Villain Cultivator-Chapter 718 NPC Names And Levels
Chapter 718 – NPC Names and Levels
Above the elders, purple names and their levels appeared. As everybody's cultivation base was 8-9th-stage, their levels ranged between 800 and 900s.
Miaomiao looked up to check his level. Surprisingly, he was level 635 despite being at the 6th-stage. As for Xiong Zhenzhen, she was 629. As for regular servants, who were 5th-stage cultivators, their level bracket was between 500 and 599.
'So, every 100 levels is one major realm? It's that simple?!'
Miaomiao noticed the template, and he wasn't happy with it. He thought that his level should have been much higher since his true strength should be equivalent to an 8th-stage cultivator at the moment. This didn't include the sealed dantian universe, which he couldn't use at the moment.
Like children, everyone compared their levels and laughed at each other. Only Mao Shan, Mao Handan, and Mao Cheng inspected their status panels in front of them.
Miaomiao also checked his stats.

The raw stats looked fine, but Miaomiao didn't know if it was good enough.
Exploring the game screen for a minute, Miaomiao found a familiar-looking inventory tab. He pressed on it right away.
Then, Miaomiao found the items that he had stored in his inventory before the great reset. All 100 inventory slots stored countless essence cores, spirit stones, soul stones, entity ores, catnip ores, Unified Element Water from Siren City, PACT tokens, Dao Stones, spare clothes, looted immortal-grade artifacts, and spare spatial rings.
Even the trusty katana, Killer Queen, was sitting in there!
'Oh, I forgot about her. I thought she didn't come with me. What a relief.'
Noticing that most of his personal items remained the same, Miaomiao was delighted. With this many assets, his cultivation progress would be a lot smoother.
Trying to surprise his elders, Miaomiao brought out a spatial ring of a dead cultivator. Then, he ejected the items inside the ring and gathered them on the floor.
The elders noticed the loud clanking sound of metallic objects. They stopped staring at their status screens and turned to Miaomiao.
"Miao'er? What's that?" Mao Shan pointed at the pile of items on the ground. Gold coins, essence cores, pills, manuals, clothes, food, and artifacts reflected the light in the grand hall.
One of the artifacts was a sky-grade weapon without a sentient spirit. It emitted a terrifying aura of a 7th-stage cultivator.
Mao Shan picked up the only sky-grade long sword and inspected it. He then raised his voice.
"Good lord! A treasure! Miaomiao, where did you get this?!"
Miaomiao switched the status screen's tab and hid his inventory menu. He then pointed at the blue screen in front of him.
"There's an inventory menu in here. I pressed on it and found a ring. I brought it out, and it automatically ejected these items. Well, since they're items I don't know, I wish to contribute them to the clan."
"What?"
The elders and the clansmen opened their inventory menu as well. However, most of them had 10 inventory slots available, and nothing was in there other than a system menu guidebook. They brought them out and read them.
Mao Handan smiled and collected the spatial ring and the items. He gathered all essence cores into the spatial ring and passed them back to Miaomiao.
"The clan shall take the artifacts, manuals, and pills to examine them first, but you should keep the essence cores, spirit stones, and gold. They belong to you. Oh, once we identify all items, we will return them to you if they are safe to use."
Miaomiao accepted the ring back. He bowed to the patriarch, appreciating his thoughtfulness and consideration.
'The family has been good to me. I should secretly dump useless items in my dummy spatial rings in the clan's treasure room one day. No, I should give them openly and tell them that I got them from an adventure or something.'
Meanwhile, Xiong Zhenzhen opened her inventory menu and found something else. Other than a guidebook, a cultivation manual had been sitting in there. She pulled the item out and showed it to Miaomiao.
"Master, I have a strange book in my inventory."
Miaomiao turned to Xiong Zhenzhen and raised his eyebrows. He never bestowed an inventory system perk to her, so he was puzzled why she had an item leftover.
He looked at the red cover of the book. The title was written in black ink.
Heavenly Fate Fragment Awakening Method
Miaomiao widened his eyes. He opened the book to read it.
Unfortunately, all the pages were blank.
He sighed and passed the book back to Zhenzhen, "It's a blank book. This might be a prank."
"Are you sure? It looks like a legit technique or a cultivation method to me," Xiong Zhenzhen flipped the pages and saw several pictures and descriptions in the book.
