I looked at Gao Fu Shuai with a surprised look since I never expected him to say this.

After he said this, there was an awkward silence that filled the air as I didn’t know what to say.

Gao Fu Shuai seemed to have noticed that something was off, so he broke the silence by asking, "Young master, is there something wrong?"

Though his voice seemed calm, it was clear that there was worry in his eyes.

I could tell right away that he knew that there was something off about what I had said.

So with a cough, I said, "It’s not that there’s anything wrong. It’s just that I have some business in the area, so I want to take care of it."

Then in a more cheerful voice, I said, "You can also visit your parents since we’re going to that place."

Gao Fu Shuai didn’t seem to believe what I said as he narrowed his eyes to look at me, but I just calmly looked right back at him without flinching.

In the end, it wasn’t either of us that backed down.

In the end, it was Jiang Yu Ning who suddenly said something that broke the tense and awkward silence.

"Big Brother Gao, can I meet your family?"

Everyone immediately turned to look at Jiang Yu Ning when they heard this.

Even Gao Fu Shuai looked at Jiang Yu Ning with a surprised look when he heard this.

Jiang Yu Ning revealed an awkward look when she saw everyone looking at her like this, but she didn’t say anything as she waited for Gao Fu Shuai’s response.

After a while, Gao Fu Shuai said, "Of course you can."

Jiang Yu Ning’s eyes lit up when she heard this, but they soon dimmed once more when she heard what else he had to say.

"I want everyone to meet them since you’re all my important friends." Gao Fu Shuai said to her with a wide smile on his face.

Jiang Yu Ning’s eyes filled with disappointment when she heard this, but she still made herself give a nod and a small smile as she said, "I’m looking forward to it."

Gao Fu Shuai dropped the issue from before and started telling Jiang Yu Ning all about his hometown.

While listening to him, there was a happy smile on Jiang Yu Ning’s face that made the disappointment disappear.

But as we watched them, all of us had the same thing in our mind.

"What a dense idiot!"

That clearly wasn’t what she meant, but this dense idiot didn’t seem to get it.

Speaking of the two of them, it seemed that Gao Fu Shuai still wasn’t aware of Jiang Yu Ning’s feelings for him even after everything that happened. It seemed that he still treated her as a little sister rather than as a potential lover.

It certainly wasn’t because Jiang Yu Ning wasn’t putting the effort in.

She had actually been quite aggressive in showing her love to Gao Fu Shuai, it was just that he was too dense to notice any of it.

It seemed that her mother had been pushing her after seeing how dense Gao Fu Shuai was, but nothing that she did seemed to work. It was as if Gao Fu Shuai was just unable to realize what her feelings were.

That was how dense he was.

There was an urge to beat him up that filled us at the same time, but we held ourselves back.

After he finished talking to Jiang Yu Ning, I walked over and asked him in a low voice, "What do you think of her?"

I hadn’t wanted to interfere, but with things as they were now...it seemed like I should at least give them a push. Or when Jiang Yu Ning met Gao Fu Shuai’s parents, it really would be awkward.

Gao Fu Shuai looked at me with a strange look when he heard this before saying, "What should I think about her?"

I was surprised to hear him say this before thinking that he truly was a dense idiot.

Or at least that was what I thought at first until Gao Fu Shuai asked, "Young master, why are you asking this? Are you interested in her?"

As he asked this, there seemed to be a bit of tension in his voice as if he was worried about something.

When I heard this, I couldn’t help feeling a bit interested.

Until now, it didn’t seem like Gao Fu Shuai was interested in Jiang Yu Ning at all, but now...

Could it be that he wasn’t a dense idiot and was just good at hiding his feelings?

Could it be that without direct provocation, he was someone that would be able to hide it all inside of him until the last moment?

But now that I had asked this question, he actually lost his cool...

It really made me want to tease him even more.

"Huh?" I was surprised and confused when I heard this.

Was he just saying this to try and persuade me to protect his own love, or...?

With a serious look, Gao Fu Shuai said, "Young master, someone like you is suited for beauties like Miss Yue or Miss Mu. I feel that Jiang Yu Ning is a bit below you. At the same time, she has a childish personality that doesn’t suit the young master."

He continued on to list several things that he thought didn’t match between the two of us.

After saying all of this, Gao Fu Shuai said with a serious look, "I really don’t think that Jiang Yu Ning is a good fit for you, young master."
