โI donโt mean it,โ Blue said, her brows scrunched tightly. She didnโt mean to claw him, but why was she being scolded?
โStop saying that.โ Gael put out his cigarette and dropped the envelope that he had brought into Blueโs lap. โHere, take a look at this.โ
At the same time, Anne came to the room and saw what Gael gave to Blue. โIs it done already?โ
โHmm,โ Gael hummed as an answer and changed the channel, watching cartoons instead. He was not into sports and sometimes, his favorite tv show could be way more childish than Blue. โShould you use Blue as your name? It sounds weird.โ
.....
โI like Blue,โ Blue said, she tore the envelope open and took out a few papers from inside, as she stared at them in confusion.
โSo, who does she become?โ Anne asked, and moved closer to look at the papers in Blueโs hands.
โKnoxโs daughter.โ Gael grinned as he said that and then started laughing. He should have given this envelope earlier to see his reaction when he found out about this.
โHe will kill you,โ Anne commented casually.
Gael shrugged and wiped off the joyful tears from his eyes. โHe has been trying to kill me since ages ago, I just gave him another reason to make that happen.โ And then he added with a mischievous glint in his eyes, โHe didnโt help me at all with this, so it is up to me.โ
โWhat is this?โ Blue gave the papers in her hands to Anne, she didnโt understand them in the slightest.
โThis is your birth certificate and all the documents that you will need in the future,โ Anne explained to her in an easy way.
It was easy to make such documents if you had loads of money and great influence.
โLook.โ Anne pointed at two words on the paper. โThis is your name, do you like it?โ
Blue frowned. โI canโt read,โ she said, mumbling.
โWhy? Your eyes are not good? Do you need glasses?โ Gael cocked his head to see the words, maybe the font was too small, but the size of the words was just fine.
โNo, I canโt read.โ Blue repeated her words. โDaddy had not taught me how to read.โ
Gaelโs eyes widened when he heard that, but one fierce glance from Anne made him tone down his overrated response. Instead he spoke in a low voice, as if what he was saying would be something embarrassing.
โYou are supposed to be in second grade and if you canโt read, no one will agree to befriend you,โ he said.
Hearing that, Blue turned her head sharply and glared at him, she raised her hand, but before she could do something, Gael had spoken first.
โNo clawing!โ
Blue pursed her lips and put down her hand.
โDonโt worry, I will teach you and whether you can read or not, you will be able to find a lot of friends.โ Anne cheered her up and watched as Gael walked away to receive a phone call. He was laughing to see how Blue got upset at him, but his laugh died down when he heard whatever news that the caller told him.
Blue noticed that change too, she blinked her eyes and tilted her head to look at Anne. โWas he fighting with his girlfriend too?โ
Anne laughed at her. โI think he has a lot of girls to fight with.โ And then she shifted her focus onto the paper in her hand. โLook, this is your name. Blue McKeltar, do you like it?โ
Blue repeated her name again and felt it when she said it. โI like it.โ As long as her name was Blue.

The glint of mischievousness and his easy- going nature could no longer be seen as he walked briskly toward a coffee shop and found her inside, in the middle of a conversation with her other two friends.
Both males. And that fact alone infuriated him. ๐re๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฃ๐ฏ๐ฐฮฝโฏ๐.c๐ผ๏ฝ
She was laughing, a natural laugh that she would never show in front of him. She was talking to them cheerfully and Gael couldnโt detect any tension in the air, the same tension that he would get whenever she talked to him.
How could she act friendly toward every other person except him?
Oh, right, it was because Gael held her as leverage for the debts that her father had, which her family would never be able to pay. Not in this lifetime or in the next lifetime.
Gael raised his hand and made the two bodyguards that came with him stop following him as he strode toward the empty chair beside the girl.
Her long hair was as black as night and she must have lost her hair band again as she looked at her wrist and frowned when she couldnโt find it.
โLooking for this, sexy?โ Gael gave a black hair band to her all of a sudden and he smirked when he saw the panic in her eyes. She was shocked, of course.
โGael, what are you... how...โ she was lost for words when Gael leaned over and whispered something to her ears that left her flabbergasted.
โTell them to leave before I make a scene here.โ After whispering that threat, he slumped down beside her and put his arm across her shoulder, possessively. โWell?โ Gael tilted his head to look at the girl beside him.
She didnโt have a choice when Gael said that. โI am sorry, but can you leave us alone?โ She looked at her friends apologetically and ignored the glare that Gael directed at her when she apologized to them.
Gael hated it when she apologized for something she shouldnโt.
โLise, who is he?โ One of the men asked her. They didnโt look pleased with the sudden appearance of Gael. But then, their jaws dropped open when they realized who he was.
โLeave.โ His voice was so dark, as he looked at them straight in the eyes.
