Villain in a Fantasy World; I Level Up by Conquering Villainesses-Chapter 76: A clash of Domain Expansions!
With Puck’s addition into the fray inside the Central Bank of Falaniondor, the Fairy Princess instantly showed why she was one of the most dreaded Fairies in the history of Gomorra.
As a Level 98 A Rank Warden of the Archer Class, Puck was the strongest A Rank Awakened in this bank hall the moment she entered.
She was the closest to the mythical Level 100 Sovereign Rank, and at the higher ranks, the difference of a single level became progressively bigger.
This was why she dominated immediately.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
As an A Rank Archer of the Sniper path, every single one of her arrows the moment they left her bow had the power of a mountain and the sharpness of an adult Dragon’s Tooth.
Her attacks were obliteratingly powerful!
But in the end, Puck was no S Rank Sovereign yet and the fact remained that she had a similar number and quality of skills as Councilor Wilkinson who was a Level 95 Paragon of the Warrior Class.
The moment the Fairy Princess emerged and started wreaking havoc, putting a dent in the plans of the 4 Centaurs and Elves, they improvised.
They knew that with her presence, it would not be easy to kill their enemies like they expected anymore.
This was why instead of continuing the originally planned assault, Councilor Wilkinson immediately turned around and charged towards the Fairy Princess with the only purpose of keeping her occupied.
With the sheer mobility of an A Rank Fairy Archer, Wilkinson knew he couldn’t kill her but with his own frenzied mobility as a Centaur, he was more than confident in keeping up with her and restricting her impact on this battle.
If he didn’t restrict her, with the unique ability of Archers to target multiple opponents at once, she would singlehandedly turn the battle around.
And so the Fairy Archer and the Centaur Warrior clashed.
KABOOM!
Amid their clash, Pandora, Xoreth, and Dante finally had the opportunity to fight a fair 3v3 against the 2 Elves and the last Councilor of the Kingdom of Falaniondor, Councilor Warren.
But it only looked like a fair 3v3 on paper.
Before Puck arrived, Dante and Xoreth already suffered heavy injuries from a single barrage from Susan.
That weakened them.
This was why with Puck being restricted by Councilor Wilkinson, despite their synergy in battle and despite giving their all, they were still unable to prevail against the trio of 2 Elves and 1 Centaur.
With Susan restricting their movements with her AOE attacks and through the S Rank Artifact that was bestowed on her, the insidious and elusive nature of Pandora and Dante’s skills were the only reasons why they were not yet dead.
Armed with the S Rank Artifact, Veil Clipper, though it was not actually an offensive type Artifact, Susan was still overpowered in this battle.
She moved recklessly, attacking with the full confidence that her enemies would never be able to breach her defense with the Artifact active.
She was a menace.
And among her 3 enemies, Xoreth was the weak point.
Despite already manifesting her Archon Form, a physical avatar manifestation of her Mage qi that was a mighty 4 meter tall Ginger Cat that engulfed her body, protecting her in the middle and amplifying all her skills, Xoreth remained the weak link because she was not as elusive as Dante or Pandora even with her Teleportation skill.
BOOM!
Another deadly attack from Councilor Warren slammed her against the wall of the bank hall as she coughed blood.
CRACK!
This time, she felt her ribs shatter inside.
Xoreth’s eyes were bloodshot and full of anger and desperation.
THUD... THUD...
The Centaur didn’t let her be. Even before she could fully shake off her disorientation, the Level 92 A Rank Centaur Warrior was already charging towards her again with his Spear to end what he started.
At the same time, with the S Rank Artifact enabling her to evade Pandora’s illusion pursuit again, the Elven Archer pulled back her bow and aimed.
Seeing this, Xoreth’s eyes narrowed into slits like a cornered Cat even as all the hair on her body stood on their end.
She was cornered.
The main reason why they were losing this battle even with Puck’s involvement was because of their levels.
From B Rank Level 50, Awakened unlock 2 skills only every 10 levels.
Dante was a Level 83 Null, Xoreth herself was a Level 81 Archon, while only Pandora and Puck were Level 90+.
That difference of Level 80 and 90 meant a lot.
Of their 4 enemies, only Moore, the Level 89 Druid was still in the 80s. The remaining 3 enemies were all Level 90+ Awakened.
What this meant was that they outclassed their opponents in terms of skill volume, and at A Rank this meant everything because every single skill unlocked at A Rank is a game changer at high-ranking battles.
This tiny difference between both squads proved the difference and was why Xoreth ended up in such a situation.
"HISSSS...!" The Catfolk barred her fangs and hissed.
Susan released her bowstring.
BAM!
Xoreth’s heart clenched the moment the arrow was released and instantly, she knew there was no more use maintaining the status quo, so she decided to be the first one to drag this battle into the dark side.
She choose chaos.
"Domain Expansion: Wandering Void of the Starry Grimoire!"
BZZZ!
Time froze.
The law of Xoreth’s domain is Wanderer, reflecting her carefree and nomadic nature as she hated being confined to one place.
It also reflected her Mage pathway.
Within her domain with the Wanderer law active, Xoreth can instantly send her consciousness out of her body to any area within the domain to hover freely outside her body. And she can also swap souls with any person caught within the vicinity of her domain.
The moment the domain activated, Xoreth used the Soul Swap effect of Wanderer.
She swapped souls with Susan!
If the attack of the Level 91 Archer hit, Xoreth’s body would suffer debilitating damage but at the same time, Susan’s soul now inhabiting the body of the Catfolk will also suffer all the pain plus the crippling damage too because of the connection between the soul and body.
Susan reacted immediately she realized what happened.
Curved Shot!
The arrow suddenly veered off course when it was mere inches away from hitting its target, hitting the wall instead beside Xoreth’s body.
Xoreth’s Domain Expansion was like a provocation to all the A Rank powerhouses currently inside the bank.
And well, when provoked, they all responded.
Susan responded first.
"Domain Expansion: Calamity of the Thousand-Sun Rain!"
Once Susan joined the fray, chaos truly ensued.
"Domain Expansion: False World!"
"Domain Expansion: Silent Graves of the Obsidian Veil!"
"Domain Expansion: Sanctuary of the Myriad Fangs!"
"Domain Expansion: Everlasting Sight of the Singularity!"
"Domain Expansion: Still Water of the Mirror Blade!"
"Domain Expansion: Colosseum of the Iron Vow!"
BZZZ!
KABOOOOOMMMMM!
