Villain: The Play of Destiny-Chapter 5
"Is the vicinity clear?"
"Yes, Master." Yingying's voice sounded out from the cellphone. "No one is trailing you."
"Stand on guard." He said and ended the call.
Right now, he was dressed in a simple white shirt, blue jeans, and a grey sweater, sitting inside a BMW that he had earlier switched with Yingying before coming to this community.
He started the car and slowly drove towards a house at the end of the street. It was a simple two-storey house, which was quite big for the family of three that resided inside it.
After parking the car right in front of the house, he checked the time, and as soon as the watch hit 4:45 pm, he got out and stood leaning against the vehicle, waiting for someone.
He didn't have to wait long before he saw an enchantingly beautiful girl come out of the house with a bright smile. She was around 14 years old, tall for her age, and naturally possessed a charm and grace that captivated the minds of people. Even if she was young, her beauty could suffocate the heart of any beautiful girl with envy. She was just like him, a girl possessing a ridiculously high charm. And her most striking feature was her pair of deep blue eyes that formed a compelling contrast with her black hair. And right now, those beautiful orbs were sparkling in excitement.
It was quite funny that she was wearing a similar outfit as him; a White shirt, blue jeans, a grey sweater, and high boots.
"Brother!" She happily called out to him before she started running towards him, and lunged right into his awaiting arms. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too!" He chuckled happily and spun around with her, making her giggle. "Ready to go?"
"Yup!" She enthusiastically nodded her head and ran to the passenger side as soon as he put her down.
"How was your week, Kiara?" He asked her after starting the car and driving towards their destination.
"Boring!" She pouted and folded her arms on her chest. "Just another week with dozens of assignments."
"You are in your final year of Middle-School, so there are bound to be so many assignments." He flicked her nose playfully. "And I hope you have not been slacking in your studies." He sternly spoke.
"Hmph.." She pouted again and turned her face to the other side.
He laughed at her antics and did not pursue the matter anymore. It might not look like it from the way she behaved around him, but she was the ace of her batch. Her academic results were always perfect.
Keith drove the car out of the city, towards a suburban area, and half n hour later, they arrived at the Kennedy Equestrian Club.
It was the month of December, and with evening approaching, most of the Club Members were already departing the premises when they entered it.
Keith was wearing shades in order to keep the people away, and thankfully, no one recognized him as the girl by his side attracted all their attention.
A Steward was already waiting for them with their horses, and Kiara happily ran towards her favorite horse present in the Club.
"Hello, Gin!" She gently stroked its head and ran her soft fingers through its thick black hair.
It was quite obvious from how the horse leaned into her touch that he liked her a lot. And as soon as she climbed onto it, the beautiful red horse started prancing before galloping away with her on a cross-country run.
Keith had to quickly climb onto his horse and chase after them because he was worried about the mischievous little girl. She was an adept Equestrian, but he still couldn't feel at ease to let her be on her own.
By the time the two of them returned back to the club from their cross-country run, the sky had turned dark, and the temperature had dramatically dropped along with it.
"It's so cold!"
Seeing Kiara tremble all over, he smirked at her.
"You should have worn an extra sweater."
"Are you not cold?" She curiously asked when she found him totally at ease, only wearing a light sweater. It was quite strange, as just last week, he had been trembling all over despite wearing a trench coat.
"I am stronger than you." He proudly said and took off his sweater, helping Kiara wear it. "This cold is nothing."
"Really?" She had a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Yes." He nodded his head but soon cried out in surprise when she put her cold hands on his neck.
Kiara laughed loudly at his reaction and immediately ran ahead of him, fearing that he would retaliate against her.
"Just you what, little vixen!" He called after her but did not chase her, instead, he slowed down his pace and leisurely walked towards the parking lot.
What he had said was true. The cold did not really bother him, and he had just now pretended to be taken by surprise when Kiara had pulled the prank on him.
The Aura-Soul Potion he had consumed in the morning was miraculous. It had just taken an hour for his constitution to change, and now that he possessed a complete Aura Soul, he could sense and manipulate the Aura within his body. The Aura now augmented his physical capabilities as well as his senses. He was no longer an Ordinary Mortal as he had already become an Auror, stepping onto the path of Cultivation.
"Can't get in the car?" He smirked when he saw Kiara waiting in the cold, standing by the side of the car. He had deliberately made her wait for a few minutes in this cold weather.
"What took you so long?" She complained.
"It's such a pleasant weather. I felt like going for a stroll..."
"Brother, have you gone crazy?" She seriously looked him in the eyes and asked.
"Maybe, but we know for sure that you are the crazy one. And the weak one too." He pulled his tongue at her, and she pouted at him in return, not refuting his words.
"Let me drive!" She stopped him from sitting inside the car. "Pretty, please!" And begged him when he was about to refuse her request.
"Alright." He sighed and let her sit on the driving seat. "But if you get pulled over, you will be on your own." He warned her.
"Nope. I know that brother will save me!" She giggled happily and fastened her seat belt.
Keith sighed at her words, but there was a fond smile on his face. She was right. He could never leave her in trouble.
Even though it had only been a couple of months since he had taught her how to drive, Kiara seemed to possess a natural talent in driving just like him.
She drove to their favourite seafood restaurant without any incidents, and then the two of them chatted happily as they had their dinner.
"Kiara, I have something to tell you." Keith had waited for her to finish her dinner before bringing up the subject he wanted to talk to her about.
"Yes?" She seemed to have sensed the seriousness in his voice and looked him right in the eyes.
"I have applied for Autonomous Study for the next six Semesters." He felt guilty when he saw her eyes dim at his words.
The little girl had been working her best to make sure she got into the Sameran High-school, which was part of the Sameran University, just so she could see him every day at the Campus. But now her dream was broken.
"Why?" She asked lightly but failed to hide the sadness in her voice.
"I am starting my own Business from Monday, and it will require my utmost attention."
"But you don't lack money..." She complained. "Why do you have the sudden urge to start a business?"
Keith smiled at her words. She was, after all, still very young, not aware of how cruel the world out there was.
"Why? Don't you want to see your brother make a name for himself?" He teasingly asked.
"Do you need to make a name for yourself?" She narrowed her eyes at him.
Well, she was right. He was already too famous.
"Trust me?" He did not bother arguing with her.
"Yes." She grudgingly spoke and lowered her head.
"We will soon be able to see each other more often. Maybe not every day, but you will be able to visit me whenever you miss me too much." He lightly said.
His words elated her and brushed away the depressing thoughts.
"Really?!"
"Yes." He nodded his head and brightly smiled at her. "But be ready, you are about to enter an entirely new world, Young Lady Kiara."
"What do you mean?" She curiously asked.
"I will pick you up on Sunday. And you will know the answer."