"Hah?"
"See this page, master? It shows an image of a heavenly fate fragment and how you can acquire one," Xiong Zhenzhen pointed at a page with an image.
"…"
Miaomiao looked at the book again. However, it was still blank.
At that moment, Miaomiao recalled a pattern in stories and novels. This book might only show its content to the owner but not anyone else. Therefore, only Xiong Zhenzhen could read it.
"This might be a soul-bound artifact. It seems that only you can read it, so keep it."
Xiong Zhenzhen was surprised, "Can I really keep it?"
"Nobody can read it except you. So, you should keep it. It's yours."
"Thank you, master! I'll train hard!"
Miaomiao nodded in satisfaction. Although he didn't know why Xiong Zhenzhen had this book, he was glad that she could cultivate a heavenly fate fragment in the future.
'I should also train harder. Now that I have plenty of cultivation resources, I should use them to fill all my feathers with elemental essence. Then, I'll endure a couple years and wait for my body to complete its development. Once I'm 18, I should reach the 12th-stage and unlock my dantian universe. Then, I can regain my strength.'
Relying on his feathers as his pseudo dantians was troublesome as he couldn't create stars or planes in his dantian. For now, Miaomiao could only wait.
That day, the elders and the clansmen spent the entire night discussing their stats, levels, status menus, the god behind the voice, and the incoming visitors from another world.
Miaomiao and Xiong Zhenzhen excused themselves and returned to their room. They didn't have sex today as Zhenzhen wanted to study the new book. Miaomiao also used this opportunity to consume some essence cores to collect more Life Essence into his white feather wings.
.
The next day, Mao Shan stopped slacking and stayed at the sect all day. Mao Cheng and other elders also gathered at the sect to help their brother.
Miaomiao decided to stop cultivating and went out for a walk today as it was the D-Day that players would flood this world.
Unfortunately, as Miaomiao was an important figure of the clan, Mao Handan assigned four 6th-stage elite clansmen as his bodyguards. They followed Miaomiao to the city in secret.
Miaomiao had been living in Pirate Hunter City, which was located in the furthest southeastern province of the Wu Dynasty Empire. Its east and south borders were connected to the open sea, which was rich in sea resources.
Mao Clan's manor and residents were located on the east outside of the city, 20 kilometers away from the Celestial Sword Sect and 500 meters away from the city port. As soon as Miaomiao walked out of the manor, he was greeted by the breezy wind from the sea.
Miaomiao gazed at the piers, which were crowded with hundreds of small and medium-sized fishing boats and transport galleys. The people there were busy loading fish into containers or crates and bringing them to the beach. Many picked up the crates and containers and transported the cargo into the city.
Looking at the busy people calmed Miaomiao's mind. He was relieved that players hadn't started messing with these local people yet.
"Young master Mao. What's the plan today? Where do you want to go?"
Miaomiao's servant, Mao Hao, followed him around despite being ordered not to interact with the young lord. The other three bodyguards glared at the bootlicker and complained in their minds.
Currently, all bodyguards put on their chainmail and a white hooded robe. All of them put on white wooden masks and hid their cultivation base. Only Mao Hao revealed his white wings, flexing his angelic bloodline.
"Guide me to the city plaza."
"Alright! Follow me, young master!"
Mao Hao laughed and swagged his butt toward the city gate, where sea merchants had been queuing to enter the city.
The servant flashed a token of the Mao Clan in front of the gate guards. The guards humbly saluted at them and let Miaomiao and his entourage pass right away.
Mao Hao puffed his chest and smiled at Miaomiao, showing off his authority in the city. The latter snickered and shook his head at the former's silliness.
Miaomiao gazed at the wall and noticed a large signboard.
"No Fly Zone. Shipments and cargo carriers must wear the right uniform and the city's tracing artifact."
Miaomiao turned around and looked at the group of flying cultivators again. Upon inspecting them, he noticed that everyone wore the same red robes, and their backs were imprinted with an insignia of a tiger's face. In addition, their bodies were blinking green light, highlighting their presence in the city.
"How systematic."
"Young master. This city belongs to the Tang Clan, and they're the richest family in this province. Once you marry their young miss, our families will become one. Then, our clan will earn more concession rights from the Tang's city lord, and we will gain extra cultivation resources from future businesses. Please be nice to your fiancé, okay?"
