Void Cultivation-Chapter 214- Refining the Soul Weapon
In silence, Grey sat down and pondered. Eventually, when the moon was out and high in the sky. Grey opened his eyes. His eyes were clear, but the silhouette of a dark phantom could be seen in the depths of his eyes.
In the end, Grey was not afraid. From the very beginning, cultivating always had risks. Grey had to suffer and go through a lot before he arrived at where he was right now.
He had to go through a lot of life changing experiences and even several life-and-death situations.
All this made him into the person that he was now. And not even a strange and bizarre art could stop him from progressing. Especially seeing how effective it was in opening spirit perforations.
However, Grey felt that he could not cultivate the Soul Severing Dao any time soon. Right now, his sea of consciousness was in disarray and his fragile soul was trembling.
Grey was worried that if he tried to severe his soul again, it would fall apart. Then, he would truly die.
However, that only made Grey more suspicious of the art. Yet, he didn’t have any more clues and could only leave the question hanging in his heart.
Slowly, time trickled by. Soon, several hours passed. A soft moonlight fell upon the entrance of the cave. Inside the cave, Grey could be seen sitting down cross-legged with a calm expression on his face.
Slowly, his eyes flew open.
"Since I’ve gotten the cultivation arts I wanted, it’s best to no longer postpone this matter." Grey said softly.
He recalled the memory of the purple crystal breaking when he broke through to the Foundation Establishment realm. He also remembered the series of events that had happened before and after that.
The loud ravings that echoed in his ears and threatened to unravel his cultivation base. His fragmented memories, and so much more. The fog that clung to his memories and made him not to recall anything before he awakened.
All these things were mysterious that had appeared after he awakened. And Grey had been very curious about all these things. But that time, he was weak and could barely survive in such a chaotic world.
He could only ruthlessly kill those within his power, and hide from those that could snuff out his life with a single breath.
However, things had changed now. He could now begin to slowly unravel the mysterious that had surrounded his past and his life.
However, the first thing that Grey did was not to inspect the purple crystal, instead, he brought out a storage bag from his storage ring. This storage bag had been in another storage bag and had been suppressing the malignant aura within.
The moment Grey brought it out, his shadow which had been silent for days suddenly moved. A bit stunned, Grey turned his head and could see that his shadow was shivering slightly in fear.
However, when it noticed that it was being stared at by Grey, it’s trembling stopped and it looked at Grey with a vile expression on its face. Like it was looking at him with an expression of disdain. Grey saw this and did not say anything. He only poured some of his spirit power into the broken purple shards in his chest and sent out a suppressive force to the shadow.
The moment the suppression appeared, the shadow trembled. But Grey did not stop. He suppressed the shadow till it was shaking and trembling intensely. Only then did he take his gaze away.
Grey returned his attention to the storage bag.
Several months ago, when Grey had entered the Pocket Dimension and had been ambushed by the Chubby Bao, he had nearly died under the siege of his soul weapons.
One of them in particular was very close to killing Grey. And he only managed to live due to his quick thinking. If he had been a second slower in sealing the weapon in his storage bag, Grey would be dead for sure.
Nothing in the world could have saved him.
As Grey felt the intense fluctuations coming from inside the storage bag, he couldn’t help but let out a heavy sigh.
"Several months ago, I had nearly been killed by this soul weapon. It’s only by luck that I’m still alive..." As Grey said this, the image of the chubby Bao appeared in his mind.
Killing intent immediately appeared, but Grey quickly suppressed it. The captain and Bao and acquaintances, so Grey decided that he wouldn’t kill him just yet. He would have to wait for the perfect opportunity. By now, the other party would also be a Foundation Establishment realm cultivator like him. And would have many aces up his sleeve as well.
Hence, Grey did not rush. And wanted to prepare himself. First, he wanted to refine the soul weapon that had almost killed him. At that time, the power it exuded was exceptionally close to the Foundation Establishment realm. If Grey had tried what he wanted to do before, he would have died without even knowing how.
Soon, Grey released the seal on the storage bag and instantly activated his Special Brilliance form. At the same time that this happened, a shocking presence suddenly erupted from the storage bag.
Grey’s eyes narrowed as he prepared for what was coming. A moment later, a flash of purple appeared and closed in on Grey. Grey’s expression turned serious as he used fhe power of all twenty-nine spirit perforations and caught the incoming weapon with his bare hand.
A moment later, Grey could be seen holding the sharp purple blade of a long scythe. This scythe exuded a malicious and murderous intent. However, Grey’s fingers were like clamps that refused to open.
However, even though Grey was calm, sweat actually flowed down from the side of his head. Drops of crimson also fell from his hands and stained his robes.
Without wasting any more time, Grey began to refine the purple scythe into his weapon.
