Chapter 45: 45. Body Training

Unaware of the hidden conversations unfolding behind closed doors, Licht simply resumed his routine, attending the remaining classes at the Academy as if nothing had happened.

But even though the school day had ended, his work was far from over.

His earlier fight had revealed something troubling. His strength was completely conditional.

And worse, it had a fatal flaw.

His body was far too weak. If he truly wanted to grow stronger, then there was only one path forward.

He would have to train relentlessly

Since classes had just ended, the regular training rooms were packed with students making using them noisy and inefficient.

Thankfully, Licht didn’t have to use those.

As the top-ranked cadet, he had exclusive access to the elite facilities—private, state-of-the-art training chambers reserved for the academy’s best. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

He stepped into the VIP Training Lounge and was immediately greeted pristien and perfectly cooolded air that brushed against the sleek and polished walls that shone like obsidian.

All around him, ambient lights hummed softly from above, casting a subtle blue glow across the floors. A refreshment station stocked with high-end energy boosters sat beside cushioned lounge chairs, untouched and waiting.

For a regular person, this place would be like the devil whispers, tempting them to relax and engage in luxury, but Licht walked past and ignored it all.

After changing into some sports wear, Licht strode past the luxury amenities without pause, heading for the real reason he was here, the Gravitational Resistance and Body-Training Chambers.

With a soft hiss, the heavy doors sealed behind him the moment he entered.

Licht approached the central console and brushed his fingers across the crystal interface, selecting his settings.

Instantly, the room’s gravity shifted with a deep hum, pressing down on him with steadily increasing force.

4x G-force.

Suddenly, a crushing weight slammed down on Licht’s body, pressing against his shoulders and spine like invisible iron chains and causing him to grit his teeth as his knees instinctively bent to brace the pressure.

As this was going on, Licht reached for his nearby bag and pulled out a strange vial

It was a body-training potion.

Knowing that he was focused on Physical training, Licht had brought several of these vials with him today.

As the Rank 1 cadet, Licht didn’t need to be stingy with his resources. The academy practically made sure his supplies were abundant, and that was before he "convinced" the principal to increase his supply as compensation and truth be told... he should’ve had far more.

As the direct son of the Valtier family patriarch, Licht had once been entitled to the finest alchemy had to offer: elite-grade potions, enchanted supplements, and cutting-edge training gear.

But after years of draining the clan’s vaults with little tangible progress, Licht’s access was quietly restricted. Now, there were kids in the branch families with better support than him.

The moment Licht drank the potion, the effects hit his mana core almost instantly.

He could feel the mana surging through his veins and weaving through his limbs like threads of lightning. Licht’s muscles groaning as each individual tissue and cell strained to absorb as much of the body training potion as possible

Suppressing his discomfort, Licht staggered to the central console and tapped the dial again.

5x G-force.

The pressure grew heavier, and now Licht felt like it was difficult to even breathe.

Each breath he took felt as if he was trying to inhale through water, but despite this, Licht still managed to grit his teeth and carry on.

He started slow at first. Moving in small, gradual steps as his feet dragged against the floor, before gradually building momentum. Soon, every footstep sent a dull tremor through the reinforced metal beneath him, echoing faintly in the sealed room.

For a moment, Licht felt hope that with effort and willpower, he would be able to power through and change his body. But unfortunately, that hope was only allowed to blossom for a moment

Barely a few minutes passed before Licht’s body rebelled. The strain hit him all at once, making his legs buckle as his muscles locked up.

Licht collapsed onto the floor with a dull thud, barely catching himself with shaking arms, as his vision swam

"T...turn off the gravity."

As soon as Licht said this, the increased gravity faded away instantly, and Licht felt like he could breathe properly again

But even with this, Licht wasn’t happy

’pathetic.’

Licht slammed his fist weakly against the ground in frustration

His body barely lasted a few minutes before completely collapsing in on itself

Licht looked towards his system and found the culprit

「Abysmal sword & magic Talent (-SS)」

◆ Your Body’s talent for Swordsmanship and Magic is so bad that even the heavens are astonished. Pigs have a higher chance of flying than you do of succeeding in any of these fields.

This trait really was a curse

Ever since awakening the Infinite Copy Eyes, Licht had never truly felt the life of the original Licht that had eventually driven him mad. That was the life of a person without even a shred of talent.

His Infinite Copy Eyes were effectively a real-life cheat code. They allowed him to mimic techniques with a glance, to move mana as easily as breathing and wield near divine levels of power effortlessly.

It was so bad that Licht had actually slipped into the illusion that the power of his infinite eyes was his own.

But now that he was trying to train his body for real, he understood the truth.

Licht’s body, his body. It was completely unfit for combat.

Fragile. uncordinated. slow.

Any insult you could think of was applied to Licht like some sort of divine debuff

If things continued like this, Licht wouldn’t get any stronger and just stagnate, something Licht couldn’t tolerate.

He may seem strong now, but What licht was doing was just bullying cadets in a one battle.

If he a fought a stronger opponent or was jumped by a band of cadets, Licht would quickly become a joke
