Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection-Chapter 220: The new World
The ants continued to create the tunnel, and about three hours had passed. Anthony took out some dried meat and handed it to the two girls. They continued to wait, as attacking remained a complete suicide mission. Although Anthony could easily escape, that wasn’t the point. He remained still, patiently waiting for the ants to finish digging the tunnel.
It was essential to follow them in order to find the artifact or material hidden in that cave.
In the following hours, the ants continued to work on their tunnel. Anthony closed his eyes, trusting that the ants wouldn’t detect him. However, the downside was that his mana was slowly depleting over time. Still, he was fast enough and could endure for a whole week. Finally, the ants finished creating their tunnel, and more and more of them began to enter it.
Now it was just a matter of waiting for them to finish completely.
Days passed, and more and more ants entered the tunnel. Soon, there were few left on the surface. Anthony figured he would only have to wait one more day. After one more day had passed, no ants could be seen anymore. They had all entered the tunnel. It had taken six days in total.
One more day and Anthony would be in trouble, but hopefully they would finish sooner.
Anthony stopped covering the two girls with his mana and frowned when he realized he only had a quarter of his mana reserves left. After a few seconds, Perséfone approached the tunnel and looked down, "Very deep, I think it’s triple or even deeper than the other tunnel we just went down," she said as she sat on the edge without showing any fear.
"Careful, you might fall!" Estefany warned as she dragged Perséfone to a safe place.
Anthony observed the depth of the tunnel, noticing that it was also three times wider than the previous one. A thin thread of darkness came out of his finger, and after about four hours, he shook his head. He still couldn’t find the bottom. He pondered for a few seconds and decided it was better to wait until his mana reserves were replenished again.

In the middle of the savannah, among the bent trees, a girl with purple hair and eyes sat on branches, swinging her legs as she stared intently at a group of students facing harpies in an enchanted battle. She witnessed how a harpy grabbed a student by the head, while another one dug its claws into his legs, tearing him apart as he screamed miserably in agony.

Charlotte frowned; she still hadn’t found her husband and felt a little sad.
She watched again as the group of students ran for their lives, only to be hunted down by the harpies moments later. When the harpies began to devour the students, Charlotte’s eyes fixed on the rings. Moving her hands, purple hands sprang from the ground, crushing all the harpies, killing them easily.

With slow steps, Charlotte approached the dead students and picked up each of their rings before leaving the place. Walking quietly through the fine, slightly yellowish earth of the savannah, she examined the rings and felt satisfied with what she found. After five days in that savannah, she looked for a place to rest and spend the night as the sun began to set.
Her eyes fell on a large tree, and she approached subtly, feeling the presence of another person inside it. Upon arriving, she entered a hole and found a girl with brown hair, who was staring at her. The two girls stared at each other, and Charlotte, widening her eyes, sat in front of her. She took out a water bottle and drank some, offering the bottle to the girl afterward.
She accepted it and drank quickly, as if she were regaining energy after a long period of drought, and then thanked her with a smile.
Taking some glasses out of her ring, Charlotte also smiled as she saw the girl put them on. Then, she placed some fruits in the center, and both started eating. Charlotte expressed surprise at meeting Victoria in that savannah, and between bites of fruit, Victoria asked her how she was doing in the event. Charlotte shrugged and mentioned that she was doing well since she had many things in her ring.
In turn, Victoria expressed her frustration with the event, wishing she were comfortably at home.

"It’s time, let’s go," said Anthony as he stood up. He needed two full days to completely recover his mana. A thread of darkness came out of his fingers, and he closed his eyes. Three full days passed, and he finally knew what the bottom of the tunnel was. He covered the girls with his mana, disappearing and reappearing in a new place.
Anthony opened his eyes and found himself in what seemed to be an underground forest, stretching for thousands of kilometers. It was dimly lit, with a huge mountain in the center resembling a volcano. There were many more volcanoes around the place. The trees were larger and thicker, and some plants emitted a glow on their stems. Others seemed to have a life of their own, as if they were watching.
Looking in all directions, Anthony could feel subtle life points. He frowned and observed the plants as Perséfone did the same. "It’s like we’re in a completely different world," said Perséfone, her eyes shining with fascination.
Anthony totally agreed with her; even the leaves of the trees were larger than his head. But what unsettled him the most were the other mountains in the surroundings; he could feel that the ants were inside them, and the volcano in the center could feel the presence of a Maximum-Titan rank creature.
In that same place was where there was the largest number of ants, hesitating for a few minutes, he looked with a smile at Estefany, she shivered under his gaze: "It’s time for you to help me with your peculiar magic," said Anthony.
