Unscented-Chapter 1204 - 1146
The doctor was very nice. He was unlike some other doctors that were only interested in the money rather than the patients’ well-being.
He was honest with Melissa and Murray.
Melissa stared at her children. They were now sleeping peacefully. She heaved a sigh of relief. She had gone through a lot.
Some relatives used to ask about her kids from time to time but they also have their works and families to attend to.
She had been left with the kid alone in the absence of Murray, except when Linda used to come to her rescue. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"How are the kids, now?" Murray just came back in from the restroom.
"They are asleep" she replied calmly. She still couldn’t get over the fact that Murray took long to show up.
"The doctor gave me some prescription. I think I should go and get them" Murray showed her the prescription.
"Let me get that. I have known this place better than you" she took the prescription from him and looked through it.
She was already familiar with most of the medicines in there. She had been buying them for over a week.
She went out to get the prescription.
"I will be with the kids" Murray murmured and went back into the ward.
He met the kids sleeping peacefully as Melissa said.
He was moved almost into tears. He couldn’t imagine what the kid had passed through and what they were passing through just because of his negligence.
Though he had promised never to let that happen again but the recent one was still haunting him.
"Where is Melissa?" Linda came into the ward.
"She has gone to get some medicine for the kids" he replied her.
"It’s been long that you showed up. Melissa had always been here all by herself. She didn’t have you to relieve her" Linda’s words was only making him feel worse.
"I have already realized my mistake and apologized" Murray said slowly to free his mind.
"It’s been long that the kids sleep peacefully like this. They must have felt very happy to see you" Linda moved close to the bedside. She watched the kids and a smile spread over her face.
"I’m very grateful, Linda. For being here with her. She told me you are always around. If not for you, she might have fallen sick with the kids" Murray appreciated.
He remembered how Melissa had mentioned that Linda was Murray’s replacement and the only reliever she had.
"Do not mention. You should pay attention to Melissa too. Just like the kids, she also needs the caring" Linda advised.
"Thanks" Murray nodded in agreement.
Melissa came in after she had gotten all the prescriptions. She was happy to see Linda. Her face glowed happily.
"You are here" she smiled broadly.
"Yes, I miss the kids. I just came not long ago" Linda walked back to the door. She turned to leave.
"Are you leaving already?" Melissa was confused. "You said you just came" she tilted her head to a side.
"Yes. But I think I have to excuse you" she gave a hint for Melissa and Murray to move closer together before she finally exited the ward.
Melissa nodded slowly. She couldn’t look at Murray. She had really missed her husband, the same way the kids had missed their father.
But it seemed Murray had lost interest in her lately. Things had changed a lot. He was always all over her back then, but not again.
Murray moved closer to her.
She believed he was only acting on Linda’s hint, not that he really wanted her. She shrunk and kept moving away from him.
"I thought you have forgiven me" Murray breathed in deeply.
"Yes" she replied curtly.
"I missed you a lot" Murray moaned.
Melissa didn’t want to believe that but it seemed she couldn’t, as long as she already heard him saying it.
"You don’t need to force yourself. I know I am no longer attractive like back in the days" she said sadly.
"You should stop saying bad things about yourself" Murray lectured her.
"Then why have you not touched me not until Linda mentioned it" she was hurt that Murray only remembered to be romantic with her after Linda hinted it.
That simply meant he was no longer in love with her.
"I always think about you. It is something I can’t stop even if I want to. I love you, Melissa" he said emotionally.
"You were gone for days without asking about me or the kids. Do you do that to who you love?" she scoffed.
"We have already talked about that. It was my mistake and I apologized" he snorted.
"The kids are sick right now. They need you more to heal faster. Just watch them and let’s drop this act of affection" she rescinded.
"You are my wife, I am your husband before I became their father" he held her arms on both side and stared into her eyes.
Melissa struggled to get away but he was holding her tight.
"Let me go!" she moaned.
Murray leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
"Okay" she closed her eyes and gasped. She had really missed him and his touches but a part of her just kept telling her to resist him.
Murray kissed her again before she opened her eyes.
She wanted to tell him to stop but she was not strong enough to say the words. She became weak in his hands.
"I am sorry for everything, Melissa" he begged again before giving her another kiss.
Melissa felt his neck with her hands. She put her arms around his neck and hugged him. It was a good feeling. Something she had wanted for a long time.
Murray held her back holding her tight to his body. She leaned back and stared into his eyes. They smiled together. It seemed they had become connected just like old times.
"I love you" she muttered.
"I love you, too" Murray replied before they locked lips in another kiss.
They kept kissing until they heard someone clearing throat beside them. They moved away from each other immediately.
"I am here to check them" the doctor pointed to the kids
