Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 124 - 123: Worry and Leave Request
Bella Acker shouted while stomping her feet, hurriedly rinsing off the bubbles from her body, then wrapped herself in a bathrobe and quickly burrowed into the bed.
Sharon Cheney put down the book in her hand, "The water’s cold?"
Bella Acker, wrapped in the blanket, poked her head out and sniffled pitifully, "Yeah, I think we ran out of hot water."
Sharon Cheney chuckled, boiled some water, and made her a cup of ginger tea, "Quick, drink this to ward off the cold so you don’t catch a cold tomorrow."
"Thank you, Ms. Cheney." Bella Acker held the teacup, took two sips of the ginger tea, and gradually warmed up, "Ms. Cheney, how’s Ms. Flynn doing?"
"Ah, she just rushed back to the country, currently trying to find connections and ways to help," Sharon Cheney replied. "I’ll call tomorrow to check on the situation."
Bella Acker was silent, holding the teacup.
This issue with Ms. Flynn started because of her; she couldn’t just stand aside. President Lloyd wasn’t able to help, and no one else she knew could challenge Lynch Group. Does she really have no choice but to seek his help?
Bella Acker really didn’t want any more involvement with Damian Sinclair, but it seemed there was no other way to resolve Ms. Flynn’s issue without turning to him.
Sharon Cheney saw her lost in thought and comforted her, "Don’t worry too much. There’s always a solution to every problem." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Ms. Flynn’s situation started because of me. If it weren’t for me, she wouldn’t have lashed out at Vivi," Bella Acker sighed.
"Elaine Vaughn has always had a straightforward personality, and she despises those seniors who bully newcomers. Anyone else would have done the same that day. Don’t feel burdened by this," Sharon Cheney reassured.
Bella Acker knew this was meant to be reassuring, but even if Ms. Flynn was straightforward, if Vivi hadn’t been the one bullied that day, Ms. Flynn likely wouldn’t have directly exposed Vivi’s scandal, leading her to harbor resentment and cause trouble.
Just wait a little longer; if Ms. Flynn’s studio crisis isn’t resolved in a couple of days, she will...
"Ms. Cheney..."
Just as she spoke, Sharon Cheney interrupted her, "Don’t overthink it, go to sleep early. You have to get up early for makeup tomorrow."
"Okay, you should sleep early too, Ms. Cheney." Bella Acker snuggled back into the bed, though she was exhausted from filming today, her mind was consumed with Ms. Flynn’s issues, making it impossible to fall asleep.
If possible, she really didn’t want to seek Damian Sinclair’s help. But in all of Creston, there’s hardly anyone other than him who can handle Jaden Lynch, who fears Damian Sinclair the most.
Bella Acker reached under her pillow to grab her phone, entered the familiar phone number she knew by heart into her contacts. She hesitated at the name field for a long time, but ultimately deleted the entire number once more. In a fit of frustration, she stuffed the phone back under the pillow and covered her head, forcing herself to sleep.
Over the following days, not only did the situation at Ms. Flynn’s studio not improve, but it became increasingly dire.
A couple of her studio’s artists couldn’t withstand the pressure and temptation, choosing to terminate their contracts and join other agencies.
Every day, Sharon Cheney worried about Elaine Vaughn, meanwhile reaching out to some contacts. Some were willing to help by offering resources, but it was only a drop in the ocean.
After filming that day, Sharon Cheney went to see Director Ford, and Bella Acker, worried, followed along.
Sharon Cheney said, "Old Ford, I’d like to take a few days off to go back to Creston and check on Elaine."
Director Ford nodded, "Your solo scenes are almost wrapped up, and the rest are opposite Archer. He won’t be joining the cast for a few days, so there’s no rush. Go to Creston and have a look."
Bella Acker immediately stepped forward, "Director Ford, I’d like to request leave as well!"
