Chapter 308: Chapter 308: Consulting the Expert

After dinner, the initial plan was to take Cynthia Chambers out to play since it’s her birthday today.

But after Thea Shaw’s interruption, the Chambers family decided to take Cynthia Chambers to the hospital for a check-up instead.

Aurora Sutton used her connections to schedule an appointment with a well-known brain specialist.

However, the suspicion that the child might be too intelligent seemed somewhat laughable, and before the facts were out, the Chambers family couldn’t be sure. Anyway, Cynthia needed regular developmental check-ups, so consulting with this expert for a detailed examination seemed better.

Cynthia had only been here for a month. They went to the hospital for a thorough examination, which largely involved consulting the doctors about the child’s development. Doctors in big hospitals were more than capable, and they said there were no major issues to worry about except monitoring development, so the Chambers didn’t think much more of it.

As it happened, the specialist was available today. After taking the child for the check-up, not many people were allowed in the ward with all those important instruments, so Aurora Sutton, Thea Shaw, and Zia Sutton waited outside.

Aurora had some conjectures in her mind, and she cautiously asked, "Thea, did you see from Cynthia’s face that she’s extremely smart?"

"Reading the face can at most reveal a sharp disposition, but how smart she actually is can’t be determined from that. I’m looking at facial features, not measuring IQ."

Aurora was even more puzzled, "Then how do you say Cynthia belongs to the exceptionally intelligent kind?"

Thea thought of a more straightforward explanation: "Put it this way, Cynthia’s features are extremely rare, like one in a million kind. No matter what such a person does, they will definitely reach the pinnacle and change the world. This facial feature is very perfect, not something associated with developmental delays or low intellect. Based on Cynthia’s behavior, I infer she is highly intelligent, but it might be in other areas too, so I did a simple test."

Zia wore a shocked expression as if her worldview had been rewritten, "Are facial features really that powerful?"

"Change the world." Aurora was also surprised by these words, "Is this child really that extraordinary?"

"It’s just an early discovery now."

Thea pondered, "In reality, if she truly is extremely smart, it will gradually become apparent as she grows. My current inference is just early speculation; we still need to see what results the expert finds."

Because this was a Great Emperor Star, something she’d never seen before, Thea was also very curious about Cynthia, a person destined to stir up trouble when grown.

Aurora sighed, "If this child is indeed very smart, then in the other place on their side, she would’ve been ruined. Fortunately, she came to the Chambers family and was discovered by you."

If she hadn’t come to the Chambers, someone would certainly have mistaken Cynthia Chambers for an idiot.

At that point, the direction of development would differ, making it hard to say what consequences might occur.

Thea: "Indeed, such a person can change the world, but if an accident happens, they could also become a menace when grown."

Zia, Aurora: "..."

Typically, the results of such a check-up could be out by the afternoon. However, Cynthia Chambers went through various brain tests, and the specialist tested a few things as well. Actually, Cynthia hardly reacted to anything, but the specialist seemed surprised looking at some feedback data. Then, he asked a few questions about Cynthia’s usual situations at home and finally gave the Chambers family an answer.

"This child’s condition seems somewhat special. I need to consult my teacher, Winston Paxton."
