I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn’t. My body felt heavy. I could feel the new power and the change in my body.

Unlike before blood pumping through my veins felt alive, as though something living had been placed inside of me.

That terrified me. I couldn’t control my body, I felt trapped as though I was foreign but still belonged.

Something touched my chest, it was wet and warm. It moved down my chest as it spread the weird warmth.

It felt grounding. That was the only thing that kept me from having a panic attack in this trap I was in.

I looked down at my now red mana pool and reached to touch it. It moved as though listening to my will.

The blood red water in the pool shot out of the water and started to coil around my hand.

It didn’t feel terrifying, it was my power after all.

"Master, you have to wake up?"

A faint voice came from above me. I tried to recall who it belonged to but it felt like my memories were escaping me.

"Master, you’ve never slept this long. You have to wake up."

The voice came again, but louder this time. It echoed across the empty space.

The mana pool surged forward and wrapped around me before I could react. I sank into the endless water, then in the middle it clocked to me.

I knew who was calling, I struggled and opened....

"Luna?"

My eyes slowly opened, and I turned my head towards the direction the voice had been coming from.

"Yes master, I’m here?"

She was sitting on the bed, looking at me worriedly.

There was a small white towel in her hands, which I assumed was used to wipe me.

"Luna?"

I called again. My mind was still disconnected.

"Yes, master. Thank goodness you are awake. "

She climbed fully onto the bed. I was lying in the middle while she sat at the edge.

"Luna?"

She looked at me in confusion before shaking her head. She leaned over and cupped my cheek before caressing it softly.

"The duchess said I should feed you after waking up since your body will be drained. "

Despite understanding what she was saying, I still couldn’t fully grasp everything.

"How long have I been asleep?"

I asked curiously. My body felt heavier than usual even with the blood.

"Two days, master. You’ve been asleep for two days. "

I lifted my head and looked down at her in surprise.

"That’s longer than I had expected, I thought it would be a day at most."

Luna shook her head. I placed my head back on her shoulder while she softly ran her fingers through my hair.

"The duchess said it was normal since your body was evolving and adapting."

"That’s unexpected. Mother never told me anything about this."

That’s what made me confused. I thought I was getting an inheritance or something, but all I got was pain. Atleast i can feel the power increase in my body.

"The duchess instructed you to visit her the moment you woke up."

I nodded and got off Luna.

I got off the bed and stood in front of the mirror to see if I had any changes.

Nothing, I looked just the same. The changes had only happened on the inside.

I chuckled to myself.

"Can you prepare my bath?"

The smell of blood and sweat clung to me, and I didn’t like it.

"The bath is ready. "

Luna told me after a few moments while standing at the bathroom door. The other servants scurried out of the room leaving the two of us together.

I removed my clothes, threw them to the side, and walked to the bathroom.

"I want something light, yeah that one. I should be able to remove it with one pull."

I was speaking to luna who was helping me dress. She helped me hurriedly dress and escorted me out of my room.

"You can leave now, I’ll find Mother myself. "

She nodded and bowed before going back into my room.

I took one last glance at the closed door and walked towards my mother’s study. It was weird since no one had told me where she was but intuition told me she would be there.

My body seemed to know where it was supposed to go, something that had never happened.

I chalked it up to the new power I had gotten.

"May I come in, mother?"

I knocked on her study door.

"Come in."

I pushed the door open and slowly closed it behind me. I looked to the right to find mother seated on the couch next to the small library, reading a book.

I was used to seeing her seated on the main chair behind her working table.

"How have you been mother?"

I said as I walked towards her. I sat next to her and leaned forward to get a good look at her face.

"How is your body feeling?"

She asked me.

"It’s fine, I was a bit frail when I woke up, but it seems to have gone back to normal. "

I sat up straight and subconsciously touched my body looking for any sign of injury.

"That’s good to hear, but I was asking power-wise?"

Mother turned to me, giving me her full attention. She placed the book on the table and brought her hand to my cheek.

"My power has increased by an extra star. I’m at twenty-one stars, and my physical strength has increased almost tenfold. Even the strength potion I had used managed to get me to the strength of a tenth-star knight. I can fully fight a twelfth-star knight with a bit of struggling, but I won’t die or win unless there is a mishap."

I said excitedly. During my walk to the office i had been estimating my strength and was delighted to find it had increased that much.

"That’s good, the spell was to mold your body and your mana pool."

I looked at her in confusion and doubt.

"Wouldn’t that have been better if you had given it to me while I was a child?"

"No, a child’s body is too weak, and you have to be above the twentieth level since the mana pool is more developed and can withstand the invasion. You should have already gotten your exclusive power."

I nodded.

"That’s good, this only works for vampires."

She seemed to have read my mind. I had been thinking about how to integrate this on Luna.
