"Whoosh~" A few feathered arrows flew in on the strong wind, instantly killing the guards at the entrance of the hill.

Laine and the others sneaked into the camp along the sparse forest.

Laine, Jerald, Teresa, Veronica, and Alfred followed behind; they weren't skilled at this sort of thing.

Under the dark curtain of night, Estelle and Des could see as clearly as daylight, slowly advancing with the cover of bushes and trees. Due to the strong wind, their sounds were almost inaudible.

The camp constructing the siege tower was getting closer. Two low-level Vampires were whispering to each other. They stood on a slope at the back of the hill, watching everything that passed by. After scouting around, everyone found this place where the defense was weakest; beyond the hill lay the interior of the camp.

Estelle held up two fingers, indicating two.

Des pulled up his green mask, shook his head, and then made a gesture.

Low-level Vampires were difficult to kill with a single arrow through the head; they encountered trouble.

At this moment, Alfred sneaked up.

The Paladin took out a flask from his bag and stuffed it into Estelle's hand, gesturing to use it.

Estelle gently unscrewed the cap, revealing a stream of exceptionally clear water, faintly glowing.

It's Church Holy Water! Estelle smiled and gave Alfred a thumbs up. The two Half-Elves applied the Holy Water to the arrowheads.

They only had one chance.

Filled with power, Estelle squinted his eyes, nocked the arrow smeared with Holy Water on the bowstring, and drew his recurve bow to a full moon. The Half-Elf carefully considered the angle, position, wind force, and humidity.

The strong wind blew through the forest, and the sound of leaves rustling reached Estelle's ears. He and Des felt a comfort and slight intoxication. As Rangers, they are solitary, accompanying the forest all day. With Laine's help, they tried hard to integrate into human society, but sometimes they still enjoyed the feeling of being one with the forest.

They are people of the forest.

"Whoosh~" The two arrows pierced through the fierce wind, striking the Vampire Guards.

"Arghhh!" The Vampire Guard could feel its body pierced by the arrows. As it attempted to call out that there were enemies, a corrosive sensation instantly filled all its senses. It let out a low howl, its face grimacing, as a large hole corroded into its chest where the arrow struck. The arrowhead pierced its heart, and Holy Water scorched its black blood.

The Vampire Guard tried hard to reach and pull out the arrow, but just as its hands grasped the arrow shaft outside its body, it already turned into a dry corpse.

Another Vampire Guard was shot through the throat. It tried hard to make a sound, but the Holy Water scattered over its throat completely destroyed its voice apparatus. The pure Holy Water corroded the Vampire Guard like concentrated sulfuric acid, burning its body to char, emitting white smoke and stench.

A Longsword pierced through its chest from behind, the holy energy on the blade evaporating its internal organs.

Alfred fiercely pulled the Longsword from the Vampire Guard's body. In some aspects, the Paladin was very firm, namely, that Undead, Green Skin, Chaos Creatures, these things were not deserving of sympathy: "Hey, Mr. Estelle, your shot wasn't very accurate."

"It's wearing chest armor." Estelle pointed at the Vampire Guard.

Alfred awkwardly smiled, extended his hand to apologize.

The group smoothly entered the camp.

Inside the camp, many torches illuminated the camp's interior. Late into the night, there were still a few construction activities ongoing; the Vampires were manufacturing three siege towers and two siege vehicles.

The camp's interior was filled with construction material storage, piles of large quantities of timber, stone, and clay haphazardly stored within the camp. Laine and the others hid behind a pile of hardwood, carefully observing the camp's movements.

"It's Estalia's Mercenary Corps, they've accepted the Vampire's employment to serve the Undead." Teresa recognized the Mercenary Corps patrolling within the camp. She leaned beside Laine, speaking softly, the female sorcerer had changed into a combat-ready black leather outfit, holding a purple Magic Staff in her hand: "These Desperadoes don't care who their service targets are; as long as there's money, they're willing to do anything."

"Ace, can you and Des still snipe those solitary mercenaries?" Laine carefully calculated the distance.

Veronica would summon a blazing meteorite to completely destroy these siege weapons, but she needed to get within at least three hundred meters from the siege towers. As for Laine and the others, their task was to cover Veronica.

Currently, they were about five hundred meters away from the location of the siege weapons; they still needed to get closer.

"No, without the cover of trees, it's easy to be discovered by the mercenaries." Estelle shook his head.

"Then it's very difficult for us to get within three hundred meters." Laine looked at a small squad of mercenaries only about twenty meters away, all trained professional soldiers equipped with fine gear. Everyone wore chain armor, some even had the money to equip arm guards and chest armor. Their weapons were diverse: sword and shield, War Axe, long halberd, morning star, crossbow; judging from their looks, it wouldn't be easy to take them down immediately: "Alright, reaching this place is already quite an accomplishment. Brothers, prepare for battle."
