Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 1052: Different Vibe
Villain Ch 1052. Different Vibe
Kai nodded. "Yes, sir," he replied as they slipped back into the car.
The door shut with a quiet click. The engine purred to life. Allen settled back into his seat, mind already drifting to the next venue. But something tugged at him. He glanced over at Kai, who was reviewing notes on his tablet.
"Kai," Allen started, his voice thoughtful. "What did you think of Crownhall?"
Kai didn't look up immediately, instead scrolling through his notes for a moment before responding. "It had potential, sir, but I noticed a few shortcomings." He paused, glancing at Allen with a knowing look. "The stage was smaller than expected for an event of your scale, and it limited the flexibility for media space.
Additionally, the layout of the rooms wasn't ideal for managing both the conference and the party in a seamless manner."
Allen nodded slowly, impressed by how well Kai had articulated exactly what he had been thinking. "I thought the same thing," he admitted, letting out a small sigh. "It's a shame, really. The place looked nice. I mean, the conference and the party could've been held separately, but still, it didn't feel like a perfect fit. Maybe things would've been neater that way.
Not to mention, they don't have much flexibility."
Kai's face remained calm, but there was a flicker of agreement in his eyes. "Actually, it wouldn't be too much of an issue to keep the stage in the big hall. As long as we can allocate space for the media and reporters, it would still work."
Allen exhaled, leaning his head back against the seat. "True," he muttered, but there was still something gnawing at him. He couldn't shake the feeling that Crownhall had missed the mark in more ways than just the stage.
Kai glanced at him before continuing. "There's one more issue though, sir."
Allen turned toward him, curious. "What's that?"
Kai gave a small nod, as if preparing to deliver a crucial detail. "The building doesn't have a helipad."
Allen blinked, a bit caught off guard. "Wait, do we need a helipad?" he asked, a note of surprise coloring his voice. He had never really thought about it—why would he need a helipad?
"Of course, sir," Kai replied, his tone patient but firm. "Some of the wealthy families you'll be inviting don't particularly enjoy dealing with traffic. They'd much rather arrive by helicopter. Your father, for instance, often uses one if he's running late."
For a moment, Allen just stared at Kai, trying to process the information. "We have a helicopter?" he asked, his voice laced with disbelief.
Kai's calm expression didn't falter. "Yes, sir. The mansion has a helipad on the rooftop and a separate garage in the backyard where the helicopter is housed. It's a different location from the main garage."
Allen's jaw dropped slightly. He had taken a mansion tour before, but there were still moments like this that reminded him just how vast and different this world was compared to the life he had lived before. The idea of casually owning a helicopter felt absurd to him.
He pressed his lips together and nodded repeatedly, though his mind was racing. 'Yep,' he thought to himself, 'I'm definitely still a stranger.'
Kai continued, his voice as smooth as ever. "It's not really uncommon. Many of the families in your father's social circle prefer to travel this way. It's efficient, and for them, time is more valuable than anything."
Allen leaned back in his seat again, staring out the window. The idea of a helipad being crucial for an event hadn't even crossed his mind before today, but now it seemed like a glaring oversight.
"Yeah, a helipad is crucial then," Allen muttered, half to himself, half to Kai. He had to admit, he was lucky to have Kai by his side. Without him, little details like this would slip through the cracks.
Kai nodded in agreement. "Unfortunately, most venues don't mark whether they have a helipad or not in their advertisements. It's usually something you have to ask directly."
Allen chuckled at the thought. "Maybe they're just trying to be low-profile. I mean, who wants to flex a helipad, right? Especially on public websites." He shook his head with a grin. "I'm even still seriously shocked about the one on my own house, and the helicopter too. I didn't even know we had one."
Kai's lips twitched into a smile. "Believe me, sir, I was just as shocked when I first started working for your family. But after a while, you get used to it. Everything in your world revolves around saving time. For people like your father, time is worth more than any amount of money."
Allen sat quietly for a moment, thinking that over. "I guess I have to learn more about all this." He wasn't just talking about helipads and helicopters. There was an entire world of luxury, efficiency, and unspoken rules that he was only beginning to understand. A world that had been out of reach for most of his life, even though he had always belonged to it.
About fifteen minutes later, they arrived at the second venue. The car slowed to a stop. Allen glanced up at the building in front of them. It was the complete opposite of Crownhall. Where Crownhall had been grand and almost regal, this place was sleek, modern, with clean lines and minimalist design. Glass and steel made up most of the exterior, reflecting the afternoon sun in sharp angles.
Allen's eyes flicked up to the rooftop, and he grinned. "With a building like this, maybe they've got a helipad," he joked.
Kai gave a small chuckle. "Let's hope so, sir."
The car came to a stop, and just like before, one of the staff members opened the door for them. Kai and the staff stepped out first, and then Allen followed, his shoes hitting the pavement with a soft thud. The welcome was similar to the one they'd received at Crownhall, but there was a noticeable difference in the atmosphere.
