Yujun’s POV

My eyes pop open at the smell of patchouli with a mix of blood right outside the door.

"Yeon-ssi...Jaehyun" I whisper to him, hoping he doesn’t turn me down and he sighs, "young love" he tsks and gets up from the bedside.

He presses his palm to my forehead and nods.

"I will not hesitate to break in if I hear anything..." he says with a playful wriggle of his brow, "Mother!’ I exclaim with my cheeks turning red rapidly, both from calling him by a title I have no right to use and from his words, but he doesn’t seem fazed as he examines me with gentle hands.

"What? I was a youth once too and I still got it" he winks as I sink into the bed with embarrassment, my shoulders rising to my ears, "please..." I say and he laughs.

"See you later pup" the older male omega says and pats my head before leaving the room and placing my untouched meal on the side table, as he opens and shuts the door, the smell of Jaehyun gets stronger.

’Our alpha’ my omega says, wagging his tail at the smell of the man we want to see.

I sit up straight and watch the door in anticipation.

The door finally opens and he comes in, my Jaehyun.

"Jaehyun-ah" I call his name and he takes inhumanely fast steps to me, wrapping his arms around me in a bear hug with his fists clenched.

"Yujunnie" he whispers before tilting my neck for himself to find my scent gland like an eager pup, I turn my head, and he pushes himself into my neck, the weight of him forces me into the bed with a gasp and a giggle.

God...I had him all night and still miss him so much this morning, what has he done to me.

"Junnah" he says as he rubs his nose into my scent gland, coaxing more of my jasmine scent, light and soft, I never knew I could smell this happy in my life.

He presses harder and takes greedy deep breathes while whining deep in his chest for me...for more, my breathing gets heavier as my scent fills the room, I smell beautiful for him.

"Jaehyun-ah" I call his name softly as his weight gets heavier on me, "Jae...slow down" I say and hold his head to pull him off him.

I almost burst into a fit of laughter at how he looks, he looks soft with the pout on his face like a little baby, "slow down..." I say again and he nods slowly as if he’s having difficulty processing what I just said.

"You’re getting scent drunk" I note and he shakes his head, "No, I just miss you" he mumbles and tries diving again into my neck, but I stop him by holding his head.

"You’re really a pup" I say and he sighs, "you don’t know how hard it is to stay away from you" he says and I say no words, I am not used to be wanted like this, instead I bury my fingers in his hair.

Idly playing with the fine strands of dark hair at the back of his neck, he stays resting uncomfortably, half on the bed and half on the floor.

"Does it hurt?" he asks.

"Huh?" I ask in confusion, and he places his hand on my stomach, "your heat" he says and I shake my head.

"It should but it doesn’t..." I say, still not fully understanding how my body hasn’t put me through excruciating pains yet, "is that bad?" he asks curiously.

"I don’t know...I guess my omega is still sated from the..." I say and go red, "the what?" Jaehyun asks and lifts his head to look at me.

I blink at him, and he blinks at me.

I blink again and he blinks too before his confused expression morphs into a teasing smirk, the signature rascal Hwang Jaehyun’s look.

"My knot?" he asks and I push his face away, "shut up, fool" I say and he grins at me, beaming with so much love and happiness that my heart can not help but skip a beat.

"Why? You don’t like it?" he says and moves closer to me with that heart stopping smile and shiny eyes, "careful Hwang, I’m still stronger than you" I say while blushing and moving away from him.

"Huh-uh" he says and lean in even more.

"Y-yah..." I stutter, "can I kiss you?" he breathes out.

The question makes me freeze; this man was inside of me just hours ago and now he’s asking permission for a kiss? 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Oh Hwang Jaehyun, what are you?

"Unbelievable" I mutter and move into him, connecting our lips for a soft kiss.

We both sigh as our lips meet, my omega howls in me and his alpha makes a deep sound in his chest out of happiness, a response to my omega.

"I love you" he says and I shut my eyes, breathing his scent in and cleansing myself of the smell that once assaulted my senses.

"I love you so much" he repeats, not expecting a response from me but saying it anyways.

He lifts his hands to my touch me and I smell copper from him, immediately I grab his hands to look at them.

"Blood" I say, taking note of the dried blood on both of his palms and the crust of blood on his finger tips, "What happened?" I ask him worriedly and he sighs dramatically.

"Ah shit, I forgot to wipe off the blood on the gun" he says like it’s the most normal thing to say at 5am on a Wednesday morning, "wow, you’re truly crazy" I say while shaking my head at him.

I hold his hands and examine the wounds; he settles on his knees and watches me tenderly as I look at the wounds.

"You fool, always trying to get yourself kill" I grumble and his smile widens, "why? You want me alive?" he asks and I roll my eyes, "I need you alive" I say and drop his hands.

"Go wash them up" I say and he gets to his feet, "I’ll be right back" he says before his eyes land on my forgotten meal, "you are going to eat too when I’m back" he says and leaves before I can protest.

I press my cool palms into my face to feel the heat of my cheeks, I can’t believe the strong alpha heir, the face of the Choi clan, has been reduced to a blushing mess by the man I should turn to a helpless mess.

I want to deny it longer but it’s no longer deniable how I feel about him, I am falling in love with my enemy and there is no way out for me.

He makes me feel real, feels precious and makes me feel special.

I watch the clock to calculate how long I have before my family realizes that I’m gone and go into a fit of rage at my rebellion.

I know what will be waiting for me when I finally return home but for now...I want this.

The door opens and he peeks in before entering with his hands open and stretched towards me, showing me how clean he made the injury.

"Tsk, such a child" I say and shake my head at him playfully as he walks over to me beaming radiantly and he takes his previous position at my bed side with a sigh, "time to eat" he says and I look to the food.

"I don’t feel like it" I say and he goes over to pick up the tray and places it on the bed, "open" he says as he spoons the porridge and lifts it to my mouth.

"Yah, really this guy..." I say and he shoves it into my mouth while laughing, I curse at him with my eyes but swallow anyways.

"Cute, you look like a rabbit" he coos at me, and I raise my fist in a punch while my cheeks are stuffed full with food.

We stay silent as he feeds me and once I finish the meal, he wipes the corner of my lips with his thumb and puts it into his mouth.

"Woahh, you’re really something" I say and punch his shoulder lightly, "what? They do it in movies a lot" he says and I shake my head for what seems like the hundredth time

"Put that down and come here" I say while patting the space next to me on the bed, "oh?" he says and moves with the clumsiness of a teenager as he drops the tray on the nightstand and pulls off his jacket.

"Take it off" I say and point at his bloodstained pants, I expected a teasing remark, but he is too happy to say anything as he takes off the pants and climbs into the bed with me.

I turn my back to him, I don’t say the words out loud, but he knows that I’m telling him to hold me.

"Sleep here with me" I murmur and feel sleep wash over me as he presses a kiss on my nape.

This is where I want to be, let tomorrow come and I’ll face it...I will conquer it as long as Jaehyun stays with me.
