Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 156 - 155: Unable to Help Wanting to Protect Her
Archer Quinn’s childhood friend spoke, reaching out to wrap his arm around Bella Acker’s shoulder.
Bella instinctively shrank back to avoid it.
Archer Quinn stepped sideways and moved forward slightly, putting Bella behind him and blocking his friend’s outstretched hand, "Don’t mess around, Bella’s just here to take a look."
"Bella?" Archer’s friend was a bit surprised, "Joelle, you know her?"
"Yeah." Archer nodded, "She’s kind of a junior sister."
"Oh, I see." Archer’s friend smiled and extended his hand, "Hi junior sister, my name is Kevin Locke. Sorry if I startled you."
"No, no, it’s not so easy to scare me." Bella smiled and shook his hand, "Hello, Brother Locke."
"Hey, if junior sister weren’t someone you knew, I’d definitely make a move tonight." Kevin Locke joked, "I’m quite taken with junior sister."
"Don’t fool around." Archer subconsciously frowned, feeling a bit unhappy. His friend was always full of sweet talk around girls, and he’s seen how many girls have fallen for it.
Archer used to just laugh it off without caring. But now that Kevin was teasing Bella this way, Archer felt inexplicably uncomfortable, and he didn’t even know why himself.
Was his reaction a bit too much when Kevin was clearly just joking?
Kevin Locke was also a bit surprised when Archer said this, but he quickly laughed it off, throwing Archer a knowing glance, and said to Bella, "Junior sister, let me tell you, Joelle is great in every way, but his thinking is too old-fashioned. Have you ever heard of someone who still likes to write letters in this day and age? Joelle does."
"Really?" Bella Acker widened her eyes in surprise.
"Of course it’s true." Kevin Locke enthusiastically exposed his friend’s secrets, "Let me tell you, he doesn’t even know how to use a copier, or a washing machine, and I had to teach him how to use a fax machine. Tsk, tsk, in this day and age... someone like him should be living in the Stone Age."
"Hahaha, I didn’t expect Senior Quinn to be so... so... clueless." Bella laughed uncontrollably, looking at Archer Quinn with sympathy.
Archer felt a bit helpless, "Bella, don’t listen to his nonsense."
"It’s not nonsense." Kevin Locke said with a smile, "Junior sister, if you want to hear more of Joelle’s embarrassing stories, let’s set a time to hang out, and I’ll tell you all about them."
"Okay, okay!" Bella nodded happily, quickly warming up to Kevin Locke, feeling that he was fun to be around and very easygoing.
Archer Quinn watched Bella chatting happily with Kevin Locke, completely ignoring him, and suddenly felt a bit of jealousy.
Why was he feeling jealous? Archer was taken aback.
Kevin Locke lightly bumped into his shoulder, grinning mischievously, "Hey, Mr. Incorruptible, are you finally feeling human emotions?"
Regaining his composure, Archer realized Bella had turned to chat with Sharon Cheney and Elaine Vaughn. He gave a faint smile and said, "Bella’s not the kind of girl you can mess around with."
"Is it because junior sister’s not the type to mess with, or is it because you’ve set your eyes on her, so no one else can?" Kevin Locke raised an eyebrow, "Joelle, I thought you liked the ethereal fairy type, when did your taste suddenly change?"
