Urban LitRPG System-Chapter 47: Ducati Superleggera V4. (2/2)
"Y... yeah, I won’t overcharge you. I could easily sell this to a collector for about €175,000, but since you’re Finn’s friend, I’ll take only €143,000. I’ll also have to use my connections to register it under the old rules. The EU is very strict about carbon emissions."
Linn leaned back again. This time, a genuine smile rested on his face. It looked like he was simply giving Max the chance to take the deal. Otherwise, he could sell it to someone else anytime.
"I’ll take it. But can you show me the bike first?"
Max nodded and agreed without hesitation. It was a straightforward offer. He would get a collector’s piece and earn Linn’s goodwill at the same time. A clean deal.
"Sure. Follow me. Damn, you’re tall."
Linn stood up first. Max rose calmly as well. Seeing Max nearly a head taller, Linn looked surprised. Max only gave a small smile and followed the father and son.
Max saw Linn walking straight to the backside of the dealership. Soon, he noticed several rows of black rolling shutters. They looked secure and exclusive, more like private storage than display space. Linn walked ahead and stopped at the rightmost one.
*ZWOOP*
As Linn pressed a button, the shutter jerked open. Inside, a red bike stood alone in the middle. Max was certain now this was no ordinary bike for sale. Otherwise, Linn would’ve displayed it with the others.
"This is it. A masterpiece."
Linn gestured for Max to step in. Max nodded and walked forward. The bike looked extremely unique. Sharp lines, exposed carbon weave, and small wing-like fins at the front, like tiny airplane wings to cut the air and keep the bike stable at high speed. Even resting on a heavy stand, it looked dangerous. Large Brembo brakes, a thin racing seat, and a clean single-sided swingarm gave it a pure track-machine feel.
"Full body made of carbon fiber. How do you like it?"
"I’ll take it."
"You don’t want to test drive it?"
"Not now. Just tell someone to fill the fuel up. Can we do the paperwork first?"
Max shook his head when offered the test drive. He didn’t have a license yet, but he could send someone with the bike, keep it in his parking lot, and complete the system mission, which had been his goal from the beginning. Even so, he knew how to handle a land vehicle better than most people.
"Well then, let’s go to my office and we can be done in half an hour. I’ll instruct someone to refuel it."
Linn was taken aback a little. Usually, teenagers would be jumping with joy when they bought even a normal bike. Max refused to even ride it around the dealership. Even Finn felt disappointed. If Max had taken it out, he might’ve gotten a chance to ride it too.
...(An Hour Later)...
"Here, just sign here. If you want, we can handle everything—insurance and carbon emissions payments. We do that for our VIP clients, and I see you’re no less than a VIP. The yearly service charge would be €20,000. We’ll take care of all the paperwork for you while you focus on your business and classes."
Max paused before signing. His days had been getting busy lately. If someone could take some of his responsibilities just by paying, there was no reason to refuse.
"Sure, I’ll do that. You can handle my paperwork."
This way, I’ll be a regular customer here. The connection will stay strong, and asking for help later will be easier.
"Excellent choice. I usually charge much more for this service. Your carbon emission payout alone will be over €5,000 under this year’s EU rules, so you can understand. I’m giving you Finn’s friend price, ahaha."
Seeing his son looking his way with narrowed eyes, Linn quickly explained himself. Max just smiled, tapped Finn’s thigh lightly, and signed the papers.
*CLING*

As soon as Max’s card was swiped, a system notification popped up in front of him. Seeing it, Max smiled quietly. This solved many issues for him. Munich wasn’t exactly friendly when it came to vehicles. Cars and bikes required separate licenses. If he wanted both, he had to get two. The problem was getting even one. It took a huge amount of time just to obtain a single license.
"Your card is as exceptional as your credit limit. You just swiped €163,000."
Linn looked at Max’s palladium card with clear interest. He had never seen this type of custom card before. Max simply nodded and placed the card back into his wallet.
"Finn, give me your car keys. Stay here. I’ve put my licenses in your car, so I’ll grab them and come back. Then I can drive the bike. Mr. Linn, thank you for everything today. Please tell them to refuel it. I’ll ride it home myself."
"You did? When?"
"Well, when you were bragging about your Audi, then."
Sigh, a little lie won’t hurt.
Max made an excuse so he could retrieve his system reward, stood, and asked for Finn’s keys. Finn looked a little confused but handed them over without hesitation. He trusted Max that much. Max took the keys, shook Linn’s hand, and left.
Damn. Got so many licenses, and this is my second God Tier skill reward. Let’s see how this goes.
Max walked out alone, leaving Finn and Linn in their office. The papers for the bike were being packed into a special Ducati bag. As he walked toward Finn’s car, Max pulled out his phone and looked up a few details about the bike.
I can resell it almost immediately, and number 003 has a special price too? Damn. People like to collect weird things.
Max went to Finn’s car and sat inside. Before doing anything, he quietly checked around for any hidden cameras. He was about to receive a system reward here, and he didn’t want any prying eyes. Seeing nothing unusual, he relaxed a little.
He opened the glove box slightly and leaned forward, covering it fully with his body. From outside, it looked completely normal, like he was just searching for something inside. Even if he had missed a camera, it would only show him taking something out of the glove box, nothing unusual.
Show me the rewards.

Max pressed ’Get the Rewards’ as the system pop-up appeared inside the glove box, smaller this time. He had known since day one that he could instinctively move and shrink the system windows as he wished.

Hmm? Close it.
A small pack of licenses rested in his hand. Although he was surprised, Max stayed calm and simply pulled it out from the glove box. The licenses came inside a small zipper bag. Max took it out, gently closed the system in his mind, and casually stepped out of the car.