"Hou?"
While Miaomiao was admiring the city, Mao Hao took the role of a guide, teaching him about the city's background.
Although Miaomiao was surprised that the Tang Clan was doing well in this world, he was curious if his fiancé was Tang Ting.
'My fiancé is better to be Tang Ting. I won't accept random girls that I don't know.'
.
Mao Hao guided Miaomiao to the city plaza. Shops, taverns, treasure pavilions, casinos, and auction houses lined up in order and faced the main road. Carriages and pedestrians filled the street, and bustling noise never ceased.
"Young master. Please suppress your cultivation base. You might hurt commoners here by accident."
"Already done. I'm not stupid."
"Of course, you're a genius, young master. How could you be stupid like me?"
"…"
As Miaomiao and Mao Hao walked around the street, their appearance stood out among the crowd. Although Miaomiao had wings, Mao Hao's clean white feather wings attracted a lot of attention from ladies as they couldn't see his real face or guess his age.
"Look! Angels from the Mao Clan!"
"That one with white wings must be an elite. The guy with a black wing should be his servant."
"Right. Only elites wear that uniform and mask. The servants can't use that uniform!"
Miaomiao overheard their conversation, and his expression turned dark. He turned around and glare at Mao Hao. The latter sweated profusely and hid his wings inside his clothes.
"I'm your servant, huh?"
"I'm so sorry, young master."
"Right. Pay cut it is."
"I'm sowwy! Don't reduce my wage, please!" Mao Hao cried.
.
While walking away from the central district, Miaomiao glanced at the floating names and numbers on the pedestrians' heads. Everyone now had levels, and their name color was different.
Mao Hao and the people from the Mao Clan had purple names. On the other hand, local commoners had green names, but a few hoodlums in alleyways carried red names. On the other hand, Miaomiao's golden name and levels continued to glitter.
Noticing how Miaomiao was busy admiring the town, Mao Hao was in a good mood.
"Where should we visit next, young master?"
Miaomiao pondered for a moment. He pursed his lips as he couldn't find the ideal location where players might be gathering.
"Is there a shrine, a church, or a temple in our city?"
"I didn't know you were a religious type, young master. Which religion are you into? Buddhist, Pangu, or Cat Holic."
"Cat Holic?"
"Well, it's a famous religion that worships cats instead of gods. I doubt you're into that though."
Miaomiao broke a sweat, "Bring me to a Buddhist temple, cat holic church, or whatsoever temple you know. Don't bother with Pangu, though."
"Right on! Next station, Cat Church! We MAO (Cat) family shall see the Cat God!"
"…"
.
Miaomiao and Mao Hao reached a massive church with a statue of a cathulhu. It was obvious whose religion it was. Moreover, the cathulhu's eyes moved around as if it was alive!
'Damn Mu-Nyang. You're haunting me here.'
The statue of a smiling cat gave Miaomiao goosebumps. He stared at the cat, and the cat stared back at him. Its expression turned into a smug grin.
Strangely, no one but Miaomiao could sense the changing expression of the statue.
While Miaomiao was having a staring contest with the statue, a commotion occurred inside the church.
RUMBLE
The world also shook as if something had influenced it.
WHOOSH
WHOOSH
People began appearing in front of the church and inside the church. Everyone wore the same grey clothes, and they were commoners without a cultivation base.
Miaomiao and Mao Hao turned toward them and glanced at their names. Different from the local people, they had white names. Several of them also had strange aliases, such as McCheese, God-King, Jacky, or Bro Army.
The group of new people looked around. Some of them moved their arms and legs as if they had never done it before. A few of them gasped for air while several of them looked into their clothes and pants to check their gender. Miaomiao even noticed a crazy woman, who started rubbing their private parts in public.
Mao Hao narrowed his eyes and placed his hand on the sword hilt.
Seeing how anxious Mao Hao was, Miaomiao patted the former's shoulders.
"Relax. They can't harm us. Look at them, they're weaklings."
"Young master Mao. Do you know who they are?" Mao Hao let go of the hilt.
"Remember yesterday's announcement?"
"Oh, the mysterious sound transmission yesterday? Then, these people are…"
"Visitors from another world… Players!"
