Villain in a Fantasy World; I Level Up by Conquering Villainesses-Chapter 66: A Domain Clash of S Ranks! [2]
It was less than a second since the Elven Queen appeared and Sir Alfred went to battle, and yet Julian felt like almost a lifetime had passed.
Watching his very first S Rank domain clash left a big mental imprint on him.
Watching the domain clash as an outsider, Julian finally realized just how conceptual and destructive battles at the highest levels of Gomorra are.
He was sure that if there was no other S Rank Sovereign opposing them, singlehandedly, either of Sir Alfred or the Elven Queen was powerful enough to annihilate the entire city of Falaniondor alone.
Julian stared in a daze. ’So, this is what a domain clash looks like...’
Despite being just a spectating outsider as he was protected from the shockwaves by Dreadmoor, he still felt like the world was coming to an end around the 2 S Rank Sovereigns as they battled within their domains.
As both domains clashed, constantly canceling and negating each other’s laws and authorities before restoring them, both S Rank Sovereigns remained unscathed so far but the world around them suffered.
KABOOOMMMMM!
Within less than a second since the domain battle between the 2 S Rank Sovereigns started, almost the entirety of the City of Falaniondor became terraformed as tens of thousands of lives were instantly lost!
This was the terror of S Rank combat.
Entire stone buildings and architectures were leveled to the ground, creating deep craters in the mountain.
The jade river below churned, forming gigantic waves as an earthquake rippled across the mountainous city.
None of the 2 S Rank Sovereigns specifically targeted their surroundings, it was just the sheer density of shockwaves from their battle damaging the city.
Even the sturdy Central Bank of Falaniondor started crumbling as Pandora, Xoreth, and Dante sought cover but they still couldn’t escape because the domain law of spatial lock was still in effect.
By now, Pandora could already tell from the fluctuations of the 2 clashing domains that the spatial lock law did not come from the Elven Queen’s own domain, but rather came from an Artifact, most likely an S Rank Artifact.
She guessed that it was also this Artifact that enabled the Queen to teleport to the Central Bank to prevent their escape.
Till the domain clash ended, no one was leaving Falaniondor.
They were all trapped!
...
Domain Overlap: 2-fold Authority!
CRUSH!
The second domain law that Sir Alfred activated was Crush.
While Attraction embodied the attraction power of a Black Hole, Crush embodied the authority and power of a Black Hole to crush everything with sheer density and gravity.
The thousands of arrows that were shot by the Elven Queen and were yet to hit their targets exploded in mid-air under the effect of crush!
But even with his 2-fold domain overlap, Sir Alfred keenly felt that the Elven Queen still had the advantage in this domain battle simply because of the passive effect of the third domain law of Spatial Lock that she put in place through an Artifact.
Sir Alfred felt like the S Rank Artifact may be the deciding factor in this battle, but he also knew that they were both not at their limits yet.
His brain whirred as he strategized.
With her law of False Proximity keeping her at an infinite distance, Sir Alfred’s attacks simply couldn’t reach her even with his law of Attraction and with Omnipresence to close the distance to her.
And with his law of Crush, none of the Elven Queen’s attacks survived long enough to hit all of his bodies.
Her attacks could only eliminate a few bodies at a time as both domains kept on canceling and negating each other.
And just like he expected, Queen Mirabel had no intention of continuing this battle like this because after just 2 seconds of the current struggle, she decided to take it up a notch again as she hit 3rd gear.
Domain Overlap: 3-fold Authority!
True Sight!
Queen Mirabel’s domain law of True Sight comes with the domain authority that enables her to see through all illusions, invisibility, and cover, a domain law specifically targeted at Illusionists and Assassins.
Against her current opponent, this domain law couldn’t do much offensively but in terms of domain density, it massively amplified the density of her domain.
And in domain battles, that could be all the difference needed.
CRACK!
More cracks rapidly spread through Sir Alfred’s domain, forcing him to go all in too before his domain shattered as he activated his 3rd domain law.
Domain Overlap: 3-fold Authority!
Negate Gravity!
BZZZT!
Sir Alfred negated gravity entirely, focusing on the Elven Queen as he created a vacuum within their domains!
In general relativity, a non-rotating black hole is a vacuum solution, meaning the region inside the event horizon is empty spacetime surrounding a central singularity where all mass has collapsed to zero volume.
The extreme gravity in a black hole does not create a vacuum in the sense of removing all particles, instead it fundamentally alters the structure of space, creating extreme pressure gradients and influence quantum fields.
By making Negate Gravity his 3rd domain law inside a base domain of a Black Hole, Sir Alfred created a contradiction in reality and this contradiction resulted in a violent catalytic reaction.
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!
The world rocked and quaked.
Seated in Dreadmoor, Julian felt like he was witnessing what the Big Bang felt like and then, a rift in reality was torn open.
BZZZ!
The influence of the Black Hole domain on both domains instantly became more dominant with the emergence of the rift as an uncontrollable and overwhelming force of attraction pulled at both S Rank Sovereigns.
The contradiction created by the combination of Sir Alfred’s domain laws created a rift that led to another realm, the astral realm!
This was Sir Alfred’s plan.
This was a deliberate design of his domain because in the astral realm, all his gravity powers and spells are amplified.
Another reason why Sir Alfred resolutely made this decision to drag their battle to the astral realm was because first of all, continuing their battle here would level the entirety of Falaniondor within a short time.
He didn’t want that, especially not when a still weak Lord Zaratul was nearby and when multiple of his colleagues were in the city.
This was why he was in favor of leading their battle elsewhere.
Queen Mirabel couldn’t resist it.
Alongside the Demon Mage, she was uncontrollably pulled into the rift, disappearing into the astral realm!
BZZZ!
Silence briefly returned to the Kingdom of Falaniondor.
