Yunah’s POV

I have been yawning nonstop all evening long and it’s not even late enough for me to feel this tired.

One more yawn makes me stretch my spine, this chair is starting to feel uncomfortable, but I love being near this cute little pup.

Haeri hasn’t fallen asleep for the past hour and it’s a strange thing from her, as she always goes to sleep early then wakes up even earlier.

The little girl has been cooing all along and has been an absolute angel.

Ever since she started to move her arms, she has been making the most out of the action, always the most active little baby in the world.

"Won’t you sleep? Hmm? Aunty Yuyu can’t keep up anymore" I say to her and she coos back at me, "you’re too cute" I whisper, smiling down at her.

The nursery door opens and my mate, Gawon, walks in with a bag of clothes in her hand.

"Hey, she’s still awake?" she asks and comes over to coo at Haeri, "hi baby red" she mutters before turning to me.

Gawon whenever she plays with Haeri always sparks a feeling of more love in me. My stiff mate who becomes soft for our niece.

"Hi, where are you going?" I ask, looking at the bag and she places it on the floor.

"You’re really loving this fighting thing" I say and she blushes.

"Yeah...I want to defend my loved ones better" she murmurs, turning her face away, it hurts me that she’s just like my oppa, both of them are good at always hiding away things that kill them.

"I’m proud of you, my moon" I whisper and she leans down to press her lips against mine, it’s been a while since we had intimate moments together, so much has been going on.

Her tongue slips into my mouth and I tilt my head enough to deepen the kiss and Haeri makes a laughing noise that breaks us apart.

"Yah, not in front of the baby" I say and push Gawon off playfully, she laughs softly but returns to me.

"You’re so cute" she says and pinch my cheeks, making my smile bloom even more, "so bright, so..."

"Don’t tempt me, I’m going into heat soon" I whine and pout up at her, "okay, okay, you’ll be all mine, I can wait" she says and rubs our nose together.

We might not have bonded the way I want us to, but I know she loves me just as I love her, its growing slowly unlike with Sehwa unnnie.

"Yunah" she calls my name in a serious tone and I hum in response, being this close to her is melting me, her chocolatey sweetness is my whole life right now.

"You really love Haeri don’t you?" she asks and my heart warms up, of course I do, this little pup is the joy of my life.

"yes, I love her very much" I says, looking at the red eyed baby as she pouts and blows bubble.

"Do you want them now?" she asks in a flat tone and I blink, "what?"

"Do you want a pup now? You once said..." she says and I see the pain in her eyes, she’s asking for me, it’s her way of wanting to tend to me.

"It remains the same, Won-ah, I don’t want pups, I only want you" I say and she sighs as her shoulder falls.

We are both omegas and can’t have kids together, even if we weren’t both omegas, I wouldn’t want a kid.

I don’t think I am made to be a mom.

"If you ever change your mind..."

"I will never" I say with surety and lean in to kiss her, she holds the back of my neck and sighs softly against my lips, "I have to go before they start to think I bailed" she says.

"You better show them who is boss and don’t come back hurt" I say with cuteness and she shakes her head slowly, "stop being so cute" she pokes my nose once and leaves the room with her bag.

Alone with Haeri, I rest my chin on my niece’s cot, she is still making baby noises.

"You might never have a cousin from me, are you okay with that?" I ask and touch her little foot, she kicks the foot and squeals.

"But, I will be with you always, I will love you and play with you so much that you’ll never feel lonely" I say and she turns her head to the side, hands held up.

"You like that? Hmm?" my voice gets higher as I start to address her with baby voice, watching her adorable reaction.

Suddenly, she opens her mouth and starts to cry, startling me and I get up immediately, "what is wrong?" I ask in surprise.

"Are you hungry again?" I ask, picking her up as she flails her little arms, "baby, what’s wrong?" I ask, rocking her little body in my arms as I check for the reason she’s crying.

Her diaper smells fine and her tummy looks too round for it to be hunger.

I keep bouncing and start to sing a nursery rhyme she recognizes and likes, but she keeps crying, worriedly I press my cheek to her face to check her temperature, but she’s fine.

"Haeri-ah, you’re making aunty worried" I whine, she doesn’t cry this way or this much, her little cries grows into screams and her face is starting to turn red.

My omega starts to whine in panic at the pup’s restless crying, it’s something we are unfamiliar with, and right now Yeon mom and dad bear are not home.

"Don’t cry, let’s go find a nurse, hmm" I say and pick out a blanket to take her out with.

As we walk out of the room, I hear my phone ringing from down the hallway, and I change my direction to accept the call.

Moving quickly, I pick up my phone and get back out of the room to accept the call, it’s my oppa.

"Oppa" I say when I accept the call and I hear Jaehyun oppa’s voice instead, "Yunah, where are you and Haeri?" he asks.

"We just left the nursey" I say, bouncing Haeri with one arm and holding the phone up with my other hand.

"Good, go to the guard house and stay there, both of you" he says and I hear Yujun oppa in the background, "why is Haeri crying?"

"Why is Haeri crying?" Jaehyun echoes.

"I don’t know, she just..." I slowly turn around and find a man coming out of the nursery, is that...Kang Chan?

"Oppa, Oppa...Kang Chan is here"

I say quietly as the man spots me.

"Fuck!" Jaehyun oppa curses on the other end and I hear my oppa’s angry voice, "I swear to the goddess, if anything happens to my pups..."

The man takes slow confident steps towards me and Haeri’s crying stops, I look down at her and realize...she was warning me all along.

"Put the phone down Yunah, let’s talk" Chan says and I shake my head, leaving the phone pressed to my ear, Yujun oppa is raging in a way I’ve never heard before and I keep Haeri tight to my chest.

"Hello Yunah, we meet again" he says with a smile, he looks completely in control, like he’s confident with whatever plan he has cooked up in his head, "get lost"

I hiss.

"Is that how you speak to a savior?" he asks softly, eyes looking as innocent as a person who has never hurt anyone before...but I know it all.

"You are not a savior, you are nothing but a psychopath" I stutter, stepping backwards with every step he takes forward, how did he even get in here?

"Help! Help us!" I scream and he sighs.

"No one is coming, I commanded the guards into staying put" he says and I start to pant.

He got the gaurds at the front, and the rest of the gaurds are training, but they are too far away to hear me scream from here.

Why haven’t Gawon and I bitten each other yet? I would have been able to alert her through our bond.

"Just hand the pup to me and we won’t have any problem" he says and I growl at him, baring my teeth as I speak, "I said get lost" I yell and throw a vase from the table at his head.

The vase hits his head and falls to the floor, shattering as it lands on the floor.

"Are you really going to do this for a brother that betrayed you?" Chan asks quietly, he doesn’t lift his hand to soothe the spot that the vase hit, he just keeps walking forward till my back hits the wall.

"What are you talking about? My oppa has never betrayed me!" I scream in his face, shielding Haeri with my body and my life.

"Really? Then where is your mate and why is your omega...broken?" he asks with a smirk and my eyes widen.

"What?"

"Hand the baby over to me and find out" he says.
