’t seen you in a while! I thought that you forgot about your Uncle Zhou’s wontons!"
"Little Bao Bao, your auntie missed you! I’ve saved some of my special meat cakes for you!"
"It’s Little Bao Bao! It’s been so long since she’s come!"
With the way that the street vendors gathered, it seemed like Mu Bao Bao was quite famous among them. At the same time, it seemed like she was quite welcome among these street vendors.
With the way that they gave her food, it was almost as if they were feeding a stray dog.
But of course, it wasn’t like that at all since the servants that came with us paid for all the food that they gave her.
Mu Bao Bao just seemed to eat without a care until she thought of something.
She turned back and waved her hand at us before saying with a smile, "Come and have some food, it’s all delicious!"
Seeing her like this, I shook my head and gave a sigh before nodding to her with a smile on my face.
