Void Cultivation-Chapter 186- The Foundation Establishment Realm (14)
As Grey stood in the sky high above Green City, he spread out his perception which had now turned into his divine sense through the whole city. Before, his perception could probably cover half of the city. But now that Grey had entered the Foundation Establishment Realm, had formed his first ball of Spirit Fire, and could now unleash his Special Brilliance form, the range of his divine sense was very wide.
It only took a few moments before Grey located the old man. His gaze was cold and aloof as he marked the location. But his gaze soon turned gentle as he glanced at Roxanne, who stood by his side. Throughout this time, Roxanne had not said a single word. Grey knew it was because she was still confused as to how the divine flames were no longer present in his body. But in spite of her confusion, she still decided to follow Grey. That made Grey regard her to some extent.
"I will be gone shortly to take care of a problem. When I’m back, you can decide whether you still want to follow me... or leave."
Immediately after Grey retracted his gaze from her, his expression turned cold. He let out a silent harrumph and walked steadily toward Green City.
His footsteps were slow and steady as he descended from the cloudy skies. Yet even if someone looked up at the moment, they would not be able to see him. Even cultivators with an impressive level of cultivation in the Qi Accumulation Realm would not be able to sense his presence. That was because Grey was no longer circulating spirit energy in his body.
His body was filled with spirit power instead, and that spirit power was what he would use to ignite the ball of Spirit Fire within him and manifest his Special Brilliance form.
As for the reason no one could see him, the reason was simple. His cultivation level was higher than many below, and he could choose to remain invisible to their sight.
Grey continued walking until he was just at the level of the clouds. His expression was nonchalant until he suddenly turned his head to the side. His eyes narrowed into a glint as the sound of something cutting through the wind at rapid speed entered his ears.
When the sound stopped, a young woman appeared before Grey. Her hair was white, and her body was very curvaceous. She had a cute face that would make most men’s hearts race. She also wore a plain black robe that contrasted with her white hair, giving people the feeling that she was the illusion of an ethereal beauty.
She stood several meters away from Grey, but Grey felt as if the distance between them was continuously widening. That strange feeling made a frown appear on his face as he scrutinized the woman before him.
From the moment the woman arrived, she had been cautiously watching Grey. But once she saw that he did not make any sudden movements or actions, she opened her mouth to speak.
"Fellow cultivator, what are you doing here? If you are here for the treasure that appeared several days ago, then you are already late because it has been carried away by someone else."
When the woman’s voice entered Grey’s ears, his expression first showed confusion, then something more complex.
"I have no knowledge of whatever treasure you speak of. Neither did I come for any treasure. I have a matter that I need to attend to. After I am done, I will leave this city," Grey said in an aloof voice. Although he was confused about what treasure was found here, he truly did not have any interest in the treasure. He did not even know that a treasure appeared here several days ago. Even if he had known, he wouldn’t have looked for it.
When the woman heard his words, her expression was full of doubt. Energy fluctuations rippled slightly around her. "Fellow cultivator, if you are not here for the treasure, what are you here for? Did you come to kill someone?" she asked in an uncertain voice.
Grey did not say anything, but the narrow glint in his eyes made it extremely clear what he wanted to do. When the young lady saw this, he expression turned pensive.
"I’m sorry, fellow cultivator, but this city is now under the jurisdiction of the nearby sect located not too far away. You cannot kill anyone here... yet, as they are still members of this city."
Even though she was still talking, Grey did not take note of her words and continued walking down as if he could not hear her. His gaze had already left her as he looked toward the city below him.
When the young lady saw this, her eyes turned into narrow slits as her expression changed several times. She could not believe that Grey would ignore her even after she had spoken politely. Very soon, anger appeared in her eyes.
"Then don’t blame me for doing this!" After saying that, she opened her mouth and blew lightly. A seven-colored fog drifted out from her mouth. The moment the seven-colored fog appeared, the woman’s aura changed drastically, forcing Grey to look at her.
His expression turned into a frown. When the seven-colored fog appeared, the woman opened her hand and clenched at the air. She then brought out an item from her storage ring. The item she brought out was a multicolored bottle. That bottle was completely transparent, yet it let out a tantalizing smell that was enough to hypnotize anyone who perceived it.
The moment that happened, the seven-colored fog flew toward him at rapid speed. At the same time, the small transparent bottle enlarged to a size comparable to a human. When the transparent bottle enlarged, it released energy fluctuations that made Grey realize that it was a magic artifact.
The transparent bottle made a swooshing sound in the air as it appeared behind the seven-colored fog. With both of them rushing toward Grey with threatening presences, his pupils shrank. He saw the young lady glaring at him with an expression full of anger and hate. That sudden change in emotion made Grey pause. The way her emotions changed was just... too bizarre.
