Virtual Reality Cultivator-Chapter 49: The Hidden Truth
Chapter 49 - 49: The Hidden Truth
BOOOOM!
From a distance, Ethan and his team watched as the underground city of Zenith collapsed completely. A massive hole yawned in the ground, swallowing the entire experimental facility that had been hidden beneath the real world.
However, Ethan did not feel relieved.
This was not over.
Zenith might have lost one of its largest bases, but he knew such a large organization surely had a backup plan.
Claire was looking at her tablet screen, her expression serious. "Vincent, did you get all the data from the system before the city was destroyed?"
Vincent spoke through the comms, his voice a little strained. "Yes... But there's a problem. I could only save some of the data before their main server was wiped."
Ethan stared at the screen, seeing the fragments of files that had been salvaged.
There, several keywords immediately caught his attention:
[TITAN PROJECT - STAGE 2]**[COORDINATES: ******][PIONEER EXPERIMENT]
Ethan squinted. "Stage 2? So Titan wasn't their last project?"
Lazarus nodded. "Zenith is always one step ahead. If Titan failed... they must have something worse planned."
Adrian leaned against the ship's wall, trying to hold back the pain from their earlier battle. "Damn... I thought we gave them a crushing blow. But it looks like we've only uncovered a small part of the game."
Ethan clenched his fists. "I won't stop until Zenith is completely destroyed."
Claire tapped the screen a few more times, trying to decrypt the coordinates they had. After a few moments, a world map appeared, with a red dot blinking on a very remote area.
"What is this...?"
Vincent sighed. "I just checked these coordinates. This isn't just some secret base."
He paused for a moment before continuing.
"This is the location where they kept information on the 'Pioneer Project'—an experiment that might be directly related to Ethan."
Everyone fell silent.
Ethan's heart began to race. "An experiment related to me?"
Lazarus looked at him. "Maybe it's time for you to learn the truth about your origins."
Ethan took a deep breath.
"Then we're going there."
New Objective: Zenith's Secret Facility
After several hours of travel, their stealth ship finally reached the vast ocean covered in thick fog.
Claire read the data from Vincent. "According to this information, the location we're looking for is on an island that's not listed on any map. Zenith has hidden this place with advanced camouflage technology."
Adrian looked out the window. "I don't see anything... just ocean and fog."
Vincent spoke from the control room. "Hold on. I'm trying to hack their camouflage system..."
BZZZT!
Suddenly, something large appeared on the radar screen.
"Oh my god... That's no ordinary island."
Ethan looked outside, his eyes widening.
From behind the fog, a massive structure almost like a floating city began to appear. This was not just a laboratory facility, but also defensive towers, automated security systems, and a harbor filled with small warships.
Claire muttered, "This... is their main fortress."
Lazarus looked at Ethan. "Do you still want to proceed?"
Ethan clenched his fists. "I have to get in there. I need to know the truth about who I really am."
Claire nodded. "Then we'll infiltrate it. But this place is much more guarded than the underground city. We can't just waltz in."
Vincent typed quickly on their system. "I can hack part of their defense system, but we have little time before they realize it. We need to move fast."

Ethan sighed. "Alright. We'll sneak in. Find their data center and uncover everything."
Adrian grinned. "Alright, let's start a new Chapter in this war."
They all prepared themselves, knowing the next battle would be far harder than the last.
And inside that fortress, the answers about Ethan's past... and Zenith's greatest secret, would be revealed.
Meanwhile, at Zenith's Headquarters...
In a dark room filled with holographic screens, an old man sat in his chair, his expression calm.
Before him, a woman in a special black uniform stood at attention, awaiting orders.
"Latest report, sir. Titan has been defeated, and the underground city has collapsed."
The man showed no reaction. He simply sighed.
"I expected this."
The woman continued. "Ethan Liu's group is now heading toward our secret facility in the Hidden Ocean. What are your orders?"
The old man smiled faintly. "Let them come."
The woman raised an eyebrow. "You don't want to stop them?"
"No," the old man replied calmly. "Because when they get there... Ethan will learn that he has been a part of Zenith from the very beginning."
The woman looked surprised. "So... all of this was part of your plan?"
The old man smiled. "Of course. This has been a game we've been preparing for a long time. And now, Ethan will finally learn who he truly is."
He stared at the screen, where Ethan's face appeared.
"Welcome to the endgame, Ethan Liu."
