Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 143 - 142: Teasing
Bella looked at Damian Sinclair.
Damian nodded, "Okay."
"Come on, come sit over here, Mr. Sinclair." Elaine Vaughn glanced at Bella and invited Damian over.
Sharon Cheney and Bella fell a few steps behind.
Bella pursed her lips, unsure of how to explain to Ms. Cheney why Damian would be here.
Sharon patted her arm with a smile, comforting her, "It’s alright."
"Ms. Cheney, I..."
Sharon smiled and interrupted her, "Let’s eat first."
"Okay." Bella had no choice but to nod.
The four of them sat down, Elaine really ordered a hot pot, and even grabbed two bottles of cocktails and beer from the studio fridge, "Mr. Sinclair, do you drink beer?"
"I’m okay with anything." Damian took the beer.
Elaine laughed, "Alright! We two will have beer, and they can have this."
Sharon had already started to unpack the packaged meals and soup from the food boxes, which looked and smelled great, still steaming hot.
Elaine opened the drinks and said, "On a cold winter night, for the four of us to gather here, it’s fate. Come, let’s have a drink."
Sharon smiled and added, "Thanks to President Sinclair for bringing Bella back."
Bella clutched her beer bottle, secretly glancing at Damian’s expression. He usually doesn’t like social drinking with others, would he directly refuse Ms. Flynn and Ms. Cheney?
While she was worrying about how to smooth things over later, Damian had already picked up his beer and said, "I should thank you both for taking care of Bella at the filming set. Ms. Cheney, Ms. Flynn, thank you."
Huh?
Bella’s mind froze for several seconds, completely clueless on how to react.
She slightly parted her lips, dumbfoundedly staring at Damian.
Sharon and Elaine exchanged glances, seeing the surprise in each other’s eyes.
Sharon was even more astonished that Damian so openly acknowledged his relationship with Bella.
Elaine was the first to respond, "Bella is naturally likable, we didn’t really take care of her, Mr. Sinclair is too polite."
Bella shook her head first, "Not at all. If it weren’t for Ms. Flynn helping me, this trouble wouldn’t have happened, it’s all my fault."
"Silly girl, I would have spoken up even if it were someone else being bullied that day, don’t take it to heart." Elaine laughed, "I’m just straightforward, can’t stand seeing injustice without stepping in."
Sharon also laughed, "Elaine has always been like this. Don’t talk about those things, let’s eat."
"Exactly, no need to mention those mood-killers." Elaine said, "Mr. Sinclair, I toast to you."
Damian didn’t talk much with them but maintained a courteous attitude, unlike his usual aloof demeanor with others. Whenever Elaine and Sharon spoke to him, he would always respond.
Bella watched from the side, feeling much more at ease.
She originally thought it would be awkward for the four of them to stay together, but didn’t expect it to be unexpectedly harmonious and natural.
Perhaps he didn’t want her to feel awkward, so he’s being patient in interacting with Ms. Cheney and Ms. Flynn?
Bella thought, sneaking another glance at Damian, feeling a bit sweet inside.
"Damian, try some lamb, it’s so tender and doesn’t taste gamey at all." Bella cheerfully picked up a piece of lamb and placed it in Damian’s bowl.
Elaine teased with a smile, "Oh, Bella only serves food for Mr. Sinclair, not for us. Indeed, auntie and everything isn’t as important as that special someone!"
