"What’s wrong? Why is your face swollen?" Gao Fu Shuai’s brother asked in a confused voice.

Gao Fu Shuai didn’t even look at him as he looked out into the distance as if he was looking for something, but he did say, "Nothing."

Though he said this, there was a bit of swelling to his face.

One of his cheeks seemed to be swollen, as if he had been hit by something.

She looked at him and saw that he was seriously looking at her when he said this.

The two of them just locked gazes for a bit before turning away as they felt that it was embarrassing to look at each other like this.

Jiang Yu Ning in the end gave a sigh as she said, "You don’t have to try so hard."

Even though she felt happy to see Gao Fu Shuai acting this way, she didn’t think that he actually meant it. She just thought that he was saying this because he was trying to make it seem believable.

The village chief was surprised to hear this, but he gave them their privacy by giving a nod and then moving away from them.

Jiang Yu Ning looked at Gao Fu Shuai with a confused look as she asked, "What’s wrong?"

Jiang Yu Ning looked even more confused and a bit worried when she saw him like this.

But when Gao Fu Shuai saw that worried look that she had, he finally manned up and asked, "I want to confirm your feelings for a bit, is that alright?"

Jiang Yu Ning was even more confused when she heard this.

She looked at him as if she was trying to figure out what he was saying, but she just couldn’t see through his expression.

So in the end, she just gave a simple nod for him to continue.

Gao Fu Shuai took a deep breath and then another one. He had to take several deep breaths before he was able to calm himself enough to ask, "Do you really like me?"
