Chapter 206: Chapter 205: Should I Go Look for Him Again?

Seeing the look on Bella’s face, Sandra Woods sighed, feeling that what she had just said might have been a bit too much.

"Bella, have you eaten yet? Let’s eat together."

Bella shook her head, "No need, I’ve already eaten. Shannon, I think I can catch the last bus if I go to the station now, so I’ll leave first."

"Hold on, I’ll drive you to the station." Sandra picked up her bag, "Mom and Dad, I’ll take Bella to the bus station and won’t be coming back, okay?"

"Alright, you two go ahead. Drive safely." Sandra’s mom nodded and gave her daughter a look, signaling not to mention those earlier words again.

Sandra nodded, and Bella said, "Goodbye, Uncle and Auntie."

As they left the room, Sandra drove Bella to the main bus station.

With only the two of them in the car, it was much easier to talk.

Sandra glanced at Bella, who had red eyes, and asked, "What do you plan to do next? Is this really the end?"

"I don’t know." Bella shook her head, "Shannon, I misunderstood him before. He didn’t have any girl he liked; it was just all in my head."

"What?" Sandra widened her eyes, "So all the issues between you two were just misunderstandings?"

"Yes." Bella nodded, "I came back because I realized it was a misunderstanding, but... but it seems he doesn’t want to see me anymore."

"And then? Did you tell him what you misunderstood?"

"I did."

"What about the child?"

Upon hearing the question, Bella remained silent for a while before whispering, "I didn’t get a chance. Since he doesn’t want to see me anymore, whether I tell him about the child or not doesn’t matter, right?"

"Come on!" Sandra pulled the car over to the side of the road, "You came all the way back here and said nothing, now you want to just run away? Bella, I’m telling you, can you be a bit more courageous?"

"Shannon, I..." Bella looked up at her, about to speak but hesitated.

How should she tell Shannon how Damian’s cold words had hurt her? How could she explain that she never felt confident around him? How could she say that she meticulously treaded in his presence, only hoping to get a little closer so he might take her seriously?

How could she express the inferiority she felt from the very beginning of this relationship?

They were never on equal footing from the start! He was so outstanding, but she was nothing.

She didn’t have the means to stand on equal ground with him. In front of him, all her inferiority and timidity would involuntarily surface.

She was so afraid that one day he would suddenly tell her, "Bella, you don’t deserve to stand by my side, Damian Sinclair." What would she do then?

Sandra sighed, "Bella, you should have more confidence in yourself. You’re great and very likable. Don’t be so self-deprecating. Look, I like you a lot, Senior Quinn likes you a lot. Senior Quinn said the colleagues in the theater group all like you too. If you weren’t good, why would we like you?"

"Shannon..." Bella’s eyes reddened again.

In her moments of helplessness, Shannon always stood by her side, supporting and encouraging her. What kind of good deeds must she have done in her past life to have met such a great friend?

"Think carefully now. If you still decide to go back, I’ll take you to the bus station. Even if there are no buses, I’ll drive you back." Sandra said earnestly, "If you want to find him, I’ll take you there now."
