Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 416: Beast hunting

A month.

That was how long it took since leaving the Demon Valley to finish the quest that the system had given me.

It wasn’t hard, it just took a lot of time traveling to find all of the invaders that had come from the upper realms.

At the same time, there were many different small things that happened.

These were minor things that weren’t worth mentioning at all.

It was a long journey, but it was finally over.

When it was over, it was finally time to head up to the upper realm.

Or at least it should have been, but there were still some things that I had to take care of before leaving for the upper realm.

Namely, there were some people that I had to take care of before leaving this lower realm.

Since the Demon Slaying Conference, there were a few enemies that had been made.

I had to either take care of those people or find ways to intimidate them so that they wouldn’t dare do anything once I left this lower realm. Otherwise, it would be the people that I left behind that suffered.

So the first thing that I chose to do was hunt a bunch of spirit beasts.

However, I wasn’t hunting them to take them down.

I was hunting these spirit beasts to subdue them and make them the sect guardian beasts of the Star Peak Sect.

The Four Kings would be coming with me to the upper realm, so I had to get new sect guardian beasts for the Star Peak Sect.

Since it was the system that wanted me to go to the upper realm, the least that it could give me was a map of all the spirit beasts that I could tame. Or it was better to say that I had blackmailed the system into giving me this map.

With this map, I headed off to the forest alone.

The others went back into the Space and Time Training Room to get some final training before heading off to the upper realm.

In fact, they were encouraged to train because they had been the one that had actually taken down the last invader.

I had only let them test it, but it turned out that they had become strong enough that they were able to overwhelm the invader all on their own without my help.

Though this was an invader that wasn’t that strong since it hadn’t been in this lower realm for long.

Still, this was an invader from the upper realm.

This wasn’t a weak thing, it was still someone who was in the Rebirth Realm.

In the outside world, they had only trained for around three months. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

However, inside of the Space and Time Training Room, they had trained for decades.

For now, it was better to let them train a bit longer so they could become as strong as possible when we headed to the upper realm.

Since I was alone, I didn’t hesitate at all as I walked into the forest.

Even though this was a place that was filled with spirit beasts, I didn’t have any fear at all.

Though for other people, they definitely would have been afraid of this place.

That was because this was a place that was famous for having fierce spirit beasts.

After walking into the forest, there weren’t any sounds at all.

One might think that a forest that was filled with terrifying spirit beasts would be filled with sounds, but there wasn’t a single sound at all.

But that didn’t mean that there weren’t any spirit beasts that were around me.

They were there hiding in the trees.

I could even feel their gazes on me as they hid in the trees.

It seemed that they were all staring at me, as if they were paying very close attention to me.

I didn’t even need to think about why these spirit beasts were doing this, but I didn’t bother with them for now. That was because there were more important things for me to do.

I could easily tell that these spirit beasts weren’t that strong in the first place.

They were just the spirit beasts that were at the edge of the forest, so they were only spirit beasts with normal levels of cultivation. They were not spirit beasts that would help me accomplish what I wanted to accomplish.

I pushed forward towards the center of the forest.

As I went further in, there were more and more spirit beasts that appeared around me.

These spirit beasts were different from the spirit beasts that had appeared around me earlier when I walked first into the forest.

These spirit beasts had much higher levels of cultivation, but it still wasn’t anywhere near where I wanted them to be yet.

I continued forward until I was at the very center of the forest.

At the center of this forest was a single hollow and sitting inside of that hollow was a deer.

When I walked into the clearing that this hollow was, the deer looked up at me with a surprised look before its expression slowly changed. After looking at me like this for a bit, it walked over to me until it was standing right in front of me.

However, instead of attacking me like one might expect it to do, it suddenly leaned its head in and rubbed up against me.

It was as if it had known me for its entire life and I was the one that was the closest to it.

That was the power of my title.

I reached my hand out and stroked the deer on the neck before saying, "Follow me."

The deer just gave a simple nod in response.

I turned to look at the surrounding area before saying, "Bring the others as well."

The deer gave another nod before making a sound.

Once this sound rang out, the spirit beasts came forward as well.

They didn’t hesitate this time as they came over and they acted as friendly as the deer.

Take down the king if you want to clear the pawns, that was the strategy that I used.

By taming the boss of this forest, it was easy for me to tame the rest of the spirit beasts that were here.

In the future, the Star Peak Sect would be known as the holy land of spirit beasts.
