War of Roses: The Proud Tycoon,Please Surrender!-Chapter 304: Wang Qi and You Shuyang
Wang Qi patted his chest to calm himself.
"Damn, I just made a joke, you didn’t have to retaliate like that! Or did I accidentally hit the mark and you’re angry from embarrassment!"
You Shuyang retorted, "Angry from embarrassment? I’m just scared by your narcissism. Me having a crush on you? Don’t kid yourself. With a fierce woman like you, who would dare like you."
"How dare you call me fierce!"
"What, am I not allowed to tell the truth?"
"The truth?" Wang Qi gritted his teeth, wishing he could strangle him, "You Shuyang, remember what you said today. Don’t come around and slap yourself in the face someday."
"Don’t worry, I won’t!"
You Shuyang said this but felt a pang of guilt.
Of course, on some later day, he really did slap himself in the face.
Smack smack smack, it sounded crisp and clear.
The car stopped downstairs at Wang Qi’s house, "Go on in, I’ll watch you go inside before leaving."
"So sweet?" Wang Qi unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to look at him.
"Actually, there’s something I haven’t told you."
"What is it?"
Wang Qi smiled, shimmering lights passing through her eyes as she looked at him.
"I’ve already lost feelings for Yan Shuo, but now, it seems like I’ve started to like someone else."
You Shuyang was stunned, "You already have someone you like?!"
"Sort of." She couldn’t be completely sure yet.
You Shuyang was silent for a moment and then asked, "Can I ask who... he is?"
"Sure." Wang Qi nodded, but under You Shuyang’s hopeful gaze, she added, "You can ask, but I might not tell you."
You Shuyang, "..." don’t keep people in suspense like this.
He really wanted to know who that person was, the one who’d caught her attention.
Wang Qi looked at his expression, as if he were constipated, secretly laughing to herself.
She said, "I can’t be completely certain yet, but once I am, you’ll be the first to know."
She pushed open the car door and got out, "Go home early, drive safe, see you tomorrow."
You Shuyang watched her walk away, and then suddenly slapped his own head in frustration.
By the time she was sure, what else would he need to know!
When things became a settled fact, how could he change them!
Not giving anyone a chance at all, damn!
You Shuyang was, after all, smart. Once he combined his complex and unusual feelings, everything became clear.
For the first time in his life, his heart was moved by a woman, but that woman had her heart set on someone else.
Damn! Talk about frustrating.
After watching Wang Qi enter the house, You Shuyang started the car and drove away.
Wang Qi returned to her room, opened the window, and looked out, but You Shuyang’s car was already gone.
Thinking about the words she’d said to You Shuyang, she still felt a little nervous.
She never thought there would be a day when she’d start liking this big assistant.
Before, she always had a problem with him, never showing him a good face. Probably, it was under such circumstances that she unknowingly changed.
She remembered when Gu Yan had just left Tang Yuxiu and went far away, losing touch. When she went to confront Tang Yuxiu, she initially slapped him but You Shuyang blocked it.
She was particularly angry at that time, but didn’t feel guilty at all. Instead, she felt that no one with Tang Yuxiu was any good. She found them all unpleasant, and a slap was well-deserved.
He actually had a bit of a masculine air, not holding anything against her.
Then that night, there was a class reunion. She didn’t want to go initially, but her classmates insisted, so she couldn’t refuse and went.
Because she was in a bad mood, she didn’t talk much and drank on the side.
She drank a lot; she rarely got drunk, but that was one time.
When leaving, she declined her classmates’ offers to see her off. After washing her face in the restroom to sober up a bit, she planned to go back by herself but ran into a rascal.
She was too drunk, had no strength, and lacked patience and energy. Just then, You Shuyang appeared.
Only afterwards did she know he was there for a meeting and happened to encounter her, stepping in to help as a result.
Not to mention that they were colleagues from the same company.
Although she slapped him, he couldn’t be petty. In such a situation, he had to save her.
He indeed saved her, but she was drunk, her senses dulled by alcohol.
All the way, You Shuyang supported her as she staggered.
He asked where she lived, but she babbled nonsensically without giving a proper answer.
You Shuyang had no choice but to take her to his own home.
You Shuyang was a man of integrity. Even bringing home a drunk woman, a beautiful one at that, he had no improper thoughts, only hoping she’d sober up quickly and leave.
He tossed her onto the bed, but she wasn’t quiet, moving around and sweating, her face reddened.
He could only get a towel and cold water to wipe her face and other parts exposed to the air. She kept moving, and after wiping her once, he was sweating himself, but this woman was too troublesome.
He just went to pour a glass of water, stow the basin and towel, only to come back and see she’d rolled off the bed!
And she seemed to not react at all...
You Shuyang was speechless!
He picked her up and put her back on the bed, but she rolled off again...
You Shuyang, "..."
After several times, You Shuyang got fed up and angry, simply lying down and holding her in his arms to keep her in place!
She struggled for a while, seemed to realize she couldn’t break free, and stopped moving, gradually sleeping peacefully without causing further trouble.
You Shuyang let out a long breath, feeling almost exhausted! This was harder than when Young Master Tang asked him to find Gu Yan’s whereabouts in one day!
He was sweaty, feeling uncomfortable, wanting to get up, shower, and settle for a night on the living room couch.
But just as he moved, Wang Qi clung to him like an octopus. When he tried to push her away, she wouldn’t let go, holding onto him tightly.
You Shuyang tried several times in vain, finally letting her be out of helplessness.
He was too tired, didn’t feel like moving much.
Since that was the case, he gave himself an indisputable reason to lay back and relax.
Then, unconsciously, while just relaxing, You Shuyang fell asleep as well.
The important part was that they were holding each other as they slept!
The next morning, Wang Qi’s scream shattered the peace throughout the building, followed by a "thud" as someone dramatically fell to the floor.
"You Shuyang, seeing you usually look so proper, I didn’t expect you to be like this! You’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing!" Wang Qi clutched a blanket, angrily scolding him.
You Shuyang was extremely frustrated, rubbing his elbow and butt where he’d fallen painfully, "Girl, last night you were drunk and bullied, if I hadn’t saved you, you wouldn’t be here now! Don’t you know to thank your savior!"
