Urban LitRPG System-Chapter 72 - 20/1 Vision (Passive)
Max reached the university and grabbed Finn, who was leaning casually against a pillar while flirting around with another girl near the entrance, smiling like he had no worries in the world, but this time he was actually glad Max came and pulled him away before things got complicated, he even thanked him quietly while adjusting his bag.
" I thought you would be angry? "
" No, she was actually a bully’s girlfriend but likes to mess around "
" Eh? You just find yourself in trouble wherever you go "
Max grabbed Finn by his shoulder and took him to a nearby bench under the trees where it was quieter, then copied all the notes he missed carefully, flipping through the pages fast but neatly, the next class would be in about two hours, so Max sat there and studied whatever he missed with full focus, ignoring the noise around him.
While Finn stayed beside him and pointed out the parts where Max might get stuck, explaining certain formulas and topics in a low voice, after spending half an hour giving his pointers and helping him catch up, he left again to flirt around like nothing ever happened.
When his alarm rang, which he had placed before studying seriously so he wouldn’t lose track of time, Max quickly closed his laptop and slipped it into his bag because the next class was just ten minutes away, adjusting the strap over his shoulder before standing up.
Then he walked toward the nearby café to eat something, he was hungry, he had done gym earlier and almost two hours of locker room activity, and now his body was demanding proper fuel.
He ate two warm croissants and a thick chocolate milkshake topped with whipped cream, finishing it quickly because he needed the energy, then proceeded toward the class building while adjusting his bag on his shoulder.
The atmosphere around the campus felt nice, a soft breeze moving through the trees and students chatting in small groups, suddenly his eyes landed on the redhead, Jeanne, she was walking around the campus like a stray cat, relaxed and wandering without a clear direction.
Max waved toward her, he was standing on the third floor near the corridor railing, after achieving the god tier skill in driving, he understood his eyes were a bit lacking when the skill was not active.
While driving his vision gets much sharper because of the skill, but now he could barely see her clearly from this distance, if she didn’t have that giant pair of boobs and bright hair, he would’ve ignored her.
Those late night study sessions are finally catching up to me.
Seeing she was not looking toward him at all, Max closed his eyes and rubbed them gently, feeling the dry strain behind them, because he had overworked himself to get here, back in high school at the orphanage, he used to study late at night and still wake up early for school.
Trying to balance homework and part-time work, but his surveillance officer, Patrick, that bastard, always limited him to only twenty hours of work per week even when he wanted to do more.
Most decent part-time jobs in Germany required at least twenty-five hours to even consider hiring someone properly, so he kept losing opportunities because of that restriction.
Max once managed to work enough hours to buy himself a phone after months of saving, and he used that same phone for years, even now it was still lying in his new apartment, a small reminder of how hard he had to grind for every little thing.
Shaking his head, Max entered the class, unlike last time when he sat in the front row with Jeanne, Finn, and a clear sight of the board, this time he didn’t get the chance.
There were already several others seated across the entire front row, some whispering to each other while others were already typing on their laptops, so he quietly moved past them and sat on the corner of the second row.
Placing his bag beside his chair, beside a boy who looked at him for a second with a neutral expression and then busied himself on his laptop as if he didn’t want any interaction.
System, show me the last reward.

Seeing there were still five to seven minutes left before the class started, the room slowly filling with more students and the low hum of conversations rising around him, he leaned back slightly in his chair and opened the reward he had recently gotten.
This reward didn’t make any sense to him at first glance, the name sounding vague and unclear, so Max tapped on the "get the reward" button calmly, deciding to see what it actually did instead of overthinking it.
[Modern Modifier Card. (Item): You can modify or change a body part of your choice.] [Press on the body part to activate.] [This modification will become a Passive ability.]
Hmm?
Max casually slid his hand inside his bag to avoid looking suspicious in a classroom full of people, and then he pulled out the dark black card as if he had taken it from inside.
Keeping his expression calm and normal, the surface of the card smooth and unnaturally cold against his fingers, then without thinking much he stood up from his seat, lightly tapping the student beside him to look after his seat.
Whispering that he would be back in a minute, he needed to go to the washroom in a hurry, somewhere private where no one could see what he was about to test.
" Come back fast, man, nobody skips Professor Jennifer’s class, she’s too beautiful to miss. "
" Oh? Jennifer’s teaching? ...Yeah, I’ll be right back. "
Max paused mid-step when he heard the name Jennifer, his eyes narrowing slightly for a second before a faint smile appeared on his face, the earlier urgency shifting into curiosity.
He didn’t see Jennifer this morning in the apartment and thought she had already left earlier than him, but this was unexpected and slightly amusing, so he adjusted his posture and walked out of the classroom at a hurried pace.
Let’s see what you can do.
Max entered the washroom and after checking the stalls and mirrors to make sure there was no one there, he stood in front of the sink and locked the door quietly, then he pressed the card on his right eye without hesitation.
The card as usual turned to dust first, breaking apart into fine black particles, and before the dust could fall on the ground it vanished completely like it was never there.

What’s this? System show me in details.
Max, seeing the pop-up, was confused, his brows slightly furrowed while he stared at the floating window, he had heard about 20/20 vision before but what’s this supposed to mean? So he asked for an explanation quietly in his mind, even though he was getting late for the class and the clock was ticking. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
