Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 800 Tie Zhuzi Arrives Just in Time
Chapter 800: Chapter 800 Tie Zhuzi Arrives Just in Time
Early the next morning, Xiang Yu was still half-asleep when the noise outside jolted him awake. At first, he didn’t want to respond, but after lying down for a while, he couldn’t fall back asleep. He threw on some clothes, freshened up, and walked out.
By now, Xiao Xuan was already outside waiting for him.
"What’s going on?" Xiang Yu asked, frowning.
"I don’t know either. I just saw a bunch of people rushing by with weapons," Xiao Xuan replied.
Just then, Wu Yue and Feng Lan also came running over. When they spotted Xiang Yu, they ran straight to him.
Wu Yue apologized sheepishly, "I’m really sorry for waking you up."
Wu Yue’s attitude toward Xiang Yu had changed dramatically, leaving Xiang Yu feeling a bit unaccustomed.
"Did you two not sleep last night?" Xiang Yu said, glancing at Wu Yue and Feng Lan. He saw their dark under-eye circles—an obvious sign of sleep deprivation.
The two exchanged a smile but didn’t elaborate. All night long, Feng Lan had been recounting stories about Xiang Yu, continuing all the way till morning with lingering excitement.
Wu Yue, too, had gained a thorough understanding of Xiang Yu, and her admiration for him had grown immensely.
"Boss, they’re coming over," shouted someone from afar toward Wu Yue.
Wu Yue threw an apologetic smile at Xiang Yu before sprinting off in the direction of the noise, and Feng Lan, worried about her, followed closely behind.
"Let’s go find something to eat," Xiang Yu said, heading toward the cafeteria. Xiao Xuan hesitated for a moment but eventually followed him.
When Wu Yue and Feng Lan reached the front, they saw hundreds of people gathered there. Each person clutched sticks and bats, their faces brimming with anger.
Wu Yue’s people, upon seeing their leader arrive, instinctively parted to create a path.
"You have ten minutes to release our leader, or we’ll raze this place to the ground!" yelled a man from the opposing group, causing his followers to erupt into shouts and threats. The atmosphere was tense, and one misstep could push things out of control.
"I haven’t seen your leader. You’d better go look elsewhere," Wu Yue replied immediately.
It was clear that the other side was in a frenzy. Despite not having Zhou Zhengming leading them, should a fight break out, Wu Yue and her people were no match.
"Stop lying! One of our brothers clearly saw your people capture our leader. Hand him over now, or you’ll regret it!" the man shouted.
"Yeah, hand him over!"
The crowd grew even more agitated, their shouts sweeping through the ranks. Wu Yue realized she couldn’t hide the truth anymore. She snorted coldly and said, "You’ve got a lot of nerve. Raze my place to the ground? Keep dreaming!"
Wu Yue was inherently bold. Even when Zhou Zhengming had been in charge, fear never crossed her mind. Now that the opposing group was leaderless, she felt even less intimidated.
The people on the other side exchanged glances, unsure who would make the first move. Being a leaderless mob had its drawbacks.
"Hand him over! Hand him over!" The crowd screamed and clamored loudly.
Wu Yue stayed silent, standing there with hands clasped behind her back and her head held high. Feng Lan stood cautiously by her side, ready for anything.
The emotions of the hundred-plus people opposing them grew increasingly heated. Some appeared ready to charge forward. If the standoff persisted, a clash seemed inevitable.
At that moment, Xiang Yu and Xiao Xuan casually emerged from the crowd, each holding a roasted sweet potato.
"No idea who roasted these, but they’re pretty tasty," Xiang Yu muttered.
Xiao Xuan energetically nodded in agreement. Both had soot-streaked faces from eating, their comical appearance drawing chuckles.
The pair squeezed their way to Wu Yue’s side and stopped there.
"What’s going on here?" Xiang Yu asked while taking another bite of sweet potato.
Wu Yue and Feng Lan turned to look at them, and upon seeing their faces, burst into laughter. Xiang Yu’s face looked as grimy as though he’d just climbed out of a coal mine, and Xiao Xuan looked no better.
"You two should get out of here quickly—they recognize you," Wu Yue said after recovering from her initial shock.
Just then, someone from the front of the opposing group shouted.
"That’s them! They’re the ones who kidnapped our leader! Hand him over!"
"Give back the leader! Don’t think we can’t recognize you just because you put on a disguise. Even if you turn to ash, we’d still recognize you!"
Unbothered by his appearance, Xiang Yu popped the last bite of sweet potato into his mouth. Stepping forward, he said, "What’s all the yelling about? It’s early morning, I’m trying to sleep! Get lost—stop annoying me. If you keep shouting, I’ll snatch your second-in-command and crush him!"
Wu Yue stood behind Xiang Yu, feeling utterly speechless. She was finding it harder and harder to figure out this man before her. He was wise, fearless, a leader of his own organization, and the owner of his own enterprise. Yet here he was, behaving like a street thug.
He didn’t fit her image of someone with power or prestige. Watching him eat his sweet potato like that, and hearing him speak, he seemed more like a fool. Anyone unfamiliar with him would never guess his towering background.
"Brothers, grab him and avenge our leader! He definitely did something to our boss!" a wiry, smart-mouthed man at the front yelled.
Clearly, with Zhou Zhengming absent, he had taken command of the group.
The mob roared in agreement, raising their sticks and machetes as they prepared to charge forward.
Wu Yue and her team had been ready all along. They were elite fighters who had survived countless battles—fear was not in their vocabulary.
At that moment, a sleek, black luxury car sped toward them from the distance. The vehicle showed no signs of slowing and raced directly at the wiry man’s group.
The mob quickly scattered to avoid being run over—no one wanted to meet a gruesome end at the hands of a speeding vehicle. The car threaded through their ranks and stopped in front of Xiang Yu.
The door opened, and out stepped a burly, dark-faced man.
Both Wu Yue and Feng Lan froze in shock, as though seeing a ghost. Wasn’t Tie Zhuzi supposed to have died last night? How could he possibly be here now?
"Brother Yu, I’m here!" Tie Zhuzi said with a wide, cheerful grin.
Xiang Yu glanced at Tie Zhuzi’s gait and instantly knew this guy had fought hard all night.
"Xiang Yu, didn’t you say Tie Zhuzi was already dead?" Feng Lan stomped up to Xiang Yu, her face livid.
Xiang Yu wore an innocent expression as he said, "I never said that—you all just assumed."
"You..." Feng Lan thought for a moment and realized he was right. Xiang Yu hadn’t said anything—they had jumped to conclusions. Nevertheless, with Tie Zhuzi alive and back, it was a welcome surprise.
Especially for Wu Yue, who felt a wave of relief wash over her guilt when she saw Tie Zhuzi again.
Seeing this hulking fool now standing before them, the wiry man’s group—the ones who had begun itching for a fight—calmed down. They had witnessed Tie Zhuzi’s prowess firsthand, particularly his "Human Meat Ferris Wheel" move, which was truly unmatched.
Though they feared Tie Zhuzi, they still hesitated to retreat. Instead, they stood their ground, continuing their boisterous shouting.
"Bring Zhou Zhengming here," Xiang Yu said, turning to Wu Yue.
"But..." Wu Yue started to protest, but Xiang Yu had already turned his attention away, whispering and laughing with Tie Zhuzi about something unknown.
Feng Lan gave Wu Yue an approving nod and said, "Do as he says. He knows what he’s doing."
