Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 848 Xiang Yu’s Indifferent Attitude
Chapter 848: Chapter 848 Xiang Yu’s Indifferent Attitude
Su Yongzhen sat in the car feeling both excited and worried. He didn’t know whose side the others were on or whether they were carrying weapons, so he wasn’t about to get out of the car readily.
At this time, three people standing in the center were discussing something. Actually, it wasn’t much of a discussion as the person in the middle was directing them, and that person was Ren Baohe.
"Place one there later, and one over there," Ren Baohe instructed.
"Why put them there?" one of the people asked, puzzled, as he couldn’t see any distinguishing features there.
"Cut the crap. Just put it where I told you," Ren Baohe snapped.
After the three of them had discussed for a while, Ren Baohe finally turned to the two and said, "My work is done. The rest is up to you guys."
With that, he adjusted his cap and strode outside. Just as he was about to leave the track, he glanced back suspiciously at the car parked to the side.
Inside, Su Yongzhen couldn’t hear what they were saying. When he saw the man turn back, his heart tightened. Could it be that the person had spotted him?
Ren Baohe looked back, then turned away and left. Su Yongzhen didn’t catch the expression on his face.
Su Yongzhen relaxed a little only after seeing Ren Baohe leave. He continued to watch as the two remaining people busied themselves.
They appeared to be assembling something with practiced ease, finishing in just a few minutes.
Once the assembly was complete, the two hurried to the spots Ren Baohe had indicated and hid the items there.
By the time everything was done, it was already twelve-thirty at night. The two double-checked their work before gathering their things and leaving.
Only then did Su Yongzhen get out of the car and head to the place where the items had been hidden.
He stood there for quite a while before finding it. It was clear that the other person was very professional, as the item was well hidden and would have gone unnoticed without a thorough search.
Su Yongzhen recognized the item; Xiang Yu had explained it to him before. Back in City Five, Wang Hongbin had someone install these on his car.
These things were powerful, and they had installed many around here. It seemed like they intended to blow up the track completely, although it was unclear when they would act.
"Surely not now," Su Yongzhen thought, nearly taken aback at the thought, before running away.
He reached a place he felt was safe and dialed Xiang Yu’s number, but after just two rings, there was a ’click,’ followed by a busy signal.
Holding the phone, Su Yongzhen paused for a moment before offering an awkward smile. He prayed the other side wouldn’t blow the place up now.
This was a place Xiang Yu had built for Su Yongzhen, effectively carrying his dreams.
Unable to reach Xiang Yu by phone, Su Yongzhen decided to drive straight to find him. But when he reached Xiang Yu’s office, he hesitated; disturbing Xiang Yu’s sleep could be more dangerous than the explosion itself — Xiang Yu might kill him first.
He lingered outside for a moment before deciding not to disturb Xiang Yu after all.
At seven in the morning, Xiang Yu finished washing up and came out in sportswear. He was ready for a run and some boxing.
Since practicing the martial arts routine the old man had taught him, Xiang Yu had noticed his body becoming much stronger, with an incredible increase in strength.
Technically, the routine was only for fitness, but its effectiveness was unexpectedly great.
"Brother Yu." Su Yongzhen finally stood up and rushed over upon seeing Xiang Yu awake.
Seeing Su Yongzhen with panda eyes and a worried look, Xiang Yu immediately knew this guy hadn’t slept all night.
"What happened?" Xiang Yu asked quickly.
Su Yongzhen swiftly recounted the events of the previous night in detail.
"You did the right thing; you shouldn’t have gotten out back then," Xiang Yu said, continuing, "Did you get a clear look at the man in the baseball cap?"
"Yes, I saw him clearly," Su Yongzhen nodded quickly.
Xiang Yu nodded and said, "Wait here for a bit. I’m going to exercise."
Su Yongzhen was speechless. To him, this was a matter of great urgency since the race track was at stake, yet Xiang Yu seemed unfazed, as if it had nothing to do with him.
"Brother Yu, what if the bomb goes off?" Su Yongzhen said worriedly.
"Don’t worry, they won’t blow it up right now," Xiang Yu finished and ran off.
Su Yongzhen wanted to say more, but Xiang Yu had already run far.
Su Yongzhen sank into a chair like a deflated balloon, his eyes lifeless.
He didn’t understand why Xiang Yu behaved this way, but he couldn’t shake his unease. If the track exploded, he would disappear with it.
Sitting on the sofa, exhausted and sleepless, Su Yongzhen felt extremely uncomfortable.
About an hour later, Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan finally woke up. Seeing someone on the sofa, both were momentarily taken aback.
"Hey, what are you doing here so early in the morning? Are you here to bring us breakfast?" Tie Zhuzi said, not finding anything, finally pulling Su Yongzhen up and asking, "What’s up?"
When they pulled him up, they saw the exhaustion on Su Yongzhen’s face and his evident panda eyes.
"What the heck, are you here to spook us?" Tie Zhuzi quickly let go of him.
"Did something happen?" Xiao Xuan asked sternly.
Usually, Su Yongzhen was like Tie Zhuzi, never serious, but today his serious face clearly indicated something was wrong.
"Someone installed a bomb at the track," Su Yongzhen said.
On hearing this, Xiao Xuan immediately became serious, and Tie Zhuzi, even more dramatically, jumped away.
"You said the bomb was installed. Where is it?" Tie Zhuzi asked with a terrified expression, looking around.
"I said it’s at the track," Su Yongzhen replied testily.
Tie Zhuzi finally exhaled a sigh of relief and sat back on the sofa, mumbling to himself, "So it’s not here, scared me to death."
Seeing Tie Zhuzi’s reaction, Su Yongzhen really felt like going over and slapping him.
"Did you tell Brother?" Xiao Xuan asked seriously.
Su Yongzhen nodded, saying, "I already told Brother Yu, but..."
Xiao Xuan relaxed once he knew Xiang Yu was aware of it. As long as Xiang Yu was informed, everything would be fine.
Seeing Xiao Xuan also relax, Su Yongzhen anxiously said, "But Brother Yu didn’t say anything, he just went outside to exercise."
"It’s not here but at the track, so it won’t hurt anyone. No need to worry," Tie Zhuzi said carelessly.
"That’s something Brother Yu invested a lot into; aren’t you concerned it’s being blown up?" Su Yongzhen said, eyes wide.
Tie Zhuzi nodded and mumbled, "Right, if it blows up, we’ll have to rebuild it. Such a hassle."
Su Yongzhen: "..."
Xiao Xuan quickly reassured him, "Rest assured, Brother knows what to do, nothing will happen."
