Warhammer Divine Throne-Chapter 547 - 238, Against the Vampire Count_2
Thus Laine also tested: "What a glorious day, having just completed a holy pilgrimage, Lily Flower Island witnessed the glory of the former king. The Lady has brought me such an opponent, Vampire, accept my challenge! The Lady's Divine Chosen Champion, Laine Macado, challenges you!"
After speaking, Laine took out a white glove from his coat and threw it towards Manfred.
Damn! It's a Chivalry Syndrome patient! The Vampire Count knew there must be a battle between him and Laine. Manfred raised his sword: "I don't want to fight you, Holy Grail Knight!"
"For the Lady!" Laine didn't care about anything else. He seemed like a young reckless hot-blooded youth, raising his Warhammer and charging towards Manfred.
It seemed this Holy Grail Knight didn't know about Mogiana's matter. At this point, the Vampire Count had no choice. Manfred directly chanted a powerful Spell, a violent red-black energy surged from before him, then charged directly towards Laine's position.
Nagash's Gaze!
Laine swiftly dodged, avoiding this violent Magical Energy. Undead Magic blasted a large pit into the forest's ground, and all shrubbery and trees within a meter of where the spell landed turned charred black.
Laine turned around, appearing unaware. The Lady's Divine Chosen Champion strode quickly towards Manfred's position, crossing the several dozen meters in the blink of an eye.
The cunning Vampire Count only now realized that Laine truly didn't know about Mogiana's matter. If he was protecting something, he certainly wouldn't let the spell explode. Manfred roared madly: "Yield your head, Holy Grail Knight!"
"Die, Midnight Noble!" Laine's Warhammer, shining with white flames, slammed directly towards Manfred's chest, unleashing unparalleled power.
Manfred hurriedly counterattacked, as the Blade of Profanity clashed with the Warhammer, the formidable force from the sword blade made the Vampire Count realize he couldn't take it head-on. He hastily retreated a few steps, then chanted a Death Element Spell: "Dark Despair!"
This is an advanced spell mastered by Vampires. Its soul releases powerful energy, intimidating enemies, eroding morale, spreading panic.
"Mage Dispel!" Laine raised his left hand, pale blue Spiritual Energy gathered out, disrupting the magical structure Manfred was forming. Then taking advantage of the interruption, he closed in again. The Warhammer swept across, forcing Manfred to roll aside, as a giant tree with decades of age was directly shattered by Laine, crashing down with a rumble.
Such a powerful Holy Grail Knight! Seeing this scene, Manfred felt a tightening in his heart. He had only heard of Laine's name not long ago and initially didn't pay special attention.
The Vampire Count had lived for thousands of years and faced countless strong enemies, naturally having fought Holy Grail Knights before. But such a powerful Holy Grail Knight he encountered for the first time. Manfred swung the hooked scythe horizontally, aiming directly at Laine's neck, then the Blade of Profanity stabbed diagonally upward from the lower right toward Laine's left chest, about to pierce through Laine.
Laine swung out his left hand, directly grabbing the hooked scythe. His Warhammer hit the sword blade of the Blade of Profanity with such force that Manfred struggled to hold his sword. Laine's Warhammer went upward, intending to strike Manfred's head.
But the Vampire Count chanted the next spell: "Curse of Time!"
Manfred spoke an ancient Spell, containing countless grievances of dead souls against the living and jealousy. Laine didn't dare take it head-on, having to abandon his offense, immediately dodging aside. The purple-black spell spewed from Manfred's mouth, flew past Laine's ribs, hitting a large tree.
The following scene amazed Laine. The flourishing tree, in the eyes of the Holy Grail Knight, rapidly aged, dried up, decayed, broke, turning into a dead tree.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Manfred chanted another spell, Seventh-Ring Undead Magic, Summon Undead.
There were no corpses in the forest, the Vampire Count couldn't summon a Zombie Legion or Skeleton Legion to fight for him. But it was fine. Manfred von Castain mastered all Necromancy. He was surrounded by Necromantic Energy, and even the bones of dead animals and Forest Essence were uprooted at his call, detached from the trees.
He was about to summon Stone Tomb Binding Spirit and Spirit-Binding Knight! 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Of course, Laine wouldn't let him succeed. The Divine Chosen Champion drew his Goddess of Revenge from his back, raising it to the sky: "Group Dispel!"
The shining Light of Spiritual Power swept through the spirit army summoned by the Vampire Count. The enslaved animal spirits and essences immediately escaped Manfred's binding, scattering away.
Damn it! Akhan didn't tell me there was a Holy Grail Knight who could dispel magic! Manfred's efforts failed. The Vampire Count gritted his teeth, his silver eyes staring intently at Laine who was confronting him.
"Ugh!" The Vampire Count angrily roared again and engaged in battle with Laine. The Blade of Profanity formed a dim light at a speed almost invisible to the naked eye, continuously stabbing towards Laine.
"For the Lady!" Laine wielded the hammer in one hand and the sword in the other. He roared like a male lion, fully displaying his combat skills. The white flames on the Goddess of Revenge burned fiercely, bearing power and holiness that the Vampire couldn't face directly. Sometimes lightning burst, sometimes flames spurted from the Warhammer, sometimes a whirlwind surrounded it.
