Yujun’s POV

The smell of milk swells between us.

It’s the strongest I have ever smelled it for myself.

It’s like our pup is showing its parents that it’s there.

That it’s real, the proof of our love that was hidden but real. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

But he’s saying I left him...how could I have done that?

"Let go of me" I say calmly.

I can feel the way his warm hands on my face are trembling.

I don’t want to look at him right now, my omega is clawing for him, but I am burning inside of me with rage.

"I left you?" I ask him with awe, "I?" I ask and he opens his mouth to give a response, but I shake my head at him.

I left him? How dare he accuse me of leaving? Doesn’t he know how hard it has been without him?

"Yujun, listen to me..." he says, but I turn my head away to break our eye contact and to get his hands off me.

He doesn’t comply, he doesn’t let go of me.

"You looked me in the eye and walked past me like you never knew me" I say, refusing to look in his face.

"You shouldn’t have come here" I say with my deep hurt coloring my voice.

"Yujun, look at me" he says but I don’t, more tears stream down my face, falling to his hand.

"Precious" he says that name so softly that a sob rips past my throat.

Why is he doing this to me? Why does he always show up to tear away the new masks I put on?

"Please...I...let’s talk about this" he says and another broken sob follows.

Why am I crying so much? Why do I still love him so much?

"I hate you" I say with another weak sob following.

Isn’t it a shame? Crying in front of the house that taught me that feeling doesn’t matter.

"I know, hate me but look at me, just look at me" he pleads and my defenses break down even worse.

How can I live if he chooses to walk away again? I don’t want that.

"Fuck" Jaehyun curses and pulls me into his sturdy body for a hug, a whine sounding from his throat.

"Let me go" I say through the sobs but he doesn’t.

"Hwang Jaehyun-ssi" I say his name weakly, wanting to fight against him when I clearly don’t have the will to.

"I didn’t leave you, I could never leave you..." he says and I give a weak push to break the hug.

I don’t want him to let me go.

"You chose to leave with your family..." he says and I freeze in his arms.

"I thought...I thought it was time to step back" he keeps talking with his arms tight around me, he sounds like he’s crying.

I don’t say a word, not sure what to say when it is now clear, I really was the one who walked away.

My memory takes me back to the day he was covered in blood for my sake, he had sustained injuries from protecting me from hurt.

The day my family invaded his home.

The day I chose to go with my father, I remember clearly how he got on his knees and begged for me, an alpha kneeling for an omega...a sin.

"Jaehyun..." I say his name, needing him to let go of me.

"Junnah please, I love you to death" he sobs, wrapping his arms even tighter.

"Let him go" Chan’s voice says behind me and Jaehyun growls deeply, possessively.

"Jaehyun, let go, please" I say weakly.

He hesitates for a few minutes before taking his arms off me but keeping me close.

He truly seems feral.

I know he wouldn’t hurt me but the look in his eyes and the threatening growls are strong enough to shake me up.

"You are going to hurt him" Chan says, his voice stern and his face rigid.

He doesn’t seem like the youth that was beaten a few minutes ago...even with his controlled scent and his hazel eyes, he looks like a born alpha.

"Chan-" I call his name, but he keeps his eyes on Jaehyun.

"Let him go" Chan says calmly.

"He’s mine" Jaehyun says to him in a guttural tone.

My omega howls in approval but my heart beats with fear, he is raw with emotions and Chan is a walking powerhouse.

"He is pregnant and if you keep doing this, you will harm both Yujun and the baby" Chan says to him, sounding strong and sure despite the fresh injuries on his face.

"What makes you think I will hurt MY LOVE?" Jaehyun roars.

"That is enough, both of you" I say, placing my hand on Jaehyun’s chest.

His heart is thundering in his chest.

"I’m not losing you again" he says, holding my wrist to keep my hand pressed against wildly his beating heart.

"If you keep this up, you will lose me, Jaehyun" I say and a tear drops out of his eye.

"Let’s go in, Yujun, you’re getting distressed and it’s bad for you" Chan gently, reaching out to hold me by the elbow.

He pulls me away gently from Jaehyun and I left him, too tired to fight, too ashamed to face the alpha.

"Take your hands off him" Jaehyun says to Chan, his eyes starting to turn red again, a sign that he is about to lose it again.

Chan gives him an unimpressed look, "an alpha with lack of self-control doesn’t deserve an omega like Yujun" he says.

"Chan, stop it" my words are swallowed up by Jaehyun’s murderous growl, the sound of a true alpha.

My omega whimpers from the alpha’s growl, but he doesn’t notice, he only pulls me closer to his body.

"You fucking piece of shit, you have no idea-" Jaehyun says.

"Arrghh" a loud scream from inside the mansion pierces the air, putting a stop to all the arguments.

"Yunah" Jaehyun says under his breath and the both of us run in the direction of the house.
